CABLE TIE

A cable tie may include a desired length of belt configured to be wrapped around a bundle of tied articles, and a buckle connected to a proximal end portion of the belt and having a belt insertion hole. The belt includes a base portion linearly extending from the buckle and a functional portion having a first linear portion and a second linear portion. The first linear portion is connected to a distal end of the base portion at a proximal end thereof. The second linear portion is connected to a distal end of the first liner portion at a proximal end thereof. The first linear portion is inclined at a first angle with respect to the base portion in a belt wrapping direction. The second linear portion is inclined at a second angle with respect to the first liner portion in the belt wrapping direction. The first angle is determined to be equal to or smaller than the second angle.

CABLE TIE

A cable tie may include a desired length of belt, and a buckle connected to a proximal end portion of the belt. The buckle has a belt insertion hole and a slot continuous with the belt insertion hole. The belt insertion hole is configured such that the belt is longitudinally introduced thereinto. The slot is configured such that the belt is laterally introduced into the belt insertion hole therethrough. The slot includes an inlet opening that is gradually widened outward.

An embodiment provides an adjustable band with non-occlusive retention in case of excessive force (i.e., automatically loosens) and traction for the broad use of tubing management in medical device and patient contact applications. Embodiments may further include features such as guides and or channels on the band to hold tubing. Embodiments may be secured to patients to be used as a non-adhesive securement aid for tubing/catheter (e.g., IV's, enteral tubes, Foley catheters, endotracheal tubes, nasogastric (NG) tubes, chest tubes, and the like) retention on patients.

The present invention relates to one-piece fasteners having a strap and a locking head utilized to secure elongate objects such as cables in a bundle, and in particular, to hybrid fasteners having both raised detents and locking teeth as part of the fastener strap.

FUSIBLE TIE BAND

A tie band with various locking methods is disclosed. The tie band can include a head and a band extending from the head. The head includes a first flange, a second flange, and a connector connecting the first flange and the second flange. The connector defines a hole in the head. The band includes two elongate faces, two side faces, and protrusions extending from the side faces. In some aspects, the band is fusible to the head by applying heat to the head, at least one of the protrusions, or a combination thereof when the portion of the band is inserted through the hole.

An assembly for securing a first component to a second component, including an attachment bracket having two openings defined therethrough, each of the openings having a closed perimeter, and a tie element extending through the openings, the tie element including two abutment portions each sized relative to the openings to prevent the abutment portions from passing through the openings, the abutment portions being positioned on opposite sides of one of the openings with at least one of the abutment portions being positioned between the openings. The components may be a harness and a fuel probe, for example in a fuel tank of an aircraft.

BUNDLING BAND

A bundling band includes: a first band portion having a first band, and a first head portion connected to a first end thereof; and a second band portion having a second band, and a second head portion connected to first and second ends thereof. In the first head portion and second head portion, a first insertion hole (insertable with the second band, second head portion, and first band) and a second insertion hole (insertable with the second band) are formed, respectively. The first insertion hole is provided with a locking mechanism locking drawing-out of the inserted first band by engaging with one of engaging grooves. The second insertion hole is provided with a locking mechanism locking drawing-out of the inserted second band by engaging with one of engaging grooves.

REUSABLE SYSTEM FOR SECURING PACKAGING AND PROVIDING TAMPER EVIDENCE
20240133216 · 2024-04-25 · ·

A reusable system for securing packaging and providing tamper evidence is disclosed. The system may comprise a housing for securing an opening of the packaging, an access controller operably engaged to the housing and a security member. The housing may comprise a lock, wherein release of the lock may enable opening of the packaging. The access controller may be configured to operably move relative to the housing to assume positions comprising an active position and an inactive position. In the active position, the lock is prevented from being released thereby preventing the opening of the packaging. In the inactive position, the lock is releasable thereby enabling the opening of the packaging. The movement of the access controller from the active position to the inactive position causes change in the security member, wherein the change is capable of detecting tampering.
