Process for maintaining freshness of vegetable pieces

A packaged food product and methods of making and using it. In some embodiments. The packaged food product may comprise a cup containing multiple ingredients in sealed pouches suitable for use in making an omelet or other egg-based entr?es, with the cup being suitable for microwave cooking of an egg-based entr?e. The ingredients may include vegetable components that offer organoleptic properties similar to those of fresh vegetables after an extended period of time. Ideally, time required for processing, shipment, storage, etc., which may be, e.g., several weeks, may pass without unacceptable degradation of taste, texture, mouth feel, flavor, aroma, color, nutritional content or other important qualities. In some embodiments, the ingredients may also include additional components, such as, for example, one or more meats, and/or one or more varieties of cheese.

STACKABLE CONTAINER SYSTEM FOR STORING AND REHEATING FOOD SLICE
20240059455 · 2024-02-22 ·

This disclosure describes systems, methods, and apparatus for stackable food storage and reheating. The stackable food container can be three-sided, and/or triangular, and can include a lid with a viewing window, a thermally conductive tray, and optionally one or more stacking inserts therebetween. The thermally conductive tray can be configured to absorb large amounts of thermal energy during a pre-heating stage, and to then efficiently transfer much of that energy to a bottom or crust of the food item during a re-heating stage thereby enabling a Maillard effect not possible with existing food containers.

VENTING SYSTEM FOR OVENABLE CONTAINERS

The invention comprises an ovenable packaging structure having an integral one-way valve. The laminate structure comprises an outer layer having a cut line which defines a flap that is separable from the outer layer, wherein the outer layer is adhered to an inner layer having a cut line which is offset from the outer cut line and defines a portion that is separable from the inner layer along the inner cut line and defines an opening into the packaging structure. The adhesive between the layers comprises, in an embodiment, a channel of pressure sensitive adhesive which surrounds both the outer cut line and the inner cut line, wherein the channel of pressure sensitive adhesive defines the perimeter of at least one adhesive-free valve chamber within said channel. The valve chamber comprises at least a portion of the outer cut line and the inner cut line.

Modular Meal System and Method of Making a Modular Meal System

An example modular meal system includes two or more modular meal components. Example modular meal components include a tray, a meal component disposed within the tray, and a sauce component disposed within the tray. The meal component is selected from a protein component, a starch component, a vegetable component, an appetizer component, and a dessert component. Each modular meal component is configured and/or formulated to reach at least 165 F. or at least 167 F. when heated from frozen for a heating time period within the range of from about 20 minutes to about 60 minutes and at a heating temperature within the range of about 350 F. to about 450 F.

A container structure for sealing and keeping food fresh, which can be repacked after unpacking. The container structure has a container body and a covering film; the container body has a housing chamber, a first abutting face, a concave groove portion, a second abutting face and a preset break line; the covering film can seal the housing chamber and bond with the first and second abutting face, specifically, it is bonded to the first abutting face through the micro sealing portion, so that the bonding between the covering film and the first abutting face is weaker than the bonding between the second abutting face; To open the covering film, the user needs to apply a force upon the external edge of the top end of the container body, to break the preset break line, and to separate the covering film from the first abutting face, so as to form a separated and independent frame.
