INTEGRATED PACKAGE OPENING FEATURE
A package is described that includes a laminate structure with a first layer and a second layer. The first layer is adjacent a compartment of the package and includes a predefined cut through which access is provided to the contents of the package. The second layer includes an integrated pull strip that is at least partially defined by a line of weakness formed in the second layer. The pull strip overlies the predefined cut and is configured to be separated from a remainder of the second layer by a user. In this way, separation of the pull strip from the package (e.g., as the pull strip is peeled away from the package) may serve to expose the predefined cut and allows the first and second edges to be moved apart to provide access to the compartment and the contents stored therein via the predefined cut.
CONVERTIBLE FOOD BAG
The invention provides for sanitary consumption of a meal including a bagged sandwich and makes it easier for consumers to eat while using condiments. Once opened along the perforations, the opened bag creates three separate surfaces, two flat surfaces on each end and a bowl located at its center. The bowl creates a safe location to securely store condiments while consuming the food item.
STICKPACK-TYPE PACKAGING FOR A TEST STRIP
The application concerns a stickpack-type packaging comprising an elongate foil tube (12) having two transverse sealing joints (16,18), such that a tightly closed fill space (20) is provided in the foil tube (12) for storing a product. It is proposed that a single disposable test strip (22) is arranged in the fill space (20), wherein the test strip (22) has a chemistry pad (26) for detecting an analyte in a sample, and the chemistry pad (26) is arranged at a distance at least from one of the transverse sealing joints (16,18).
FILM AND POUCH
An object of the present invention is to provide a film and a pouch having basic characteristics such as a strength and barrier properties and achieving good openability. A film (10) according to the present invention includes at least a sealant layer (11), the film is formed with a cut guide line (G), and the cut guide line includes an impression (11A) formed in a surface of the sealant layer. In a pouch (30), the films are superimposed in a state where the sealant layers face each other, and peripheral edge parts are heat-sealed. The cut guide line is placed extending across at least a position where heat seal is not performed.

A packaged food that includes a sealed bag defining therein a sealed cavity containing a food, the sealed bag being formed from a flexible packaging film that includes a monoaxially oriented polymeric layer defining a preferential tear direction extending along the film; wherein the packaging film is configured to form first and second elongate tear-away portions of the sealed bag which are on opposite sides of, and adjacent to, an elongate central portion of the sealed bag, the first and second elongate tear-away portions and the elongate central portion extending along the preferential tear direction, whereby tearing away of the first and second elongate tear-away portions along the preferential tear direction to open the sealed bag leaves the elongate central portion forming a handle portion of the opened bag.

Film-packaged tissue paper comprising a pop-up type substantially cuboid bundle of tissue paper packaged with a flexible resin packaging film, and characterized in that air vents for providing communication between the inside and the outside of the package are formed at positions on the packaging film facing short-side surfaces of the bundle of tissue paper where no folded edges are arranged.

According to an aspect of the present invention, there is provided a package comprising: a sheet of flexible film material folded along a longitudinal direction to bring edges of the sheet together, said edges being sealed to form a longitudinal rear seam; a first end of the folded sheet is sealed by a first end seam, and a second end of the folded sheet is sealed by a second end seam to form a space for items, wherein said space is defined by said sealed ends and a side wall formed of the folded sheet; an opening initiation point in one of the end seams, said initiation point configured to provide a point for initiating tearing of the flexible film material to form an opening; a tear control element configured to guide tearing initiated from the initiation point along a longitudinal direction, from the first end seam to the second end seam and across the sidewall, upon applying a tearing force.
PACKAGING CONTAINER MADE OF A PLASTIC FILM IN THE FORM OF A SACK OR BAG, AND FILM TUBE FOR PRODUCING SUCH A PACKAGING CONTAINER
A packaging container made of a plastic film. The packaging container includes a receptacle space for goods arranged between a front wall and a rear wall, an upper and a lower traverse seam which closes the packaging container on an upper and a lower end, respectively, connecting seams running between the upper and lower traverse seams, a film strip fastened to an internal side of the front wall via the connecting seams, a longitudinal channel formed by the film strip, the front wall and the connecting seams, and an engagement element arranged in the longitudinal channel. The engagement element is arranged transversely to a longitudinal extent of the longitudinal channel, and in a cross section above the film strip, to permit an engagement in the longitudinal extent of the longitudinal channel between the front wall and the film strip. The engagement element forms a handle with the front wall.
FLEXIBLE ENCLOSURE HAVING A SEAL AND METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR MAKING THE SAME
Flexible enclosure includes a front wall and a back wall that oppose each other and a side wall that joins the front and back walls. The front wall, the back wall, and the side wall are discrete sections. The front wall and the back wall are attached to opposite edges of the side wall. The side wall is configured to have a slit between top and bottom wall portions of the side wall. The flexible enclosure also includes a resealer extending between the front and back walls along the bottom wall portion of the side wall. The bottom wall portion is separable from the top wall portion along the slit. The bottom wall portion is configured to flex outwardly and away from the top wall portion and form a spout of the flexible enclosure. The resealer is configured to close the spout.

A flexible reclosable package includes a first side panel and a second side panel. The first panel defines a right side edge portion, a left side edge portion, a bottom edge portion, and a pleated portion. The second panel defines a right side edge portion, a left side edge portion, a bottom edge portion, and a hooded portion. A first seam joins the right side edge portion of the first panel with the right side edge portion of the second panel. A second seam joins the left side edge portion of the first panel with the left side edge portion of the second panel. A third seam joins the bottom edge portion of the first panel with the bottom edge portion of the second panel. A first line of weakness is provided in the pleated portion.
