Heat sealable food packing films, methods for the production thereof, and food packages comprising heat sealable food packaging films
Heat sealable food packaging films, methods for the production thereof, and food packages comprising heat sealable food packaging films are provided. The heat sealable food packaging film includes a humidity-dependent permeable film having a moisture vapor transmission rate that increases with an increase in relative humidity (RH). An outer coating comprises a coating material on at least one surface of the humidity-dependent permeable film. The coating material is selected from a nanoclay dispersed in a poly-vinylidene chloride (PVdC) polymer or a stretchable urethane polymer, a stretchable acrylic polymer, or a combination of stretchable urethane polymer and stretchable acrylic polymer. The coating material may further comprise an anti-blocking agent. The heat sealable food packaging film is biaxially oriented.
SWIMMING GOGGLES STORAGE ASSEMBLY
A swimming goggles storage assembly for storing and drying swimming goggles includes a canister that has a plurality of drain holes therein to drain a fluid from the canister. A lid is removably positioned on the canister to close the canister. The lid has a plurality of drain apertures therein to pass the fluid therethrough when the lid is positioned on the canister. A pair of swimming goggles is provided and the swimming goggles are inserted into the canister after the swimming goggles are worn in water for storage. The drain holes in the canister and the drain apertures in the lid facilitate the swimming goggles to dry in the canister.
INSULATING INSERT FOR A PERSONAL AMBIENT AIR TEMPERATURE MODIFICATION DEVICE
An insulating insert that is configured to be removably attached as an insert into a lid for a container. The insulating insert of the present invention also provides an air channel to allow an internal airflow mechanism to pull air through and exhaust out the lid in which the insulating insert resides. An air filter can be provided in conjunction with the insulating insert.
VENTILATED CONTAINER FOR PRODUCE
A ventilated container for produce includes a bottom, sidewalls extending upwardly from the bottom, and a rim having a flattened top surface. The sidewalls include at least one ventilation opening located proximate the rim of the container thereby permitting the rim of the container to be generally flat and uninterrupted. The location of ventilation opening(s) proximate the rim of the container allows the flow of rising ethylene gas within the container to exit near the top of the container improving ventilation within the container. A plastic film can be applied over the top of the container and is adhered to the container with an adhesive to form a secure and rigid seal between the film and the container. The flattened surface of the rim improves the adherence between a film and the container to enclose and seal the container, aids the rigidity of the container, and lessens the likelihood of the edges of the rim being bent or folded when pressure is exerted to protect produce provided within the container. Moreover, an aperture on the bottom of the container provides drainage of liquid from the container and allow air to flow.
Gas discharge valve for packaging material
Proposed is a gas discharge valve for a packaging material, the gas discharge valve being attached on an upper surface of a packing material in a manner that covers a through-hole formed in one side of the packing material and being configured to discharge to the outside thereof only gas within the packing material, the gas discharge valve including: a high-adhesiveness layer attached to an external surface of the packing material and adhered to a portion of the external surface in the vicinity of the through-hole; and a low-adhesiveness layer formed inside the high-adhesiveness layer and adhered to cover a top opening of the through-hole, where, when gas occurs within the packing material, the low-adhesiveness layer is inflated by pressure, a portion thereof is raised, and the gas is discharged, and when the pressure is released, the low-adhesiveness layer seals the through-hole, thereby blocking introduction of outside air.
Environment-friendly packaging paper for food
The objective of the present invention is to provide a packaging paper for food which on the one hand offers a sufficiently high resistance against the penetration of grease, oil, and water and on the other hand can easily be recycled or biologically degraded.
HEAT TRANSFER SYSTEM FOR WAREHOUSED GOODS
Systems and methods for airflow management around palletized cases of goods in a warehouse storage facility are provided, in which airflow around each individual layer of cases is facilitated while airflow spillage around the sides, top or bottom of pallet assemblies is minimized or eliminated. One exemplary device for such airflow management includes palletized product spacers disposed between respective layers of vertically stacked cases, in which the product spacers facilitate a substantially unidirectional longitudinal airflow. Another exemplary airflow management device is a series of automatically adjustable air dams disposed at the tops of respective pallet assemblies which prevent air spillage and establish intermediate air manifold spaces. Yet another device is a lateral pallet spacer prevents direct abutment of the side surfaces of neighboring pallet assemblies and thereby ensures that the air manifold spaces are in fluid communication with the spacers of multiple pallet assemblies.
BOX FOR TRANSPORTING LIVE ANIMALS, PARTICULARLY OF THE TYPE OF LABORATORY MICE AND/OR RATS
A box for transporting live animals, particularly of the type of laboratory mice and/or rats, which comprises a base, four side walls and a lid, at least one of the side walls comprising at least one opening for ventilating the internal volume of the box, a protective mesh made of a material such as metal being associated with the at least one opening; the base and the four side walls are made of a material such as polypropylene.
Ventilated container apparatus
A container apparatus having at least one containment member is disclosed that may include a bottom and at least one sidewall, an interior and an open end. The container may also include a flange that extends around a free end of the at least one side wall, and a plurality of wall members (or castellations) connected to/formed with/that extend from the flange. The plurality of wall members may be separated by ventilation apertures, with the plurality of wall members and the ventilation apertures extending around the perimeter of the free end. A sealing material, such as a removable film, may extend over the open end to enclose the containment member.
Container for packaging units
The present disclosure describes a container that includes a body having a lower surface, an upper rim, and a plurality of side walls that extend between the lower surface and the upper rim, wherein the upper rim defines an opening to an interior space of the body, a flexible cover that covers the opening of the body and is bonded to the body along the upper rim, and gas-permeable material through which gas can enter and exit the interior space of the body. The upper rim of the body is spaced apart from any of the gas-permeable material, such that the cover can be peeled away from the upper rim to expose the opening while leaving the gas-permeable material intact.
