Spinning reel
A spinning reel for casting fishing line includes a handle rotatably, a spool shaft, a spool, a rotor and a drainage hole. The spool shaft moves back and forth in accordance with rotation of the handle. The spool includes a bobbin trunk and a skirt portion in a rear portion of the bobbin trunk and has a larger diameter than the external diameter of the bobbin trunk. The rotor rotates has a wall portion with a smaller diameter than an external diameter of the skirt portion and through which the spool shaft penetrates, the rotor further including a first cylindrical portion protruding from the wall portion and at least part of which overlaps the skirt portion, and a second cylindrical portion protruding from the wall portion. The drainage hole passes from an interior to an exterior of the first cylindrical portion.
Spinning type fishing reel with bi-directionally rotating rotor with drag control to prevent line twist
A fishing spinning reel that eliminates problems associated with line twist by providing a rotor adapted for both forward and reverse rotation wherein a drag assembly applies drag to the rotor to prevent the rotor from imparting twist on the line when in the winding mode. By enabling the rotor to rotate in a reverse direction with the application of drag the present invention prevents line twist when fighting a fish by allowing the rotor to rotate in a reverse direction and/or to remain stationary as the handle is cranked thereby preventing the rotor from imparting twist on the line.
LINE ROLLER
A line roller for guiding fishing line to a spool of a spinning reel for fishing, includes a cylindrical guide member having a guide surface to guide the fishing line on an outer periphery of the spool, a bearing rotatably supporting an inner circumferential surface of the guide member, a support member supporting an inner circumferential surface of the bearing in a radial direction, a collar abutting an axial side surface of the bearing and fixing the axial position thereof, a waterproof member interposed between the collar and the support member at a contacting surface over the circumference around an axis of rotation of the guide member, and a groove disposed in the collar or the support member at the contacting surface over the entire circumference around the axis of rotation, and the waterproof member being disposed in the groove.
Bow fishing reel with reduced friction payout
A reel suitable for bow fishing and the like provides a cowling covering a reel with a wide opening to reduce frictional restraint on high-speed paying out of the line with the flight of the arrow. An optional guide arm may be used to minimize line diversion and hence friction during line payout while absorbing forces when the line is retracted permitting use of a lighter cowling design without loss of strength. A high torque bevel gear transmission and safety lighting is further provided.
Rotatable line transfer mechanism for a fishing reel
A rotatable line transfer mechanism for a fishing reel includes a substantially hemispherical cap (SHC) and a securing mechanism. The SHC includes an outwardly curved hemispherical upper section (OCHUS) and a wall extending vertically downwards from a boundary of the OCHUS. The SHC includes a line flow slot extending from the wall to an apex of the OCHUS. The line flow slot receives and passes a fishing line from and to a spool. The securing mechanism is attachable to the SHC to rotatably secure the SHC to a fishing reel body. The rotatable line transfer mechanism is rotated about an axis of rotation of the spool in one direction to position the fishing line in a first end of the line flow slot during a retrieve mode, and in another direction to position the fishing line in a second end of the line flow slot during a cast mode.
LINE-WINDING DEVICE, FISHING REEL, AND WINCH
A line-winding device is a line-winding device for fishing capable of being fixed to a fishing rod, the line-winding device including: a spool capable of winding a fishing line around a central axis substantially parallel to an extending direction of the fishing rod; a rotor including a guide part for guiding the fishing line and rotatable around the spool; an operating part for rotationally operating the guide part; and a switching part for switching availability of guiding by the guide part, and including: a support shaft portion that pivotally supports the spool rotatably and is rotatably supported with respect to a device main body; a restoration unit for applying a restoring force between the support shaft portion and the spool; and a detection unit for detecting an angular position of the support shaft portion.
Fishing line reel with rapid line payout
A reel for fishing line or the like provides for extremely rapid payout by releasing the line to unwind by sliding rapidly around a guide surrounding the line spool and by rotation of the line spool itself. A lever controls a line guide preventing sliding of the fishing line around the guide and providing controllable friction and locking of rotation of the line spool only when actuated by the user to permit retraction of the line or controlled tensioning of the line.
Spinning reel
A spinning reel includes, a spool, a spool shaft, a pinion gear, a tubular-shaped collar, a tubular-shaped nut, and an elastic member. The spool is configured to have a fishing line wound thereon when accompanied by rotation of a rotor. The pinion gear is disposed around the spool shaft and on which the rotor is non-rotatably mounted. The tubular-shaped collar is rotatably disposed on the spool shaft on an end side of the pinion gear in the axial direction of the pinion gear, and supports the spool shaft. The tubular-shaped nut is disposed to accommodate the collar and configured to screw onto the pinion gear. The elastic member is disposed between an outer peripheral surface of the collar and an inner peripheral surface of the nut.
