Material for carton, blank, or substrate
A material for forming a carton for containing a plurality of articles. The material can comprise a plurality of layers comprising a first layer comprising a base and a second layer comprising an insulator. The first layer can be an exterior layer, and the second layer can be a interior layer. The layers of the plurality of layers can be respectively overlapped and attached to one another.
Water box apparatus and method
An apparatus includes a box including one or more side walls, each of which defines an inside surface. A bag is disposed in an internal region defined by the box. Drinking water is contained in the bag, the water being non-alcoholic. The bag is adapted to protect the water from contaminants, tastes, and odors, each of which originates from either the bag itself or a source external to the bag. A water-resistant coating may be applied to the respective inside surfaces. When condensate forms on the bag, the water-resistant coating at least resists absorption of the condensate into the one or more side walls. The apparatus may include a spout, which permits the water to be dispensed from the bag for human consumption. In an exemplary embodiment, the water is treated with a sanitizing additive such as, for example, ozone. The apparatus mitigates the environmental impacts of drinking water packaging.
Box blank
A box blank useful for forming a container includes a first layer comprising paperboard, a second layer comprising a paper layer and a foil layer, and an adhesive layer adhering the first layer to the second layer, wherein the foil layer is between the paperboard and the paper layer.
Shipping and dispensing carton
A carton for holding a plurality of articles. The carton comprises a first side panel, a bottom panel, a second side panel, a first top panel, and a second top panel. The bottom panel comprises a first portion and a second portion. The carton comprises a first proximal side end flap, a first distal side end flap, a second proximal side end flap, a second distal side end flap, a first bottom end flap foldably connected to the first portion of the bottom panel, and second bottom end flap foldably connected to the second portion of the bottom panel. The first distal side end flap is in face-to-face contact with the second distal side end flap, the first bottom end flap is in face-to-face contact with the first proximal side end flap, and the second bottom end flap is in face-to-face contact with the second proximal side end flap.
CONTAINER WITH ABSORPTION FEATURES
A container for holding a food product. The container can comprise a sidewall at least partially defining a cavity of the container, a flange extending from the sidewall, and a material comprising at least a base layer and a barrier layer on a face of the base layer. The flange and the sidewall each can comprise a portion of the material. The barrier layer can at least partially form an interior surface of the container, and the interior surface can at least partially extend along the cavity of the container. An absorption feature can extend in at least the barrier layer for allowing liquids to pass through the barrier layer and into the base layer.
Hybrid modular furniture and storage container unit
In accordance with an embodiment, a hybrid modular furniture and container unit includes a base shell, a base core layer, and a set of base inner panels. The base shell has a shell bottom, a first shell wall, a second shell wall, a third shell wall, a fourth shell wall, and upper flaps associated with each of the respective walls. The base core layer has a core bottom, a first core wall, a second core wall, a third core wall, and a fourth core wall. The core layer is disposed within the base shell. The base inner panels include a first inner panel wall, a second inner panel wall, a third inner panel wall, and a fourth inner panel wall. The inner panel walls disposed within the shell and each upper flap is folded over a respective core wall and inner panel wall.
Insulated container and method of assembling an insulated container
There is disclosed an insulated container comprising: an external housing having abase and sidewall structure extending upwardly from the base to a first height, an upper end of the sidewall structure defining an opening of the external housing; an insert having an insert base and insert sidewall structure extending upwardly from the insert base, the insert being configured to be snugly received within the external housing, and the insert sidewall structure having a second height that is less than the first height so as to define a shoulder portion; and a thermally insulating lid having an upper surface and a lower surface, the lid being configured to be received through the opening of the external housing and positioned with edge parts of the lower surface of the lid resting on the shoulder portion defined by the insert sidewall structure; wherein the sidewall structure of the external housing is provided with at least one slit positioned above the upper surface of the lid to allow a portion of the sidewall structure of the external housing above the slit to be moveable to an inverted position so as to engage the upper surface of the lid and to hold the lid in position.
Packaging container and method for its production
A packaging container includes at least three integrally coupled panels connected by longitudinal scoring lines for forming a bottom and connecting sides of a rectangular case, which can be raised from an individual cardboard sheet; at least one end of the container is countersunk through an end panel arranged retracted inside a reinforced end zone including strips of side and bottom panel material, folded back against the bottom and side panels along a scoring line extending transversely through the bottom and side panels, wherein the end panel, via a transverse lower scoring line, is united to the folded-back strip of the bottom panel, and the end panel, in each side thereof, includes a respective tab connected with the end panel via a scoring line which extends the longitudinal scoring lines through the end zone, and the tab extends beside and parallel to an adjacent side panel of the container.
Wedge shaped container and method for making a wedge shaped container
A wedge shaped container formed from a folded web of flexible material. The container comprises a base (1), a rear wall (2) connected to the base, and a pair of upstanding side walls decreasing in height from the rear wall to the opposite end of the base. Each side wall is formed of two side wall panels (4, 6) connected at an edge of the base and connected by a hinge joint. From a fold-flat configuration, folding of the rear wall (2) away from the base (1) causes the side wall panels (4, 6) to be folded inwardly into the erected configuration. The container may have an integral lid (8). The invention also extends to a method of making a blank using a sequence of cuts to create unsupported file regions.
