Plastic bottle for a pressurized dispensing system
A plastic bottle for containing a product under pressure, such as a product to be dispensed as an aerosol. The plastic bottle includes a rounded base, a body extending about an axis of the bottle from the base towards a top end of the bottle, and a finish at the top end of the bottle. The base and the finish are configured to eliminate or to reduce undesirable properties such as bursting, splintering when dropped, and stress cracking.
GLASS CONTAINER WITH AN IMPROVED BOTTOM GEOMETRY
A glass container for packaging a pharmaceutical composition including a glass tube with a first end and a second end, the glass tube having a wall thickness d.sub.w and an outer diameter d.sub.c, a glass bottom with an outer area, the glass bottom closes the glass tube at the first end, and a curved glass heel extending from the outer area of the glass bottom to the first end of the glass tube. The curved glass heel is defined by an outer radius r.sub.o, an inner radius ri, and a thickness of the glass d.sub.h in the curved glass heel and wherein:
[100(d.sub.h.sup.3r.sub.i)/(d.sub.w d.sub.c.sup.2)]+(4.4 mm.sup.2/d.sub.c)>0.55 mm.
Bottle with offset spout and counter-balanced base
A bottle having a generally short cylindrical body, an offset spout and a flat base generally opposite the spout is disclosed. The base includes a gently curved toe portion and a heel portion opposite the toe portion. The heel portion is weighted such that if the bottle is rolled along its forward edge and released it will return to a static position sitting on the base.
RESIN MADE CONTAINER
A resin made container includes a spout portion to/from which a cap can be attached/detached, a shoulder portion continuous with the spout portion, a body portion continuous with the shoulder portion and a bottom portion continuous with the body portion and disposed at a lowermost portion of the bottle. At a lateral wall lower end of the bottom portion, there is formed a step which is receded to the inner side along a circumferential direction.
Passive barrier layer placement within carbonated beverage container wall to improve shelf-life
A preform configured to form a carbonated beverage container. The preform includes a finish defining an opening. A body portion of the preform extends from the finish. A bottom portion of the preform is at an end of the preform opposite to the finish. A longitudinal axis of the preform extends through an axial center of the bottom portion. A base layer is included with the body portion and the bottom portion. The base layer has an inner portion with an inner surface at a carbonated product side of the preform. An outer portion of the base layer has an outer surface at an outer bottle side of the preform. A passive CO2 barrier layer is between the inner portion and the outer portion of the base layer. The passive CO2 barrier layer extends along the body portion to the bottom portion, and across the bottom portion. The passive CO2 barrier layer is arranged closer to the inner surface than the outer surface to increase the shelf-life of carbonated products.
Mold for blow molding, method for manufacturing resin container using same, and resin container
A blow molding mold in which a holding mechanism is independently provided to a bottom mold and is configured to be capable of gripping a protruding portion provided to a bottom portion of a preform independently of a gate portion, and a rotation mechanism is configured to be capable of rotating the bottom mold, relative to a neck portion of the preform which is in a stationary state held by neck molds, in a state where the protruding portion is gripped by the holding mechanism.
Shaped metal container and method for making same
A shaped metal container comprising less metal than prior art shaped metal containers while still able to handle sufficient axial load and undergo shaping processes, including necking, without wrinkling, buckling, collapsing or other physical defect is disclosed. Processes for shaping a metal container having a sidewall of variable thickness, wherein a portion of the sidewall having a variable thickness is shaped using a die or dies are also disclosed.
Protective bottle enclosure
A protective bottle enclosure for enclosing and sealing a bottle with an open mouth carried within the enclosure. The enclosure includes a container having an upper portion and a base removably coupled to the upper portion, and an external cap applicable to the container in a seated position of the cap. In the seated position of the cap, the cap seals the open mouth of the bottle carried in the enclosure and forms an impermeable inner seal between the cap and the bottle. A stopper carried by the cap forms the impermeable inner seal between the cap and the bottle, and in the seated position of the cap, the cap is fully seated against the upper portion of the container and forms an impermeable outer seal between the cap and the container.
Protective bottle enclosure
A protective bottle enclosure includes a base section with a cylindrical base sidewall secured to a perimeter of a base bottom wall and an open top. The base bottom wall is disposed below the open top. A cylindrical body includes a neck section, a shoulder section, and a waist section. The neck section includes a neck sidewall and an annular lip disposed around a neck opening. The shoulder section includes a tapered shoulder sidewall. The waist section includes a waist sidewall. The body further includes a bottom opening and a first internal volume positioned within the body between the neck opening and the bottom opening. A cylindrical elastomeric insert is secured to the waist section inside the first internal volume of the body. The enclosure can surround the bottle and seal the open mouth when the base section engages the body and a cap engages the neck section.
