End-closure for a flexible tank

A flexible tank has one or more inner layers and one or more outer layers enclosing the inner layers. It has an improved structure to prevent leakage and rupture when making a long multi-modal shipment of large quantities of a liquid, including when the flexible tank is not supported by the end or side walls of a shipping container.

Fixing clamp for discharge outlet of intermediate bulk container

A fixing clamp (2) for discharge outlet of intermediate bulk containers is disclosed. The discharge outlet (1) comprises a flange edge (3), a discharge connecting port (5) and a discharge outlet clamping part (4). The discharge outlet clamping part (4) is a polygonal structure. The fixing clamp (2) comprises a fixing clamp body, a clamping portion (8), elastic guiding ribs (7) and anti-release portion (9). A passage for accommodating the discharge outlet clamping part (4) is formed in the middle part of the fixing clamp body. The clamping portion (8) is used for clamping the side surface of the discharge outlet clamping part (4) when the fixing clamp (2) and the discharge outlet (1) have been assembled. The elastic guiding ribs (7) will be squeezed by the side surface of the discharge outlet clamping part (4) to deform When the leading-in surfaces of the elastic guiding ribs (7) contact with the side surface of the discharge outlet clamping part (4). The elastic guiding ribs (7) restore elastically and the anti-release portion (9) are engaged with the side surface of the discharge outlet clamping part (4) to prevent the fixing clamp (2) from being separated front the discharge outlet (1) after the fixing clamp (2) and the discharge outlet (1) have been assembled. The fixing clamp (2) can be transversely pushed in to be assembled with the discharge outlet (1). The fixing clamp has low requirements for assembly accuracy, and is favorable for saving cost and increasing efficiency.

Systems and methods are provided for safely and efficiently transporting granular material. In one embodiment, a container for granular material is provided. The container can have a top plate and a bottom plate that are coupled to one another via one or more high-strength fabric sleeves. The bottom plate can include a discharge valve for discharging the granular material in the container. The container can also include a discharge bladder that, when inflated, biases granular material within the container toward the discharge valve. The container can also include at least one barrier positioned proximate the discharge valve such that the barrier prevents at least a portion of the discharge bladder from entering the discharge valve. The barrier can allow sand or other granular material to pass through the barrier and exit through the discharge valve.

Reusable, flexible, lightweight, low cost flexible intermediate bulk containers (FIBCs) for the delivery of granular proppant material for fracing that will allow the transport of higher weights of proppant, such as sand, per truck load. The invention includes a container made of a high strength, flexible material with a top opening for loading and deploying the proppant. The container can be lifted and deployed with a fork truck or crane. Alternatively, proprietary deployment systems, such as a conveyor system, can be used to quickly and efficiently deploy the proppant from the container at a desired site.

Method of fabrication of collapsible storage tank

In one embodiment, a collapsible, flexible storage tank is provided that is capable of holding a liquid material. The tank includes a sheet of flexible, moisture impervious side wall material; at least one opening for receiving a fitting to fill and drain the tank; joining seams wherein edges of the sheet are joined, the seams extending about the tank in a spiral orientation; and closing seams wherein the side ends of the pillow tank are sealed. In another aspect, a collapsible, flexible storage tank is capable of holding a liquid. The tank includes a sheet of flexible side wall material; at least one opening for receiving a fitting to fill and drain the tank; and butt seams wherein edges of the flexible sheet are joined together in the same plane in a butt joint configuration using an overlapping piece of flexible, moisture impervious sealed material over the top thereof.

End-Closure for a Flexible Tank

A flexible tank has an inner tank and at least one end closure with alternating interlaced hollow loops from two separate exterior layers. A nylon rope or similar securing element is passed through the hollow loops to use the exterior layers in an end closure to constrain the inner tank. An end flap may be welded to an exterior layer and positioned between the inner tank and the end closure. The hollow loops may be formed by folding over the exterior layers and cutting out complementary portions so the loops are in an alternating interlaced pattern.

Inflatable containment tank

A rapid deployment containment tank includes an inflatable container and a self-contained compressed gas source. The container defines a liquid chamber and an open top through which a liquid passes into the liquid chamber. The container is shiftable between a deflated configuration and an inflated configuration. The container includes a flexible base wall and a flexible sidewall cooperating to define the liquid chamber. The sidewall projects from the base wall along an interface and includes an air chamber. The air chamber includes a plurality of tubular columns spaced apart along the interface. The compressed gas source is coupled to the container and is fluidly connected to the air chamber to supply a compressed gas for inflating the container. The tubular columns are fillable with the compressed gas to cause the sidewall to lift upwardly from the base wall, as the container shifts from the deflated configuration to the inflated configuration.
