TRANSPORT PLATFORM ASSEMBLY AND METHOD
A transport platform assembly for loading, conveying and storing loads, the transport platform assembly comprising: a load receiving platform to receive a load thereon, a generally rectangular structural frame configured to support the load receiving platform and comprising frame members defining sides of the structural frame, and corner portions each comprising a corner fitting for permitting the transport platform assembly to be secured onto a receiving arrangement associated with a transport vehicle.
Quasi-cylindrical cargo container and construction
A quasi-cylindrical cargo container is formed of a plurality of rigid, curved panels together forming first and second semi-cylindrical shells, and a plurality of rigid, flat extension panels bridging the first and second semi-cylindrical shells. A method of manufacturing the container includes forming the first and second semi-cylindrical shell from the curved panels, forming the quasi-cylindrical shell from the first and second semi-cylindrical shells and the flat extension panels, forming collars conformably encompassing the quasi-cylindrical shell, constricting the collars to compress joints formed at abutting edges of pairs of adjacent panels, rolling the shell and collars sequentially to bring the joints to a lower position, welding inside seams of the joints when at the lower position, removing the collars, rolling the shell sequentially to bring the joints to an upper position, and welding outside seams of the joints when at the upper position.
Slip linkages for retractable container covers
Implementations of slip linkages are shown and described, including two-part and three-part implementations. Implementations of these linkages provide connections between elements with at least one translation degree of freedom, sometimes referred to as a prismatic joint or slider or telescopic joint. Such implementations may be utilized in connection with covers for roll-off containers or dumpsters, such as retractable container covers.
Toolless crate assembly with interchangeable cartridge
A crate assembly includes a crate having a base and an interchangeable cartridge supported by the base. The interchangeable cartridge is insertable and removable from the base of the crate. The interchangeable cartridge includes a cartridge base and a well. The well is formed by a floater base, side rails, a back board, and a front board. Energy damping components are selected to support a desired load and are disposed between the cartridge base and the floater base thereby providing cushioning to a load carried in the crate. Brace brackets attach to ends of the side rails. After loading a server rack, openings on the front board slide over end bolts of the brace brackets thereby providing toolless securement of the load within the well. Worn cartridges are replaced with new cartridges thereby extending crate life and cartridges are customizable depending on application to support different load dimensions or weights.
Shipping container having fiberglass frame
A fiberglass frame for a shipping container supports dunnage or other support members for separating parts. The fiberglass frame comprises four hollow vertical edge members made of fiberglass, each extending between corner assemblies. The fiberglass frame further comprises a roof and a base each made of hollow fiberglass members. Each hollow fiberglass member extends between two corner assemblies. The corner assemblies are also made of fiberglass. The inherent lack of electrical conductivity in the frame prevents sensitive parts shipped in the dunnage or other support members from being damaged or compromised.
