Slidably moveable connector device
A slidably moveable connector device is disclosed. The slidably moveable connector device includes an elongate member and at least a first snap. The elongate member has a first end and a second end disposed distal thereto both first end and a second end being fixably attached to a surface. The at least a first snap has a first end connectively and slidably disposed about the elongate member.
COOLING ARTICLE AND METHOD OF USING THE SAME
A cooling article includes thermally conductive material and heat absorbing material comprising a phase change material having a phase change temperature greater than 0 C. The cooling article may be used to cool a subject or the limb of a subject. A cooling article may include passive cooling material and reinforcing fibers configured to support the passive cooling layer, where the cooling article is configured to conform to a portion of a subject's body. The cooling article may be a sheet, a blanket, or a sleeve. A method of cooling a subject includes cooling the cooling article to a temperature below the phase change temperature; and applying the cooling article to the subject.
Animal cooling kit
The combined members potentiate the autonomic, thermoregulation of an animal such as a horse. An absorbent wrap cools an animal by removing its extra heat during extreme physical and environmental conditions. The wrap member is submerged in water, excess moisture removed, then placed in a sealed, insulated cooler lined with frozen icepacks where the components stay cold until use. The wrap is removed from the cooler and seen in one embodiment fitted around the neck of an animal and held in place by fasteners. Temperature remediation occurs through a countercurrent exchange where incoming and outgoing elements touch to remove heat. The cooling wrap increases an animal's physiological mechanisms by working with their vascular structures and respiratory tract during selective brain cooling (SBC). The animal while stationary or under movement is cooled through the processes of conductive, evaporative and circulatory cooling.
THERAPEUTIC BLANKET WITH WEIGHT ELEMENTS
The present invention relates to a therapeutic blanket (1) with weight elements. The blanket (1) comprises a first textile layer (11), a second textile layer (12), and a plurality of weight elements (2) arranged between the first textile layer (11) and the second textile layer (12). Each one of the plurality of weight elements (2) is individually fixed at a predefined position between the first textile layer (11) and the second textile layer (12), and none of the plurality of weight elements (2) are in direct contact with another weight element (2). The present invention is at least partially based on the realisation that by individually arranging weight elements (2) at predefined positions within a therapeutic blanket (1), where none of the weight elements (2) are in direct contact with each other, a blanket (1) with better breathing properties and less noise issues may be achieved.
Animal blanket assembly
A horse safety assembly includes a blanket that is draped over an animal. The blanket is comprised of an electrically conductive material. An insulator is coupled to the blanket and the insulator rests on the animal when the blanket is positioned on the animal. The insulator is comprised of an electrically insulating material. A plurality of straps is provided and each of the straps is coupled to the blanket. Each of the straps is selectively matable to each other to retain the blanket on the animal. A shock unit is coupled to the blanket and the shock unit is in electrical communication with the blanket. The shock unit delivers an electrical shock to an attacker when the attacker attacks the animal. In this way the attacker is repelled from the animal.
EquiVest: an improved equine all weather protective garment
Embodiments for an improved horse, livestock, and other guadruped's garment and method of use are disclosed. The EquiVest comprises a one-piece water-resistant vest having an open-oval-neckline with bib-tab design for slipping over the animal's head. Optionally, the garment includes hardware for attaching overlapping side panels. Coupled with the side panel attaching hardware, the bib-tab design provides side tabs with a hook-and-loop mechanism in a secure fit. The vest covers the top-line, both sides, abdominal area, center-front chest, and hind area to allow the horse to have complete ease of movement while maintaining a stable core body temperature.
Dog coat with concealable outer layer
A garment for a four legged animal comprises a first expanse configured to substantially cover the trunk of an animal. A first set of wings are coupled to a proximal end of the first expanse and configured to secure together about the neck of the animal. A second set of wings are coupled to the first expanse distally to the first set and configured to secure together about the trunk of the animal. A collar extending forwardly from the proximal end of the first expanse is configured to be folded back to create a gap with the first expanse. The second expanse is configured to attach to and substantially cover the first expanse in a first, unfurled position and to roll up adjacent the proximal end of the first expanse in a second, stowed position within the gap formed between the collar and the first expanse.
Heatable garment, fabrics for such garments, and methods of manufacture
The present invention relates to heatable garments, comprising a garment body and a heating pad adhered to at least a portion of the garment body, wherein the heating pad comprises graphene particles dispersed in a polymer matrix material. The invention also provides fabrics for making such garments, and methods of making such garments and fabrics. Also provided are heatable bedding incorporating a heating pad as described above.
Animal blanket
A blanket with a first section having both a first end and a second end, and a second section that is at least partially formed from an elastic material and coupled to the first section. The first and second sections of this blanket are configured to be positioned on an animal, with the second section coupled to the first section and positioned at least partially along a chest area of the animal.
Closure system for the front end of a horse rug
A closure system (10) for the front end (11) of a horse rug (12) which holds together the sides (13, 14) of the horse rug (12) over the chest of a horse (indicated by reference numeral 15). The closure system (10) consists of a pair of opposed straps (16, 17), each strap (16, 17) being fixed to a respective side (13, 14) of the rug (12) at the front end (11) thereof, and a connector (18) to which each strap (16, 17) is attachable, the connector (18) being of a shape such that, in use, when the sides (13, 14) of the front end (11) of the rug (12) are brought together and the straps (16, 17) are attached to the connector (18), the connector (18) sits snugly against the horse's chest (at 15), which minimises the possibility of the closure becoming snagged by any obstacles.
