BIRD PROPELLED ROTATING HUMMINGBIRD FEEDER
A bird propelled rotating hummingbird feeder. A pivot housing includes a central axis and a central hole. A plurality of fins is configured as dual opposing fin sets, where each fin is angled at an oblique angle with respect to a plane passing perpendicularly through the central axis and each fin set comprises at least three angled fins attached to the pivot housing so as to be symmetrically located opposite the other dual opposing fin set with the pivot housing centered between the dual opposing fin sets. A feeder jar housing integrated into each of the dual opposing fin sets central fin. A pivot cable is inserted through the central hole and a bearing element it is attached to a bottom end of the pivot cable within the pivot housing. A hanger is attached to a top end of the pivot cable.
Oriole bird feeder with tapered port access channel and integrated perch
An Oriole bird feeder having a nectar reservoir with a base and a tapered port, and preferably a tapered port/perch assembly, is provided. The bird feeder allows Orioles and other similarly sized members of the Icterid family of birds to land on the perch and access the nectar in the reservoir base while, due to the diminishing taper of the opening in the tapered port, simultaneously preventing average sized Italian, Carniolan and Caucasian honey bees from entering the reservoir base through the port to obtain the nectar where they subsequently become trapped and perish.
Hand held bird feeding assembly
A hand held bird feeding assembly includes a container that has a bottom wall and a perimeter wall that is attached to and extends upwardly from the bottom wall. An upper portion of the container distal to the bottom wall tapers inward. An opening extends into a top end of the container. An artificial flower is attached to the container adjacent to the opening. A feeding fluid is placed within the container and can be used to feed a hummingbird from the container as the container is being held.
BIRD FEEDER HANGER ASSEMBLY
Implementations described and claimed herein provide apparatuses and methods for facilitating filling and cleaning of bird feeders that are aesthetically pleasing and adaptable for attracting different types of birds. In one implementation, a bird feeder includes a proximal edge extending around a central line and defining a plane. An outer surface and an inner surface each extends distally from the plane. The inner surface is connected to the outer surface by the proximal edge. An opening is formed by the proximal edge and positioned on the plane. A hanger is disposed distal to and not intersecting the plane, and the hanger assembly has a hanging portion positioned on the central line.
TOP-FILL HUMMINGBIRD FEEDER WITH FLOAT VALVE BASE CLOSURE MECHANISM
A top-fill hummingbird feeder is provided having a liquid container with a liquid flow opening at a lower end and a removable cap at an upper end, a feeding basin positioned below the liquid container, and a sealing mechanism associated with the liquid flow opening and the feeding basin. The sealing mechanism includes a bottle seal assembly configured for removable coupling with a base of the feeding basin, and a float valve captured by said bottle seal assembly to prevent rotation thereof while allowing the float valve to move upwardly and downwardly with changing nectar levels in the feeding basin. The feeding basin is filled by gravity feed of the liquid in the container through the liquid flow opening when the sealing mechanism is open. When the feeding basin reaches a full position, the liquid nectar raises the float valve which, in turn, acts to close the liquid flow opening.
Insect Infiltration Protection Apparatus for Pole Mounted Bird Feeder
An insect infiltration protection apparatus for a bird feeder comprising a bushing and a reservoir. The reservoir has inner and outer rims with a dish-shaped body extending therebetween that has a bottom surface with the inner and outer rims projecting therefrom. The reservoir has a support surface defining a central through hole adjacent the inner rim, which frictionally engages the bushing such that the bushing supports the reservoir with the bottom surface of the dish-shaped body vertically below a peripheral edge of the outer rim. The bushing is made from a resilient material and has a central aperture dimensioned for a friction fit with a pole to support the reservoir on the pole at a height above the support surface with a liquid in the reservoir at a level below the inner and outer rims.
Bird feeder with improved rain shield
The bird feeder provides a bird feeder with an improved rain shield that is removably supported above the reservoir of the feeder. A plug is secured to the hanger rod to support a rain shield above the base of a feeder while also allowing a user to pass the cover over the plug to access the reservoir in the base for access to the interior of the feeder, such as for adding more feed to the feeder and for cleaning.
Hummingbird feeder with dual food-holding compartments
A hummingbird feeder includes a base tray having an upwardly-opening interior for holding food which is attractive to fruit flies and further includes an upper tray which is positionable upon the base tray in a nested relationship and which includes an upwardly-opening interior for holding food, such as nectar, which is attractive to hummingbirds. A top cover for covering the upper tray includes a first aperture through which a fruit fly can exit the base tray and a second aperture through which a hummingbird can access the food of the upper tray. A passageway network extends between the interior of the base tray and the first aperture, and a closure assembly enables a user to selectively shut off or open communication between the interior of the base tray and the first aperture.
Hyper-realistic hummingbird feeder
A hyper-realistic hummingbird feeder with unique features replicating the natural characteristics of Passiflora vitifolia (red passionflower), such as artificial flowers and leaves that mimic Passiflora vitifolia in color and flexibility that are attached to and around the feeding ports, and the lack of a stable perch that allows hummingbirds to hover while feeding at flowers, which is consistent with natural hummingbird feeding behaviors. Additional features include a removable lid to which the artificial flowers and leaves are attached to, a clear nectar basin that can be easily refilled by the user(s), an insect moat to prevent nectar contamination, and a visible metal hook to hang the feeder from for easy access for both the birds and user(s).
Wearable Animal Feeder
An illuminated assembly, and methods of making and using such an illuminated assembly, whereby the illuminated assembly includes a panel and at least one sheet coupled to the panel, the sheet capable of overlaying engagement with the panel. The sheet can include a sheet front surface opposite a sheet back surface, and at least one light transmission portion disposed therein, whereby the light transmission portion can communicate between the sheet front and back surfaces. Further, the illuminated assembly can include a light source operatively coupled to the panel, whereby in an activated condition, the light source can provide light to the panel. Following, the light can be transmitted from the panel through the light transmission portion of the sheet such that the light can be viewable by a viewer of the sheet front surface.
