Refuse container lid opening device having pushup actuator
A refuse container lid opening device includes a lid hingedly attached to a container body for covering the container body's top opening. The lid when closed is flush with or recessed below the top edge of a railing extending around the top rim of the container body. An actuator retained in a sleeve on the outer surface of the container body is movable using a first hand between a rest position and an upraised position in which it is received in a slot in the top rim of the container body and engaged with the lid, further upward movement of the actuator opening the lid to form a manually accessible gap between the lid and the top rim to allow the lid to be fully opened using a second hand.
Extender for receptacle and method thereof
An extender for a receptacle to increase a storage capacity of a typical garbage receptacle is provided. The extender may be inserted into a receptacle, or may be placed on the receptacle. A method for collecting garbage is also provided, including providing a receptacle for storing waste materials, the receptacle configured to be lifted and inverted by a mechanical means of a garbage collection vehicle to empty the waste materials, providing an extender for use with the receptacle, the extender cooperating with the receptacle to increase a storage capacity of the provided receptacle, wherein the extender is disposable along with the waste materials, and at the same time, collecting the waste materials and the extender using the mechanical means of the garbage collection means.
System And Method For Collecting Medical Waste That Monitors The Waste For Objects That May Have Been Inadvertently Discarded
A mobile cart that holds a bag for receiving solid waste generated during a medical or surgical procedure. The cart includes a sensor that monitors whether or not an object containing metal is placed in the bag. A processor monitors the signal output by the sensor. If the sensor signal indicates that an object with a minimal amount of metal is placed in the bag, the processor momentarily asserts an audible alarm and continuously asserts a light alarm. The light alarm remains asserted until turned off. If, while the light alarm is on, the sensor signal indicates a second object with the minimal amount of waste is placed in the container, the processor again momentarily asserts the audible alarm. This provides notice that it may be necessary to investigate the contents of the bag to determine if not one but two or more objects were inadvertently discarded.
Trolley for Collecting Waste Products in a Vehicle, Cabin Monument for a Vehicle, Fluid Receiving Container and Vehicle
A trolley for collecting waste products in a vehicle includes: a trolley housing with an upper housing opening to a housing interior of the trolley housing and a waste enclosure suspended in the housing interior and provided with an upper enclosure opening, and a fluid receiving container with an upper container opening and arranged in or laterally on the trolley housing. The enclosure opening and the housing opening are arranged relative to one another in such a way that waste products can be introduced through the housing opening and the enclosure opening. The fluid receiving container includes a container suction port, by which a fluidic connection can be produced to extract a fluid from the bottom of an interior of the fluid receiving container. A cabin monument with such a fluid receiving container, as well as to a system with the trolley and the cabin monument are also described.
REPLACEMENT BOTTOM FOR CONTAINER
A container and methods for construction are disclosed herein for a container having a replaceable bottom pan. An adapter is affixed to the lower edge the container and a replaceable bottom pan is removably affixed to the adapter.
WHEEL ASSEMBLIES
A hub assembly includes a retainer housing, a retaining member, a biasing element, and an occlusion. The retainer housing includes a wheel mounting sleeve and a pin sleeve. The wheel mounting sleeve includes an axle bore configured to receive an axle. The pin sleeve has a first end and a second end. The pin sleeve includes a conduit between the first end and the second end. The first end is in fluid communication with the axle bore. The retaining member and the biasing element are in the conduit. The retaining member is configured to engage a groove in an axle. The biasing element is configured to bias the retaining member towards the axle bore. The occlusion is proximate to the second end of the pin sleeve. The occlusion is configured to inhibit the retaining member from exiting the conduit at least prior to coupling the hub assembly to a wheel.
LIFTER-COMPATIBLE TELESCOPING BIN
Disclosed herein is a bin that has a first portion configured to hold at least one item therein and an adjustable second portion. The adjustable second portion is configured to couple with the first portion and slide relative to the first portion between a collapsed position and an expanded position. The collapsed position provides a minimum combined height for the first portion and the adjustable second portion in which the adjustable second portion encapsulates the first portion in order for the bin to be placed inside a receptacle. The expanded position provides a maximum combined height for the first portion and the adjustable second portion in order for the bin to interface with a mechanical device for disposing of the at least one item. The bin also includes one or more holding mechanisms for securing the bin in at least one of the collapsed and expanded positions.
CONTAINER FOR THE COLLECTION OF URBAN WASTE
A container for the collection of urban waste, constituted by an aluminium supporting structure which houses and protects a cardboard container, comprising: a supporting structure comprised of an external enveloping skeleton which is U-shaped when viewed from the side, with a removable upper hoop which closes the upper part of the envelope; a removable lid which folds with regard to the hoop which closes the skeleton assembly; a pedal located at the lower part and which operates the folding lid; and a tray which collects the leachates coming from a cardboard container, and which is a removable tray located upon the base; and a container, formed by folding a sheet of cardboard, resting upon the tray of the structure, and where the upper part of the container is held closed by the upper hoop of the structure.
REFUSE CONTAINER LID OPENING DEVICE HAVING DROP-DOWN TONGUE
A refuse container lid opening device includes a lid hingedly attached to a container body for covering the container body's top opening. The lid is free of grabbable handles or protuberances but an elongated tongue descending from its underside is received in a slot in the top rim of the container body and is accessible outward of the container body. Upward movement of the tongue when the lid is closed raises the lid above the top rim of the container body to form a manually accessible gap in which a hand can be inserted to fully open the lid.
Garbage Receptacle Assembly
A garbage receptacle assembly includes a garbage can that has an open top end for having a garbage bag positioned therein. The garbage can has a front entry integrated therein to facilitate the garbage bag to be removed through the front entry without requiring the garbage bag to be lifted out of the garbage can. A door is hingedly coupled to the garbage can to close the front entry when the door is in a closed position. A plurality of clips is each integrated into the garbage can. The garbage bag can be suspended from the clips for retaining the garbage bag in an open position to enhance placing garbage in the garbage bag.
