Container seal over-pressure vent mechanism
A container assembly includes a vessel and a lid removably coupled to the vessel. The lid includes a circumferential rim at an interface with the vessel, wherein the rim is separated from the vessel by a gap, wherein the gap is open to the atmosphere outside the container. The container includes a gasket disposed at a sealing position between the lid and the vessel to seal a reservoir of the vessel from the gap. The rim includes a recess extending circumferentially along a first portion of the rim. The recess forms a portion of the gap and defines a venting zone extending circumferentially along the first portion of the rim. In response to the internal reservoir of the vessel reaching a threshold pressure, a portion of the gasket moves from the sealing position through the gap such that fluid held in the reservoir is vented past the gasket through the venting zone to reduce the pressure of the reservoir.
BEVERAGE CAP
The embodiments described herein are directed to a high density polyethylene cap with various flex points that act as hinges or stretch points, whereby the cap behaves similar to a low density polyethylene cap when installed on a bottle neck
Discharge container
A discharge container has: a container body and an inner layer body; a discharge cap; and a valve, wherein the discharge cap includes a top wall portion having the discharge port, and a cylindrical side wall portion connected to the top wall portion, and an annular second seal portion and a second engagement portion are provided at an inner peripheral surface of the side wall portion, the second seal portion abutting against a first seal portion of the mouth portion located below the outside air introduction hole on a whole circumference, and the second engagement portion undercut-engaging with a first engagement portion located at an outer peripheral surface of the mouth portion above the first seal portion.
Screw closure with controlled seal
The invention concerns a plastic closure for fitting on to the neck of a liquid container in positively locking and sealed relationship comprising a head plate (1) provided for covering a container opening and an outer seal (7) which is circumferential along the edge of the head plate (1) and is provided for engagement with the outside of a container neck (20) defining the container opening, and an inner seal (5) which is circumferential within the outer seal (7) and parallel thereto and which is provided for engagement with the inside of the container neck, wherein the outer and the inner seals (7, 5) respectively extend approximately perpendicularly or slightly inclined from an inside (11) of the head plate (1). To provide a closure and also a container having a closure which generally prevent the closure being blown off under a high positive pressure it is proposed according to the invention that the outer seal (7) has a weakened region (6, 6, 6) in at least one circumferential portion so that the outer seal (7) becomes unsealed at a lower internal positive pressure than when the outer seal is of a configuration without the weakened region.
Overflow cap air vent
One general aspect includes a cap for a the overflow reservoir bottle, including a lower cup having a syncline void, said syncline void having by a wall extending above and below at least one surface of the lower cup. The cap also includes an upper cup with an anticline projection nesting adjacent to the syncline void of the lower cup, and said upper cup affixed to the lower cup, with at least one vent to permit gas to traverse the overflow reservoir bottle.
Venting Closure
A closure having several plug seals extending from a lower surface of the top panel of the closure is provided. The outer surface of the first plug interfaces against the inner surface of the container inlet, the bottom surface of the second plug interfaces against the top surface of the container inlet, and the inner surface of the third plug interfaces against the outer surface of the container inlet. The bottom of the closure includes an improved design for a J-band in which the J-band has a width that increases as the J-band extends from the tamper band.
The second and third plugs have thinner and thicker arcs, the thinner arcs being configured to more easily relieve internal pressure from the container. The bottom of the closure includes an improved design for a J-band in which the J-band has a width that increases as the J-band extends from the tamper band.
Closure and package that vents at high pressure
A closure includes a top wall portion, an annular skirt portion, a continuous plug seal, a top sealing member and a top stop. The skirt portion, the plug seal and the top stop depend from the top wall portion. The top sealing member is located between the plug seal and the skirt portion. The top stop is located between the plug seal and the skirt portion. The sealing member extends to and contacts a top surface, a top portion of the inner radius/corner or the outer radius/corner of the finish of the container when the closure and the container are in mating engagement with each other at an atmospheric internal pressure. At higher internal pressures, the top sealing member and the top stop are spaced from and located above the top surface of the finish.
DISCHARGE CONTAINER
A discharge container includes: a double-walled container body including an inner layer body and an outer layer body; a discharge cap having a discharge outlet, the discharge cap being attached to a mouth of the double-walled container body; and a check valve structure. The check valve structure has a tubular partition wall defining a flow path of the content and a valve body which is provided on the partition wall with a hinge portion and has a single swing structure, and space inside the partition wall rather on the discharge outlet side than on the valve body side serves as a liquid reservoir space where part of remaining content is stored after the discharge of the content.
