METALLIC CAN AND ASSOCIATED CAN LID
A can lid that comprises an opening region provided in the material of the lid surface and comprises a two-armed lever member that is intended to open this opening region and that is connected to the lid material, wherein this arrangement is characterized in that the opening region configured as a tongue tab is delineated from the lid surface by a tear line and the tongue tab base connected to the lid surface forms a pivot bearing that becomes effective during the opening procedure; in that the lower side of the lid is coated with a plastic material in a firmly adhering manner, and this coating of the tear line that covers the tear line is weakened in an adjacent manner; and in that the container part and the can lid at least substantially comprise the same aluminum alloy.
Container with fold-out opening
Container with fold-out opening, resulting from the suitable bending and folding of a laminar body that has bending lines that define four rectangular walls, which have a common upper flap and another, common lower flap with bending lines; the upper flap has two folding lines that continue two transverse bending lines defining a wall that is in a central position; said folding lines defining three rectangular portions of the upper flap; the central portion having the same axis of symmetry as the central wall; each of the portions is provided with additions opposite the contact thereof with the walls; the addition having a tear line that divides the addition into two dividing parts; the portion having a slot and the addition having a tab in the dividing part thereof and which can be engaged and inserted into the slot.
Container construction for powdered material
A packaging for a powdered material includes a tub for receiving the material, the tub having a base and a peripheral wall with a top edge; an outer sleeve around at least the peripheral wall of the tub, thereby supporting the tub; a removable membrane for separating the powdered material in the tub from the environment; and a lid assembly having a peripheral rim for connection over the top edge of the peripheral wall of the tub and defining a wide access opening and a lid, hingedly attached to the rim for reclosing the access opening. A method of manufacturing such a package for a powdered material includes sliding the tub in the sleeve, such that at least the peripheral wall of the tub is enclosed by the sleeve, whereby sleeve supports the tub and the tub and sleeve form a container for the powdered material.
Scented attachment for containers
Aspects of the disclosure include an attachment for providing a scent to a container. The scented attachment may be configured for being associated with a container, such as a drink or a food storage container. In one instance, the attachment is of a size or shape so as to fit around a circumference of the container. In another instance, the attachment may be configured for being associated to the container with a suitable attachment mechanism. For instance, the attachment may include a substrate having a first surface comprising an attachment mechanism for associating the scented attachment to the container; and a second surface comprising a scent. Systems including a scented attachment and a container, including their methods of use, are also provided.
Membrane Lid With Integrated Peelable Portion
The present invention relates to a flexible membrane lid for a container comprising a top paper layer which is perforated to form a perimeter of at least one peelable portion and a bottom film layer. In some embodiments, the bottom film layer is partially adhered to the top paper layer, wherein the layers are not adhered within the perimeter of the peelable portion. In other embodiments, the layers are adhered with a pressure sensitive adhesive within the perimeter of the peelable portion and with a permanent adhesive in the remainder of the area between the top paper layer and bottom film layer. In other embodiments, the invention relates to a flexible membrane lid for a container comprising a top paper layer comprising a pull tab and a bottom film layer which is removably adhered to the top paper layer, wherein bottom film layer comprises a separate pull tab.
Container seal
A container seal includes a top layer having an opening tab and a bottom layer thermally bonded to aluminum foil and a container. The top layer includes: first and second partial opening tabs; first and second opening guide-separating bands connected to the first and second partial opening tabs and extending along an inner edge of a container entrance so that the top layer and the bottom layer can be open along the inner edge of the container entrance when the first and second opening tabs are pulled; and a ring-shaped thermal bonding layer spaced from the first and second opening guide-separating bands by first and second separating lines and being in contact with a lip of the container outside the first and second opening guide-separating bands.
Can lid
A reclosable can lid is described that has a collar part and a lid receiving part composed of plastic that can be coupled to one another via a snap-in latching connection, wherein a tear line closed in itself is either partly perforated or is formed as a toothed separating line and the leak-tightness is ensured by a sealing film provided at the inner side of the lid cover.
Carbonated Beverage Closure
A threaded closure comprises a vent assembly that can be actuated to release pressure from a container on which the closure is located. The vent assembly is made from a flexible material that allows a vent to be uncovered by tearing the material. In one embodiment, the vent assembly allows pressure to be released form a container prior to removal of the closure.
Necked beverage can having a seamed-on end
A beverage can for carbonated soft drinks, beer, and other pressurized uses includes a drawn and ironed can body, a highly necked portion, and an relatively small end that is attached to the can body by a double seam.
Inner Seal With A Sub Tab Layer
A pull-tab sealing member for a container containing an upper laminate forming a pull-tab bonded to a lower laminate capable of being heat sealed to a container's mouth or opening. The upper laminate defines the pull tab wholly within a perimeter or circumference of the seal. The sealing member further includes a sub tab layer or member under the gripping tab for concentric structural support.
