Canister with dispersing aperture
09828134 · 2017-11-28 ·

A canister with a novel dispensing aperture is described. The aperture is located within a continuous surface opposite the seamed canister end. By thus locating the aperture, canister contents may be dispensed or sipped without the interference of debris-collecting grooves, seam edges, and sharp angles typical of canisters with dispensing apertures located on seamed ends.

LAMINATED CAN END STOCK WITH ELEVATED TEMPERATURE ANNEALING

Improved aluminum can end stock (CES) is disclosed. The CES includes a laminated, amorphous polymer coating exhibiting low feathering, low blushing, and high performance in an acetic acid test. The laminated metal strip can include the laminated polymer coating on an interior-facing side and a lacquered coating on an exterior-facing side. The CES is formed by performing an annealing process on the laminated metal strip, wherein the metal strip is raised to an annealing temperature above the melting point of the polymer for a sufficient duration to render the polymer amorphous. In some cases, the polymer film laminated to the metal strip is a Polyethylene terephthalate (PET) film.

Beverage Can Sanitary Seal
20170327274 · 2017-11-16 ·

A unitary, single-use, sanitary seal for a beverage can. It has a number of redundant sealing interfaces incorporated into its design and uses of both friction fit and captive seals. It may be installed at the canning facility or elsewhere by a third party, with or without the use of heating. Its dome construction flexes the side walls and seals outward in an expansive manner to allow installation. To remove, the seal must be destroyed, leaving a visual indication. It allows a conventional six-pack ring to be used as well as the vertical stacking of groupings of cans. Antibacterial agents such as silver, copper, zinc, tin, or the like may optionally be incorporated into the seal's material to enhance or maintain sterility.

CAN CONTAINER
20230166884 · 2023-06-01 · ·

A can container includes a can lid including a disk-shaped panel portion in which a circular score line defining a region for forming a drinking opening is formed on an outer peripheral edge side, a groove portion connected to the outer peripheral edge of the panel portion and recessed from the panel portion; and a can body including a cylindrical body portion, a fixing portion fixed to the flange portion, and a tapered portion provided between the body portion and the fixing portion and having a diameter reduced from the body portion toward the fixing portion, wherein a ratio between a diameter of the score line and an inner diameter of the body portion is 0.6 to 0.8.

Beverage Container With Cryogenic Additive Sequestration and Aeration
20220055808 · 2022-02-24 ·

The present specification discloses an insert for a fluid product container that provides one or optionally both of a fluid aeration insert, that aerates the fluid product during the pour, and a cryogenic additive insert, that protects the fluid product container from exposure to the extreme low temperatures of a cryogenic additive, such as liquid nitrogen, that can cause damaging interaction with the container lining that exposes fluid product to the bare metal of the container, negatively affecting the flavor or safety of a beverage and/or causing structural damage to the container. The cryogenic additive insert provides a cryogenic additive tray having a cryogenic additive holding concavity that receives and hold a cryogenic additive during the filling process such that the cryogenic additive is isolated from the walls of the container. The fluid aeration insert includes a multiplicity of aeration openings through which the fluid product must flow during pouring.

EASY-OPEN CAN END OPENED BY ROTATED BAR
20170297763 · 2017-10-19 ·

An easy-open can end for making an opening therethrough suitable for pouring comprises an end plate, a score line in the end plate defining most of the periphery of a tear panel while leaving a hinge, and a protrusion formed on the tear panel. To open the easy-open can end, the protrusion is pressed down by a rotating bar horizontally rotated over the protrusion or by a body vertically hitting the protrusion to cause relative vertical movement between the tear panel and the remainder of the end plate, rupture of the score line, and swinging of the tear panel down about the hinge to an open position.

Can end

A can end has a public side and an opposing product side. A circumferential curl is located about a center axis and defines an outer perimeter of the can end. A circumferential wall extends downwardly from the curl. A circumferential, generally U-shaped countersink extends radially inwardly from the circumferential wall relative to the center axis and upwardly. A center panel extends radially inwardly from the countersink relative to the center axis and has a displaceable tear panel defined by frangible score and a hinge segment on the public side and a tab fixed to the public side which has a nose portion overlying a portion of the displaceable tear panel. A circumferential panel joins the countersink with the center panel and has a first panel radius joined to a second panel radius by a short wall extending upwardly and inwardly. The circumferential panel has a bead formed therein.

SCENTED ATTACHMENT FOR CONTAINERS

Aspects of the disclosure include an attachment for providing a scent to a container. The scented attachment may be configured for being associated with a container, such as a drink or a food storage container. In one instance, the attachment is of a size or shape so as to fit around a circumference of the container. In another instance, the attachment may be configured for being associated to the container with a suitable attachment mechanism. For instance, the attachment may include a substrate having a first surface comprising an attachment mechanism for associating the scented attachment to the container; and a second surface comprising a scent. Systems including a scented attachment and a container, including their methods of use, are also provided.

CONTROLLING PRODUCTION OF H2S IN BEVERAGES FOR PACKING IN ALUMINUM CONTAINING PACKAGES
