Container with Security Lock
20240417147 · 2024-12-19 ·

A container with a security lock is provided. The container may have a lid (or top) portion and a bottom portion. The lid may have a hinge which allows the lid to rotate with respect to the bottom portion. A unique locking mechanism on the lid locks onto a locking receiving mechanism of the bottom portion to safely lock the lid onto the bottom portion. The bottom portion may receive contents such as medication which may be securely stored and protected from children who might otherwise access an unprotected and unsecured container.

AXIAL CENTER LOCK, GRIP RELEASE TELESCOPING PACKAGE

A telescoping package assembly includes a plug portion and a cap portion each including a flat surface. One of the respective flat surfaces includes a series of lock openings and the other includes a lock projection that is selectively receivable in any one of the series of lock openings to adjust a length of the telescoping package assembly. A grip portion extends from the cap portion which is operable to deflect the flat internal surface and release the lock projection from one of the series of lock openings when subjected to an applied pressing force.

Two-piece child resistant container lid with push-release latch arrangement

A child resistant lid features first and second lid components for covering respective fractions of a container opening. One or more latch arrangements releasably latch the components together in a closed state over the container opening, and each feature a latch hole defined in one of the components, and a latch tongue affixed to the other component. The tongue is sized and oriented to reach a position neighbouring the latch hole when said first and second lid components are mated together in the closed state. A catch button disposed on the latch tongue juts from a side thereof at a position that aligns with the latch hole in the closed state of the lid. The tongue is resiliently flexible in a bending direction, and resiliently biased into a default position that biases the catch button into the latch hole when the lid components are mated together.

TAB RELEASE CHILD SAFETY FEATURE

A child-resistant container including a container body, a lid, and at least one resilient tab is provided. The lid is pivotable about an axis through a hinge joining the lid to the container body to open and close the container. The resilient tab has a proximal portion fixed to the lid, a distal portion projecting from the lid, and at least one abutment on the distal portion. The abutment on the distal portion of the tab is normally biased into engagement with an abutment on the container body when the lid is in its closed position. The distal portion of the tab is displaceable against the bias to disengage the abutment of the tab from the abutment of the container. Displacement of the tab releases the lid so that it can be pivoted about the hinge to open the container.

Child Resistant Packaging Container with Closure and Release Mechanism
20170210522 · 2017-07-27 · ·

A child resistant packaging container having a closure and release mechanism is provided having a base section and a cover section, with the cover section adapted to cover the base section when in a closed state. The closure and release mechanism includes an inner aperture formed within an inner wall segment of the base section and an outer aperture formed within an outer wall segment of the base section, which is aligned with the inner aperture. A projection extending inwardly from a side wall portion of the cover section is also provided for engaging the outer aperture and the inner aperture of the base section. Thus, the closure and release mechanism retains the cover section over the base section and secures the packaging container in a closed position. The projection is released from the outer aperture by depressing a deformable flange and applying inward pressure to the outer wall, thereby opening the packaging container.

A container with a lower part and a covering part has a latch portion which protrudes downwards formed on the covering part in order to interact with a latch engagement part of the lower part, a latching tongue which extends along the lower part being formed on the latch portion. The latching tongue extends below the latch engagement part of the container in the closed state so as to leave a direct open space between the inner face of the latching tongue and an opposing outer face of the container.

CHILD RESISTANT DISPENSER

Various embodiments include a child resistant and senior friendly dispenser. The dispenser can be used to hold or retain medicine such as, for example, pills. The dispenser can include a bottle and a bottle cap. The cap can restrict access to the contents of the bottle based on one or more incorporated child resistant features. The cap can include a base and a lid. The base can be coupled to a top portion or neck of the bottle to secure the cap to the bottle. The lid can include one or more snaps for securing to the base when in a closed positioned. The base can include one or more corresponding recesses or slots for accepting and securing the snaps.

Examples include a box with a sidewall structure, a reversible lid with top and flanks, and a lock. At least a portion of the flanks covers at least a portion of the sidewall structure when the box is locked. The lock has an active actuator moveable from a locking to an opening position by applying pressure. The active actuator is connected to the portion of the sidewall structure and abuts against a locking tab of the lid when in the locking position. The flanks comprise an actuation area to displace the active actuator by applying the pressure. The box comprises a passive actuator paired to the active actuator. The paired actuators are 180 degrees from each other around the central axis. The passive actuator is inactivated by an inactivation configuration of the lid located at 180 degrees from the locking tab around the central axis.
