10407224 · 2019-09-10 · ·

A container closure device includes a closure unit (10) with a closure part (40) for opening and re-closing a container opening (23) and an operating device (50) with an operating part (60) for actuating the closure part, wherein the operating part is rotatably disposed on the closure part and can be rotated from a locked position into an unlocked position. One such operating part has a first and a second locking portion (61, 62), which are configured in such a way that, in the locked position, the two locking portions extend beyond the container opening up to an opening limiting region (24) delimiting the container opening, and that, in the unlocked position, at least one of the two locking portions does not extend beyond the container opening up to the opening limiting region delimiting the container opening.

CAN PUNCTURING DEVICE AND METHOD
20190225472 · 2019-07-25 ·

A device for puncturing a metal can having a cylindrical sidewall and a bottom portion with an annular concave central portion terminating in an annular base portion. The base has an annular inclined connecting wall portion extending outward from the annular base portion to the sidewall. The device includes a frame with vertical walls extending above a supporting surface to a height at least equal to the height of the metal can, and an arm rotatably attached to the walls. The arm has two or more puncturing elements extending downward when the arm is in a puncturing position in which the arm extends laterally. The puncturing elements are configured so the can is positionable upside-down on a supporting surface so that when the arm is rotated into the puncturing position, the first puncturing element punctures the connecting wall and the second puncturing element punctures the concave central portion.

CAN LID

A can lid that enables a tab to be easily pulled up. A tab has a leading end positioned inside a predetermined opening area bordered by a score and a rear end positioned on an opposite side to the leading end relative to a portion where the tab is fixed to a lid body, and a sliding member is provided which is configured to slide in a state where a part thereof penetrates into a gap between the lid body and the tab, the sliding member having an insertion section which is configured to move the rear end of the tab in a direction away from a surface of the lid body when the sliding member is caused to slide from an initial position.

CLOSURE ASSEMBLY FOR A BEVERAGE CONTAINER AND METHOD FOR REPEATABLY CLOSING A BEVERAGE CONTAINER WITH A CLOSURE ASSEMBLY
20240190609 · 2024-06-13 ·

The invention relates to a closure assembly (1) for a beverage container (2), at least comprising a lid element (3) having an opening (4), and a closure element (5) for repeatably closing the opening (4), said closure element being disposed on the lid element (3); wherein the lid element (3) has an outer side (6) and an inner side (7), and the opening (4) has an opening edge (8) and an opening plane (9) formed by the opening edge (8); wherein the closure element (5) has at least one base part (10), a tab (11) and a cover (12); wherein the base part (10) comprises a frame part (13) which is disposed on the opening edge (8) and has a window (14), the tab (11) being pivotably connected to the frame part (13) by means of a first axis of rotation (16); and wherein the cover (12) closes the window (14) in an initial position (16) of the closure arrangement (1) and is connected pivotably to the frame part (13) via a second axis of rotation (17) or via a hinge (33). The invention also relates to a method for repeatably closing an opening (4) of a beverage container (2) with a closure assembly (1).

A CONTAINER OPENING DEVICE, A CLOSURE ARRANGEMENT FOR A CONTAINER, AND A CONTAINER
20190144161 · 2019-05-16 ·

The invention relates generally to containers, particularly to cans (14), for example, for beverages, to a container opening device (9), a container (14), a closure arrangement (12) for a container (14), and a blank for a container opening device (9). The container (14) is typically sealable and has closure (16) attachable thereto to seal the container (14), wherein the closure (16) has a peripherally weakened zone (20), or a partly peripherally weakened zone (20). The container opening device (9) comprises an actuator tab (22) operatively attachable to the closure (16) adjacent the zone (20) such that actuation of the actuator tab (22) between first and second positions causes shearing or detachment of the zone (20) from its weakened periphery thereby to provide an opening to an interior of the container (14), in use; and a pull member (10) attached or attachable to the actuator tab (22) to facilitate actuation of the tab (22) between the first and second positions. It will be understood that the container (14) and closure arrangement (12) comprise the device.

PACKAGE FOR CONSUMER GOODS AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A TEAR-OPEN PACKAGE

The package includes a sheet material with a first end and a second end, the first end being connected to the second end to form a sealing flap, the sealing flap sealing the package along at least a transversal edge of the sheet material, longitudinal edges of the sheet material being connected to each other. The sealing flap defines an opening cut, the opening cut being arranged in a sealed portion of the package. A first part of the sheet material forms a first package face, the sealing flap being connected to the first package face.

Method of forming assembled package with first package face and second package face

The method including providing a sheet of material in the form of a strip, first folding the sheet of material onto itself to form a first package face and a second package face that oppose each other, a first end portion and a second end portion of the sheet of material extending from the first package face, sealing the sheet of material along opposed longitudinal edges of the sheet of material, fixing the first end portion and the second end portion to each other to form a sealing flap, first defining an opening cut in the sealing flap, the opening cut being defined by both the first end portion and the second end portion, and connecting the sealing flap to the first package face to form the assembled package, the opening cut not being visible or directly accessible on the assembled package.

METAL END CLOSURE WITH AN EXTENDED SCORE WHICH IS OPENED WITH A SECONDARY TOOL
20180257812 · 2018-09-13 ·

A metallic container end closure is provided that generally comprises a primary pour opening and an extended or secondary score which is opened with a secondary tool to form a secondary pour opening. The fact that a secondary tool is required allows the secondary score to be shallower, and thus more secure than deeper scores that are openable by finger pressure alone. Once the secondary tool is used to fracture the secondary score, a secondary pour opening is produced adjacent to the primary pour opening to form a larger opening. A user may insert materials such as ice or oranges through the enlarged pour opening.
