A package system is provided that includes a main body having a bilayer thermoplastic laminated film structure including a first layer and a second layer with an adhesive layer disposed between the first layer and the second layer. The main body can further include an array of holes and a removable panel disposed on the array of holes. The removable panel can include a plurality of cutouts, where each one of the cutouts corresponds to one of the holes. The removable panel can be configured to be selectively pulled off the main body.

A beverage capsule includes a body defining an interior space having an opening. A filter is disposed in the interior space to define an ingredients chamber for containing and filtering ingredients for preparing a desired beverage product. The filter is formed of a hydrophobic and non-absorbent polymer material having a basis weight of less than 40 gsm, wherein said filter has a tensile strength of less than 100 N/5 cm in the Machine Direction (MD) and 70 N/5 cm or less in the Cross Direction (CD). The ingredients are disposed in the ingredients chamber for preparing the desired beverage product. A cover is disposed on the body to close the opening.

A packaging apparatus and a method of manufacturing the same for food products that includes two layers of material with the food product arrangeable in a container base through an opening in one of the layers and sealed within the container base by the other layer.

The present subject matter relates to a label lid for sealing an opening in a packaging container. The label comprises a facestock layer, a removable adhesive layer, a heat-seal layer, and an optional release coating, wherein the removable adhesive layer does not include a release liner. The removable adhesive layer can be coated on the heat-seal layer or the facestock layer. Optionally, a release coating can be applied to the heat-seal layer or the facestock layer. The composition of the layers used in specific arrangements provides unique performance characteristics for the label for improved sealing, reclosure, and matrix stripping properties.

A resealable package assembly is described. The package assembly includes a selectively positionable flap that covers an aperture or enables access through the aperture into the package. The flap and package include provisions for releasably engaging the flap to the package to seal the interior of the package. Provisions for grasping the tab and indicating whether tampering has occurred are also described.

A reclosable bag includes: first and second plies extending from a first side to a second side and from atop bottom to a top; a seal joining the first and second plies arranged near the bottom of the bag; a reclosing material disposed on an interior surface of one of the first and second plies; a release material disposed between the reclosing material and the other of the first and second plies; and a bag opening zone extending between the top and the bottom.

Disclosed are packages for dispensing a product, the package including: a first layer; a second layer; a tab seal zone in which the first layer is joined to the second layer by a seal, the tab seal zone defining a first tab and a second tab; a first perforation in the first layer and a second perforation in the second layer, the first perforation defining a tear path in the first layer and the second perforation defining a tear path in the second layer, wherein at least one of the first and second perforations at least partially defines a boundary separating the first tab and the second tab; and a fold guide located in the tab seal zone, the fold guide indicating a fold line that intersects the first perforation and the second perforation across the boundary separating the first tab and the second tab.

The invention comprises, in an embodiment, a resealable packaging structure comprising a container having a bottom and at least one sidewall extending upwardly therefrom, wherein the sidewall terminates in a flange. A flexible resealable lid is sealed to the flange. The lid comprises a polyethylene terephthalate layer disposed adjacent the flange, a pressure sensitive adhesive layer disposed adjacent the polyethylene terephthalate layer, and an oriented polypropylene layer disposed adjacent the pressure sensitive adhesive layer. The polyethylene terephthalate layer comprises a laser scored line which penetrates through the thickness of the inner layer but not through the outer layer and defines an opening portion that can be lifted out of the plane of the inner layer, thereby creating an opening through the lid defined by the laser score line.
