CONTAINERS AND CLOSURES
A closure may have a top wall and a side wall depending from the top wall. A plug seal device may depend from said top wall within the side wall. The plug seal device may have an upper section, a lower section, and a sealing section proximate the boundary between the upper section and the lower section. The sealing section is operable such that when the plug seal device is inserted in an opening to an inner cavity in a container, the sealing section engages with an inner container surface to provide a seal between an inner cavity of the container and the external environment.
Container for Keeping Fermented Food
Disclosed is a container for keeping fermented food, including a body configured to contain the fermented food therein, a cover configured to close the body, and a sealing sheet configured to maintain airtightness between the body and the cover. The cover includes a plurality of gas flow channels which extend from a center of a bottom surface to an inner peripheral surface, and a plurality of gas discharge channels which extend from an upper end of the inner peripheral surface to a lower end. In addition, the sealing sheet has a through-hole to allow an interior and an exterior of the body to communicate with each other.
Venting Overcap for Container
A container is provided having an open top end defining an access opening into an interior storage volume. A peripheral rim surrounds the access opening. A flexible membrane is sealed to the peripheral rim and a valve is attached to the membrane for venting gases from the interior of the container body. An overcap is provided to cover the access opening and be retained in the container rim adjacent the membrane. A bottom surface of the body of the overcap includes a continuous surface pattern thereon, with the surface pattern creating a plurality of gaps that define a continuous passageway along the bottom surface to the periphery of the overcap.
Vented container closure
A container closure comprises an annular region forming a counterface against which a gas permeable, liquid impermeable sealing element may be applied so as to urge the sealing element into sealing engagement with the rim of a container opening. The annular region comprises a gas pathway from an interior space opposite the container opening to the exterior of the annular region. The gas pathway may be of closed cross-section extending through the annular region. Alternatively the gas pathway may be of open-sided cross-section and provided in the counterface. Yet alternatively the annular region may comprise a washer, with the gas pathway provided at least partly in the washer and/or at least partly in the remainder of the annular region. A gas permeable, liquid impermeable sealing foil for bonding to a container rim is also disclosed.
CONTAINER SYSTEM AND METHOD
A packaging container is provided. The packaging container includes a body defining a volume. The body including a neck extending from an opening of the body. The neck including a proximal surface and a circumferential projection defining at least one gap. The neck further including at least one axial support disposed in the gap. A closure is engageable with the proximal surface, and a sleeve is conformable to an outer surface of the closure and the neck. In some embodiments, container systems and methods of manufacturing containers are disclosed.
Container for retort food
The present disclosure relates to a container for retort food and, more specifically, to a container for retort food, which includes: a ridge portion having a closed curve shape to surround a tray part; and an exhaust hole surrounded by the ridge portion, so that the container enables a lid film to be automatically peeled off from the ridge portion by means of a steam pressure generated in a food during heating to exhaust steam and can be used for retort food which is stored at room temperature.
CLOSURE AND FINISH FOR SMALL CARBONATED BEVERAGE PACKAGING WITH ENHANCED SHELF LIFE PROPERTIES
This disclosure provides new closure and finish structures suited for small and light-weight carbonated beverage packaging that provide surprisingly improved carbonation retention and greater shelf life, while still achieving light weight. This closure and finish presented herein are particularly suited to small PET containers for carbonated beverages, for example less than or about 400 mL and provide good carbonation retention and shelf life.
Synthetic resin cup container
A synthetic resin cup container including two members: a cup body having a cylindrical shape and a bottom disposed at a lower end of a round peripheral sidewall of this cup body, and a flange unit including a fitting cylinder and a brim-like flange, an inner edge portion of the flange being integrally connected to an upper end of the fitting cylinder, wherein the flange unit is detachably fitted in an upper portion of the cup body by fitting the fitting cylinder in an upper portion of the peripheral sidewall.
Metering material dispenser
A measuring and dispensing device is defined for a stored flowable material. The device includes a container portion and a lid or covering portion. A first spout portion is formed as part of the container and is positioned on the outside of a sidewall, adjacent an upper rim. The first spout portion defines a measurement chamber. The lid closely fits on the upper rim of the container. A second spout portion is integrally formed with the lid and projects from the lid sidewall, adjacent an engagement rim. The second spout portion defines a pre-measurement chamber within the container sidewall. The first and second spout portions aligned upon assembly of the container and the lid, with the first spout portion positioned within the measurement chamber. The first spout portion is spaced from the second spout portion, with the spacing defining a discharge passageway for the measurement chamber.
Receptacle for holding an active substance and corresponding closure and container with such a receptacle
A receptacle forming a chamber partially filled with an active substance, wherein the receptacle is a body and a cap which closes the body. The cap includes a top wall with a first main side facing an interior of the chamber and a skirt formed with the first main side of the top wall. The body includes a bottom wall and a sidewall. The skirt and the sidewall surround one another in contact with each other. The walls surrounding the chamber include the bottom wall, the top wall and either the skirt or the sidewall. At least one ventilation path is provided between the skirt and the sidewall, such that the ventilation path connects the chamber with the outside atmosphere.
