Metal container
A metal container body 1 comprises a base and a generally cylindrical side wall 3. The top edge of the cylindrical side wall is rolled over to form a hollow annular bead 5 surrounding the upper open end of the container body and a notch 6 is formed at a circumferential point in the annular bead. The container body is for use with a releasable closure 2 formed with an end wall 7 and a depending skirt 8 and having an annular layer of sealing material 9 provided on the inside of the end wall adjacent the skirt. When the closure is pressed onto the container body, the annular bead engages the annular layer of sealing material and some of that material extends into the notch 6. The closure is held on the container only by the partial vacuum formed therein during processing of a food product in the container. After processing, the user opens the container by rotating the closure. Sealing material in the notch forces the closure to lift off from the container to break the seal and release the closure.
CAP
A cap (1) comprising a base body (2, 2) is endowed, on one of the internal sides thereof, with a thread (3), a seat (4) in which a seal (5) is housed at least partially, and a liner (6) fitted onto the base body (2) and torsionally fastened thereto, which completely conceals the base body (2) from lateral views and in at least one plan view.
Screw-cap closure
The present teachings relate to a screw-cap closure, in particularly the closure shell, which consists of horizontal and vertical elements, placed on the closure shell's cylindrical sidewall inner surface. Horizontal parts include a plurality of thread segments, and both ends of the cylindrical sidewall (where cylindrical side wall ends and slopes start). Vertical elements consist of areas with increased wall thickness under both ends of the plurality of thread segments. Combination of aforementioned elements create a frame, that guarantees sufficient structural stiffness and allows to decrease the closure's wall thickness.
Container And Closure
A container and closure includes a closure secured to the container through projections comprising a series of horizontal, circumferentially spaced apart elements arranged so that the elements on the closure can pass though the spaces between the elements on the container and locate beneath them to secure the closure to the container. The elements of the projection on the container are separated from each other in the circumferential direction and do not overlap with each other in the vertical direction and the elements of the projection on the closure are separated from each other in the circumferential direction and do not overlap with each other in the vertical direction. The closure carries a sealing member for providing a seal with either an internal or external sealing surface of the container. The seal is driven down from a lead-in surface to engage the sealing surface as the closure is rotated.
Protective cap for a dispenser, and discharge device for discharging pharmaceutical and/or cosmetical liquids
A protective cap for a dispenser for discharging liquids, wherein the dispenser has a liquid reservoir and an outlet opening through which the liquid is discharged into a surrounding atmosphere. The protective cap has an inner cap and an outer cap, the inner cap having a ventilation opening for communication between an interior of the protective cap and an external environment. Before use, the outer cap is mounted on the inner cap in a first position with the inner cap and the outer cap in sealing contact with each other and the ventilation opening is separated in an airtight and germproof manner from the environment, and the outer cap is movable relative to the inner cap from the first position to a second position in which the inner and outer caps are out of sealing contact with each other and the ventilation opening communicates with the environment.
Protective cap for a dispenser, and discharge device for discharging pharmaceutical and/or cosmetical liquids
The invention relates to a protective cap for a dispenser, and to a dispenser for discharging pharmaceutical and/or cosmetical liquids, wherein the dispenser has a liquid reservoir and an outlet opening through which the liquid can be discharged into a surrounding atmosphere. The protective cap comprises an outer cap and an inner element inserted therein, wherein either at least one ventilation channel, which can be closed by means of a shut-off element and provides communication between an interior of the protective cap and an external environment, is formed between the outer cap and the inner element, or the inner element closes a ventilation opening of the outer cap.
Container with twist-off closure
A container comprises a releasable metal closure formed with an end wall and a depending skirt and having an annular layer of sealing compound provided on the inside of the end wall adjacent the skirt and a container body comprising a neck with an annular sealing surface surrounding a circular opening and adapted to seal against the annular layer of sealing compound over an annular sealing interface in the closed position of the closure on the container body. The container body and the closure are formed with no mechanical means for coupling them together to form or maintain a seal therebetween and the seal is provided by a partial vacuum formed in the container during processing. The annular sealing surface of the container body is formed with a localized protrusion or recess which provides a discontinuity in the annular sealing interface, whereby relative rotation of the closure and container body from the closed position creates a venting path from the interior of the container body to the exterior so that the seal is broken and the closure is released.
Vacuum Release Seal for a Closure and Container Package
A seal for a closure assembly that includes a seal ring; and a carrier being coupled to the seal ring, extending circumferentially and radially outwardly of the seal ring to a radially outer periphery, and having a circumferentially extending pocket in the radially outer periphery adapted to release a vacuum pressure.
Delivery of Medicine or Other Therapy Orally
Among other things, a container has a chamber and an open end of the chamber. The container is configured at the open end to be surrounded by lips of a user to permit the user to apply suction to the chamber through the open end. A gelled dose of a therapeutic agent in the chamber is in contact with a wall of the chamber and is between the wall of the chamber and the open end. There is at least one hole in the wall for air to reach the gelled dose when the user is applying the suction to the chamber to release the gelled dose into the user's mouth. A mechanism prevents contamination of the gelled dose through the hole in the wall until the user is ready to consume the gelled dose and permits air to reach the gelled dose through the holes when the user is ready to consume the gelled dose.
LID ASSEMBLY FOR A CONTAINER
A lid assembly for a container includes a housing including a closure, a first vent, and a second vent. The housing defines a receiving area and a gas flow pathway. The gas flow pathway extends between the first vent, allowing gas transfer between the receiving area and the gas flow pathway, and the second vent, allowing gas transfer between the gas flow pathway and an atmosphere. An extensible and collapsible bellows coupled to the housing includes an open distal end open to the receiving area and the first vent and configured to fit over the container. The bellows is adjustable between an extended position, extended outward of the receiving area to the open distal end, and a collapsed position, compressed in the receiving area between the first vent and the open distal end. The closure is movable into and out of a closed position closing the first vent.
