Carton, blank, and method of folding
A carton defines a bottom wall, a first side wall coupled to the bottom wall, a second side wall disposed opposite the first side wall and coupled to the bottom wall, a first end wall coupled to both the bottom wall and first and second side walls, and a second end wall disposed opposite the first end wall and coupled to both the bottom wall and the first and second side walls. The carton is formed from a blank having a first side and a second side disposed opposite said first side. The first side defines the interior surface of the bottom wall and the interior and exterior surfaces of the first and second side walls and the first and second end walls.
Blanks and methods for forming containers having stacking platforms
A blank of sheet material for forming a container includes a plurality of side panels and a glue panel coupled together in series along a plurality of generally parallel fold lines. At least one of the generally parallel fold lines has an increased stiffness. The blank also includes a plurality of bottom panels. At least one of the bottom panels includes at least one bottom corner portion that extends adjacent to and beneath a free bottom edge of a corresponding one of the corner panels and the glue panel. The blank further includes a plurality of top panels. At least one of the top panels includes at least one top corner portion that extends adjacent to and above a free top edge of a corresponding one of the corner panels and the glue panel.
Reinforced polygonal containers and blanks for making the same
A blank of sheet material for forming a polygonal container is provided. The blank includes a bottom panel, two opposing side panels, two opposing end panels, and a reinforcing panel assembly extending from a first side edge of a first end panel of the two end panels. The reinforcing panel assembly includes a corner panel extending from the first side edge of the first end panel, a first reinforcing side panel extending from a side edge of the corner panel, a second reinforcing side panel extending from a side edge of the first reinforcing side panel, a reinforcing corner panel extending from a side edge of the second reinforcing side panel, and an inner end panel extending from a side edge of the reinforcing corner panel. The corner panel and the reinforcing corner panel are configured, upon articulation of the blank, to be positioned into face-to-face relationship to form a corner wall of the container extending from a side edge of an end wall of the container to an end edge of a side wall of the container.
Wraparound Shipping Box Blank with System and Method of Forming Blank into a Shipping Case
A corrugated paperboard wraparound blank for forming a shipping case is provided, including five wall panels and four sets of end flaps connected via fold lines, at least two sets of stacking tabs, and at least two corresponding sets of receiving slots for receiving the stacking tabs. The wraparound blank is formed of a heavier material than a conventional blank, which would typically be difficult for automatic packaging equipment to form into a case, but the fold lines are creased with optional perforations or scoring. An optional modification aiding folding is presented for conventional case packers. The heavier fiberboard better supports and protects an inner product, such as cartons or paper bottles of liquids and reduces damage to the cap and neck. The heavier material in combination with the stacking tabs allows an increase in stacking height, thereby reducing transportation costs.
BOX AND BLANK MADE FROM CARDBOARD SHEET WITH CONVEX CENTRING DEVICES
A box and a blank or a set of blanks made from corrugated cardboard sheet comprising side walls, a top wall linked to at least two of said opposing side walls by a junction line or a folded edge, and a bottom wall forming the bottom of the box. The top wall comprises at least two convex portions comprising a projecting part, and the bottom comprises at least two perforated surface portions of complementary shape arranged to engage with the projecting parts of the box below. Each convex portion comprises an oblique triangular or substantially triangular panel belonging partly to a side wall or a folded edge.
Cardboard box having a centring tab, blank, set of blanks and method for producing such a box
The present invention relates to a box, a blank, a set of blanks made from corrugated cardboard sheet and a method for forming a box having a polygonal section. The box has at least one centring tab (7) straddling at least one folding line (4) on its upper wall (2), cut out on its lateral sides (8), connected on one side to the upper wall (2) by a first joining line (10) and on the other side to the adjacent side wall (5) by a second joining line (6), a parallel and offset intermediate folding line (14) being provided such that the tab (7) forms a projecting portion (16) on account of the folding. The bottom comprises at least one perforated surface portion (18) which has a shape complementary to that of the tab such that the lateral edges of the recess are designed to cooperate in contact with the lateral edges of said tab, and is designed to fit into the projecting portion of a box from below.
Packaging box for fruit, berries and vegetables
Packaging box for fruit, berries and vegetables comprising four side walls, a top side, and a bottom side. A portion of a side wall or the top side comprises a pour opening for tamper evident opening and pouring of content stored inside the packaging box. The pour opening comprises tear lines for opening the pour opening and means for accessing a tear grip of the opening portion.
Machine and method for forming reinforced polygonal containers
A machine for forming a container from a blank of sheet material includes a forming station and a compression station. The forming station is configured to form a reinforcing corner assembly from first and second reinforcing panels extending from an end panel of the blank. The compression station is configured to rotate side panels and end panels of the blank to be substantially perpendicular to a bottom panel of the blank. The compression station includes a plurality of plows at least partially defining a plunger opening, and a plunger vertically movable through the plunger opening. The plurality of plows are configured to rotate the side panels and the end panels towards the interior surface of the bottom panel.
MACHINE AND METHOD FOR FORMING REINFORCED POLYGONAL CONTAINERS FROM BLANKS
A method of forming a container from a blank of sheet material using a machine is provided. The blank includes a bottom panel, two side panels, two end panels, and a reinforcing panel assembly extending from a first side panel. The machine includes a hopper station, a corner post forming station, and a plunger station. The method includes rotating the reinforcing panel assembly upwardly toward the first side panel as the blank is transported from the hopper station to the corner post forming station, forming a corner wall and a reinforcing end tab by folding reinforcing panels about fold lines as the blank is transported through the corner post forming station, rotating the side panels and the end panels to be substantially perpendicular to the bottom panel by directing the blank through the plunger station, and coupling the reinforcing end tab to an end panel to form the container.
