REED STORAGE APPARATUS FOR HUMIDITY CONTROL
An apparatus and method for storing reeds. The apparatus includes a tray having a first platform and a second platform opposite from the first platform where each platform includes a plurality of reed passages, an inner recess between the first and second platforms, and a plurality of ventilation apertures on the first and second platforms. The tray may be removably configured within an airtight container. A method for storing reeds includes positioning a humidity-control insert within an inner recess of a tray, having a first platform, a second platform opposite from the first platform, an inner recess between the first and second platforms, and a plurality of reed passages on the first and second platforms, wherein each of the plurality of reed passages may include ventilation apertures. The method further includes placing a reed within one of the reed passages and securing the reed with an elastic band.
TOTE LINER BASKET USED IN ACTIVELY COOLED TOTES
A tote liner basket used in actively cooled totes is provided. In some embodiments, a tote liner used in actively cooled totes includes: a bottom of the tote liner; two or more sides of the tote liner; and two or more openings for increased airflow. In this way, the use of the tote is made easier while maintaining or improving the airflow in the tote.
MODIFIED ATMOSPHERE PACKAGING WITH BASE-MOUNTED MICRO-PERMEABLE PATCH
A rigid or semi-rigid MAP container includes a raised cavity in its bottom surface, wherein a macroscopic hole penetrating the container bottom is covered by a semi-permeable patch so as to provide limited gas exchange between the container interior and the surrounding environment. The raised cavity extends to at least one edge of the bottom surface, so that gases can be exchanged with the cavity even when the container is placed on a flat surface. In embodiments, the sides are slanted outward, so that air passages accessible to the cavities are formed between adjacent containers in a stack. The container can be re-sealable, and can include an interior sealant layer. The patch can be naturally semi-permeable, microporous, or microperforated, and can be adhered to the container bottom by an adhesive applied about a perimeter thereof that does not overlap the hole.
MEAL-KIT PREPARATION AND SHIPPING SYSTEM
A meal-kit delivery package includes a meal-kit shipping container dimensioned to accommodate any number of meal-kit bags to be shipped to a customer. The meal-kit shipping container also accommodates at least one additional meal ingredient, and any number of shipping materials. For example, the shipping materials can include a liner, a cooling component such as, ice or a cold pack, a first cushioning layer such as, bubble wrap and/or chipboard, and a second cushioning layer. The shipping container may also include a lid or other sealing device to enclose the contents within the shipping container. Each of the meal-kit bags is constructed from a semi-rigid material to accommodate placement of the meal ingredients therein while maintaining a loading configuration where a first side surface and a second side surface of the meal-kit bag maintains a generally vertical orientation.
Inflatable packaging with adhesive seals
An inflatable packaging element is provided herein. The inflatable packaging element comprises first and second film plies sealed to each other by a seal to cooperatively form a flexible structure. The seal defines an inflation chamber between the first and second plies that is inflatable with and configured to contain a fluid. The seal is formed using an adhesive.
Venting Device for a Disposable Food Container
A venting device and method for the retention of food temperature and texture is disclosed. The venting device of the present invention is inserted through the top, outside surface of a food container sufficiently to allow the device to puncture the surface of the container and allow venting of the steam and moisture created from the hot food within the takeout food container.

SPORT KIT BOX FOR HANGING AND DRYING
It is often difficult to dry sports kits in a holder. Here, a portable sport kit box has an air circulation structure that assists in drying activewear or warming it before use. A false bottom distributes airflow in the box. Ducts are present in accessory holders. The tub walls have slots for holding the lid in a vertical plane to hang clothes on for initial draining. A drain plug drains water after washing activewear. A filter is mounted on a wall through which air enters or exits the box. The filter can be connected to an external fan powered by a vehicle or internal or external battery. A solar panel, internal heater or internal fan may be included.
Contaminant resistant product packaging
Embodiments are directed toward a product package filter assembly that prevents ambient contaminates from entering into the sealable product container. In some embodiments, the product package filter assembly includes an optional support element, a filter element, and a surface film element that are layered together with the filter element between the support element and the surface film element. The perimeters of the support element, the filter element, and the surface film element are sealably joined together. The product package filter assembly is then sealably joined over an opening of a product container. During heating of a product residing in the product container, gases generated in the product container vent out through the product package filter assembly, while the filter element prevents entry of contamination particles into the product container.
