BEVERAGE INGREDIENT POD
A beverage ingredient pod for releasing beverage ingredients into a bottle to create a mixed beverage includes a liquid-ingredient chamber, a solid-ingredient chamber, a frangible membrane between and separating the liquid-ingredient chamber and the solid-ingredient chamber, and a rigid piercer that extends to a point toward the frangible membrane. Upon a force applied to the beverage ingredient pod, a portion of the pod collapses and drives the rigid piercer through the frangible membrane. This mixes contents of the liquid-ingredient chamber with contents of the solid-ingredient chamber and releases the mixed contents from the beverage ingredient pod into a bottle below that is filled with a liquid, creating a mixed beverage.
Beverage container with ice storage feature
In its preferred embodiment, my invention provides a solution for a reusable product that provides the ability to conveniently, effectively and immediately cool a consumable liquid in a container regardless of where you are, without the delay involved by requiring to place any portion of the container into a refrigerator, to increase the time that a cooling agent's (ice) lowered temperature is preserved prior to exposure to the consumable liquid, to provide enhanced cooling impact through direct and maximum surface contact between the cooling agent and consumable liquid, to do so for any liquid the person desires to consume and that is not limited in its design/fit/configuration in order to accommodate a specific commercially available prepackaged container.
Connector for Transferring the Contents of a Container
Methods and devices for transferring materials between containers are discussed. One such connector includes: a base; a first elongate structure having first and second ends, the first elongate structure extending from a first side of the base at the first end to the second end distal the base, the second end forming a first opening sized and configured to receive a first container; a duct extending through the base and having a first tip skirted on one or more sides by the first elongate structure; a first guard positioned within the first elongate structure, wherein the first guard comprises a first surface, and the first surface is located further away from the base than the first tip. When the first container is moved into the first opening, the first surface moves toward the base, and the first tip enters the first container, creating a fluid path for the first container.
Dispensable containment vessel and dispensing system
A dispensing system provides for the delivery of a contained substance sealed in a Dispensable Containment Vessel (DCV) into a target container, which can contain another substance. The dispensing system includes a dispensing adaptor (Dispensing System) that couples the DCV to the target container so substances can be transferred between the containers without escaping or contacting the user. When the DCV is activated from a secure conformation into a dispensing conformation, the dispensing adaptor sealably engages the target container and portions of the dispensing adaptor place stress on a barrier, which frangibly tears along defined tearing paths to form vents or flaps that are forced apart against the dispensing adaptor, allowing the contents of the DCV to enter the target container. The dispensing conformation also facilitates the efficient mixture of substances and allows them to travel between the containers to flush residual DCV contents into the target container.
DUAL CHAMBER STORAGE DEVICE
A dual chamber storage device includes a first chamber having a base and a hollow body for storing a first material. A second chamber within the hollow body of the first chamber has a base, a hollow body for storing a second material, and a neck portion. A dispenser housed within the second chamber has a hollow body, a dispensing tip, and a cutting edge. A cap surrounds the end of the dispenser with the cutting edge, is rotatingly connectable with the second chamber neck portion, and is non-rotatingly connectable with the first end of the dispenser. When the cap is rotated relative to the second chamber neck portion, the second end of the dispenser moves toward the base of the second chamber and the cutting edge pierces the base of the second chamber thereby allowing the second material to enter the hollow body of the first chamber.
SUPPLEMENT CONTAINER AND METHOD OF USE FOR ANIMALS
An apparatus for use with animals can include a first container comprising a first end and a second end, wherein the first end comprises a first fastener located on a first surface of the first container and the second end comprises a second fastener positioned on a second surface of the first container, and wherein the first surface is different form the second surface; a first lid comprising a third end and a fourth end, wherein fourth end comprises a third fastener located on a surface of the first lid, wherein the first lid is configured to be coupled to the first end of the first container by coupling together the third fastener and the first fastener; and a second container including a fifth end and a sixth end, wherein the fifth end comprises a fourth fastener located on a third surface of the second container, wherein the sixth end comprises a fifth fastener located on a fourth surface of the second container, wherein the third surface is different from the fourth surface, and wherein the second container is configured to be coupled to the second end of the first container by coupling together the fourth fastener and the second fastener. Other embodiments are disclosed.
Capsule and plug for a concentrated refill capsule
A plug for use in a cap assembly of a refill capsule is disclosed. The plug (300) generally comprises a hollow tubular body (302) with an open proximal end that is surrounded by a first rim (304) that provides a proximal abutment surface for bearing against a frangible sealing component of a cap assembly. A tubular skirt wall (306) is arranged coaxially with respect to the tubular body, and extends around the skirt wall (306) to form a plug recess (308) between the skirt wall (306) and the tubular body (302). The skirt wall (306) extends from a skirt distal end at which the skirt wall (306) is connected to the tubular body (302), to a free proximal end. The free proximal end of the skirt comprises an outwardly extending flange (310) comprising a distal facing abutment surface (312) for abutting a rim (406) of a refillable vessel (400).
Flavoring dispenser for a beverage container
A flavor dispenser adapted to be attached to the top of a beverage container, for example a beer can, is provided. The flavor dispenser includes one or more easily fillable flavor containers, and passages that allow the one or more flavorings to be mixed with the beverage by the user and discarded with the beverage container.
Reagent component dispensing caps for reagent containers used in automated clinical analyzers
Described is an automated reagent dispensing cap and methods of use in an automated clinical analyzer for introducing one or more reagent components housed in the reagent dispensing cap into a container enclosing another reagent component with which it is combined to achieve a reagent useful for diagnostic testing.
Method for manufacturing a dispensing device for eye drops
A process for the production of a device for dispensing eye drops. The process includes the steps of providing a first container and a second container configured to be engaged in a fluid-tight manner, providing a spacer, introducing a water-based solution inside the first container, introducing a solution or dispersion comprising a drug inside the second container, arranging the spacer between the first and second containers, engaging in a fluid-tight manner the second container and the first container, and freeze-drying the solution or dispersion comprising the drug.
