The invention relates to a container (1) having an opening (9) and an opening section (10), which extends in a cylinder shape, proceeding from the opening (9), which container comprises a sealing cap (3) that is removably fixed to the container (1) and seals the opening (9) when in a closed position and has a substantially cylindrical shell surface (30), which encloses the opening section (10) at least in part when in the position. Interacting latching elements (17, 34) are provided on closed position. Interacting latching elements (17, 34) are provided on an inner surface of the shell surface (30) of the sealing cap (3) and on an outer surface of the opening section (10). A peripheral protrusion (13) is provided below the latching elements (17, 34) in the opening section (10). A ring (5) is peripherally connected on the top edge (50) thereof to the shell surface (30) of the sealing cap via a tear-off skin (7). The tear-off skin (7) contacts the first protrusion (13) of the originally sealed container.

The closure may include an attachment channel, which includes alternating segments of linear openings and frangible connections. The attachment channel may also include two hinge bridges that remain unbroken when one or more of the frangible connections are broken.

A seal connected to one of the cap and case is engageable with the other to maintain a sterile environment inside the package. The seal can be repeatedly made and broken whenever the user closes or opens the cap. The case includes a pair of slots at the open end. A pair of latches is formed in the cap. The latches fit into the slots to prevent lateral forces from distorting the cap when the cap is closed. A first use indication label spans a depression in the outer contour of a closed cap and case, assuring visual confirmation of breach of the label upon first opening of the cap.

The body (401) defines a retention member disconnection line (403) that is severable to release the retention member (402).

A tamper indicating preassembly or kit of parts is provided for protection of a container closure plug receivable in a container opening having a groove or recess formed thereabout. A support ring comprises a radially inwardly directed lip engageable in the groove or recess. A masking membrane may be sealed at its periphery to the support ring. The support ring may further comprise a frangibly attached, inwardly extending, flange or projection. When the plug is received in the container opening and the support ring lip is received in the container opening groove or recess, the masking membrane covers up an upper end of the plug and/or the inwardly extending flange or projection overlaps the upper end of the plug. A protective outer cover may also be provided.

A cap for closing a neck of a bottle is disclosed. The cap includes a lid for closing off the neck and a skirt for fixing to the neck. The skirt is provided with a bulge line for interfering by wedging with the neck, a weakened line to be ruptured by propagation of a tear, and a stop means for preventing the tearing propagating in the rectilinear extension of a first part of the weakened line that runs along the bulge line while being situated on the side of the latter opposite to the lid. The weakened line also includes second and third substantially rectilinear parts which, on the periphery of a skirt, follow on respectively from the first part to the second part of the weakened line. The second part of the weakened line avoids the stop means and extends on either side of the bulge line, while being inclined both with respect to the bulge line and with respect to the direction of the axis of the skirt. The third part of the weakened line extends along the bulge line while being situated on the side of the bulge line turned towards the lid.
