Triple layered compressible liner for impact protection

A compressible liner for a helmet or other apparatus subject to shock loading comprises three substantially co-extensive layers mutually engaged by respective cone-like protuberances and cone-like recesses. The intermediate layer is of a different compressibility and provides for de-coupling of the layers in an oblique impact.

COMPOSITE STRUCTURAL BOARD

A box is made of structural boards having a face plate (2) including a main body portion (2c) that is substantially in one plane and a peripheral portion (2a) surrounding the main body. The boards further include a base plate (3) having integrally formed protrusions. The lower surface of the face plate (2) is attached to and supported on top of the protrusions. A stiffener (4) connects the peripheral portion (2a) of the face plate (2) and the base plate (3) together. At least a part of the stiffener (4) is fixedly connected to the base plate (3), and at least another part of the stiffener (4) is fixedly connected to at least a part of a lower surface of the peripheral portion (2a) of the face plate.

CONTINUOUS FANFOLDED JOINED CORRUGATED

A bale of stock packaging material includes a continuous tube of paperboard material, the continuous tube of paperboard material being flattened and folded back and forth on itself into a fan-folded bale. The continuous tube of paperboard can be a single piece of paperboard with two opposed edges that are folded to overlap with each other. The paperboard material can include a corrugated layer. The opposed edges can be adhered together to form a single seam that runs lengthwise along the continuous tube of paperboard. The adhesive can be applied between the two edges which can join to form the single seam.

Films and bags with visually distinct regions and methods of making the same

One or more implementations of a multi-layer film include a first layer non-continuously bonded to a second pigmented layer. The multi-layer film includes an unexpected appearance differing from the appearance of the pigmented layer. In one or more embodiments, the multi-layer film includes a metallic appearance despite the pigmented layer being devoid of metallic pigment. The multi-layer film also includes areas that are visually distinct from areas of the film with the unexpected appearance. The visually-distinct areas comprise areas in which the first layer non-continuously is in intimate contact with the second pigmented layer. The visually-distinct areas have the appearance of the pigmented layer or another appearance. One or more implementations also include methods of making multi-layer films and bags with an unexpected appearance and visually-distinct areas.

MOISTURE RESISTANT PAD FOR LIQUID CRYSTAL PANEL

A moisture resistant pad for a liquid crystal panel, including at least one moisture resistant construction including a central region and an edge region disposed around the central region, wherein the edge region includes a first undulation structure disposed around the central region, the first undulation structure being a closed structure for blocking water vapor out of the central region. In the moisture resistant pad for a liquid crystal panel, channels formed within a surface of a product that needs to be moisture resistant are isolated from the external environment so that water vapor in the external environment cannot contact the product surface through the channels. As a result, the pad has good moisture resistance, suitable in transportation environments or in packaging container environments.

FILMS AND BAGS HAVING LOW-FORCE EXTENSION PATTERNS

A thermoplastic film which exhibits elastic-like behavior along at least one axis when stretched or elongated and then released. The thermoplastic film comprises a plurality of raised rib-like elements extending in a direction perpendicular to a main surface of the thermoplastic film. The thermoplastic film further includes a plurality of web areas positioned about the plurality of raised rib-like elements. The plurality of raised rib-like elements and plurality of web areas are arranged in a complex pattern. The complex pattern provides visual and tactile cues as the films are stretched or elongated. The complex pattern can cause the thermoplastic film to have a low force extension.

FILMS AND BAGS WITH BILLOW POCKETS FOR CAPTURING LIQUIDS

A multiple-ply thermoplastic film which exhibits elastic-like behavior along at least one axis when stretched or elongated and then released. The complex pattern, when stretched or elongated and then released, can cause areas of billowing and delamination between plies of the multiple-ply thermoplastic film. The resulting billowed and delaminated areas form billow pockets for capturing liquids that can capture liquids when one of the plies is punctured.

CURVED PANEL AND METHOD OF FORMING THE SAME
20200254571 · 2020-08-13 ·

A method of forming a board into a curved panel, including: providing a cutting tool having a support portion and a cutting portion, the cutting portion having a first cutting edge, and a plurality of second cutting edges disposed adjacent each other and recessed relative to the first cutting edge by a defined offset dimension; placing a corrugated board on the support portion such that a b-facing-layer is disposed facing the support portion, and an a-facing-layer is disposed facing the cutting portion; advancing the cutting portion toward the board such that the first cutting edge cuts completely through both the a-facing-layer and the b-facing-layer of the board, and the plurality of second cutting edges cut completely through the a-facing-layer, but not completely through the b-facing-layer; and, retracting the cutting portion away from the support portion and removing the panel to facilitate further manipulation of the panel into the curved panel.

PLASTIC CORRUGATED CONTAINER WITH SOFT SCORE LINE
