FASTENERS
A fastener (1) has an elongate fastening band (2) and a buckle (10) for engagement with the band (2) to form a closed loop fastener. The buckle (10) is overmoulded on a first end region (8) of the fastening band (2). Such a design provides a fastener that has higher strength and is more compact than previously-considered designs.
CONTACT-FREE RETAINER FOR AN ASSEMBLY OF AN OMEGA ASSEMBLY FOR MATERIAL BEING BOUND
The invention relates to a fastening system having at least one cable tie (13) which has i) a toothed cable tie strip (17) and ii) a cable tie head (16) with a detent device for detent engagement with the toothed cable tie strip (17), and having at least one holding apparatus (1) which is separate from the cable tie (13), wherein the cable tie (13), in the fully assembled state, is positioned relative to the holding apparatus (1) such that the material for binding (39) held by the cable tie (13) is arranged spaced apart from the holding apparatus (1) in order to reduce abrasion of the material for binding (39). The invention likewise relates to a cable tie (13) and to a holding apparatus (1) for a fastening system of said type, and to a corresponding assembly method.
BINDING MEMBER AND ENGAGING MEMBER
A binding member includes a belt portion and a buckle portion. The buckle portion has a pillar-like shape that extends upward relative to a lower surface of the buckle portion, and has a belt insertion portion. The belt portion extends diagonally downward from a first side, in a left-right direction, of the buckle portion in the first side direction relative to the lower surface. The belt insertion portion penetrates through the buckle portion diagonally upward from a second side opposite to the first side, in the left-right direction, of the buckle portion toward the first side relative to the lower surface.
Elastomer lined self-locking tie
An elastomer lined self-locking tie includes an elongated strap, at least one cavity or recess in the elongated strap, an elastomer segment, and a locking head. The elongated strap includes a head end positioned opposite a tapered end. The tapered end includes a first surface positioned opposite a second surface. The cavity is positioned in either the first surface or the second surface. The elastomer segment is positioned within the cavity and extends beyond either the first surface or the second surface. The locking head extends from the head end of the elongated strap and includes an orifice shaped to receive the tapered end of the elongated strap and the elastomer segment.
ENGAGING MEMBER
An engaging member includes an engaging portion configured to be inserted and assembled into a fixing hole of a vehicle body, an attachment portion configured to attach elongated wire routing materials, and linking portions configured to connect the engaging portion and the attachment portion to each other. The linking portions are extendable and contractable in a longitudinal direction of the wire routing materials, and can oscillate the engaging portion side in an orthogonal direction, thereby allowing the engaging portion to be movable in the longitudinal direction and the orthogonal direction. A protrusion and a through portion are provided as a movement restricting portion for restricting the movement of the engaging portion to movement within a predetermined range.
Reusable tie strap with multiple apertures
A tie strap comprising a first end having a plurality of first apertures adapted to receive a medial region and to couple with a plurality of ribs defined thereon, a hooked or knobbed catch mechanism protruding from a distal portion of the first end, and a plurality of second apertures situated along the medial region adapted to receive the catch mechanism. The second apertures may be further adapted to receive the medial region and to couple with the ribs defined thereon.
Bundling band
A bundling band includes: a first band portion having a first band, and a first head portion connected to a first end thereof; and a second band portion having a second band, and a second head portion connected to first and second ends thereof. In the first head portion and second head portion, a first insertion hole (insertable with the second band, second head portion, and first band) and a second insertion hole (insertable with the second band) are formed, respectively. The first insertion hole is provided with a locking mechanism locking drawing-out of the inserted first band by engaging with one of engaging grooves. The second insertion hole is provided with a locking mechanism locking drawing-out of the inserted second band by engaging with one of engaging grooves.
Multifunctional insulating sleeve with clasp mechanism
A sleeve for an object is disclosed. In an open configuration, the sleeve is an elongate strip having an inner wall surface and an outer opposed wall surface. The inner and outer wall surfaces can be textured. The inner wall surface is configured to contact the object. The strip includes a clasp mechanism. The clasp mechanism can include at least one protrusion extending radially outward from the outer wall surface. The protrusion can be located at a proximal marginal end of the outer wall surface. The class mechanism can further include at least one indented receptacle located at a distal marginal end of the outer wall surface. The receptacle can extend between the inner and outer wall surfaces. In a closed configuration, the receptacle can be adapted to securably receive and restrain the protrusion therein. In the closed configuration, the strip forms a band around a circumference of the object.
Antimicrobial cable tie
Cable ties including an antimicrobial component and optionally a detectable component are disclosed. More particularly, cable ties including a composition having a base plastic, an antimicrobial additive and optionally a detectable additive selected from a detectable metal additive, an X-ray detectable additive and combinations thereof as well as methods of making the same are disclosed. Also, cable ties including an antimicrobial metallic barb and a composition having a base plastic and optionally an antimicrobial additive and/or a detectable additive selected from a detectable metal additive, an X-ray detectable additive and combinations thereof are disclosed.
