Conveyor system with automated carriers

A method of operating a conveyor system includes providing a fixed, non-powered first rail supporting first and second trolleys of a first carrier, at least one of which is self-driving. The first and second trolley are conveyed in line along the first rail with a load bar therebetween. The first carrier defines a length measured along the first rail and a width measured transverse. The first carrier is conveyed to a branch point where a second rail branches from the first rail. The second trolley is conveyed along the second the rail to turn the first carrier so that it is conveyed with the load bar traversing between the first and second rails. The width is substantially less than the length such that the turning of the first carrier reduces an occupancy of the first carrier along the first rail.

Embodiments of a mobile carrier monitoring apparatus are disclosed. The apparatus includes one or more mobile carriers configured to receive items being manufactured in its interior and configured be moved by a transport system to multiple positions within a manufacturing facility. A mobile carrier control system is positioned in the interior or on the exterior of each mobile carrier, as are one or more sensors that are coupled to the mobile carrier control system. A communication system is positioned in the interior or on the exterior of each mobile carrier and communicatively coupled to the at least one sensor and to the mobile carrier control system, and an electrical power system positioned in the interior or on the exterior of each mobile carrier and coupled to deliver electrical power to the mobile carrier control system, to the one or more sensors, and to the communication system. Conveyor system with automated carriers

A conveyor system including a fixed, non-powered rail defining a conveyor path, and a plurality of automated conveyor carriers supported on the rail. Each carrier includes an on-board motor and electrical power source selectively powering the motor to drive the carrier along the rail. Each of the plurality of ACCs operates to power the on-board motor from the on-board electrical power source under the direction of instructions programmed to a local controller on the respective ACC. Wherein each of the local controllers of the respective ACCs is programmed to carry out independent power level management for its own on-board electrical power source and configured to selectively operate an adaptive low power indicator to communicate a low power status based only in part on the power level of the on-board electrical power source and further based on one or more parameters of a current work cycle.

A system and a method for automatic transfer of carcass parts suspended from a first carrier to being suspended from a second carrier. The carcass parts may be a half carcass that may have been eviscerated and cleaned. The first carrier may be an industry standard gambrel or a single carrier or a Marel DeboFlex carrier, for example a Euro Carrier. The second carrier may be a single carrier, for example a Euro Carrier, or a Marel DeboFlex carrier.

Loading station for a pocket conveyor

A loading station for a pocket conveyor having two conveying lines. The loading station has a receiving section for receiving pockets for each conveying line; a receiving section for objects, with which the pockets are to be loaded; and a device for each conveying line, into each of which an empty pocket to be filled can be introduced. In addition, the loading station has a moving unit for moving the devices from a receiving section for objects to one of the receiving sections for receiving pockets, and back again. The loading station is also designed to alternately load the pockets of the first conveying line and the pockets of the second conveying line.

A device for transferring units of goods has a suspended conveyor system on which conveyor units can be conveyed in a suspended manner along a continuous conveyor path. In an entry region, supplied conveyor units can be provided for further processing. Downstream of said entry region, a transfer device is provided in a transfer region, with which units of goods can be transferred into and/or out of a conveyor unit located in the transfer region. Downstream of said transfer region, processed conveyor units can be provided in an exit region for further use. The absolute alignment in space of a conveyor unit in the entry region and in the transfer region are substantially the same, and the relative alignment in relation to the conveying direction in the entry region and the transfer region are substantially different. Alternatively or additionally, the absolute alignment in space of a conveyor unit in the transfer region and in the exit region are substantially the same, and the relative alignment in relation to the conveying direction in the transfer region and in the exit region are substantially different.

A ceiling-mounted delivery assembly for a cabin of a vehicle includes a conveyance system that has a pair of guide rails, and a trolley operatively connected to the conveyance system for movement relative thereto. The trolley includes a control box having a pair of wheels. Each wheel is operatively connected to a respective one of the pair of guide rails. The control box includes a plurality of pulley drums extending from the control box. The trolley includes cable connection system having a plurality of cables. Each cable attached to a respective one of the pulley drums of the control box. The trolley includes a tray operatively connected to the cables of the cable connection system to be moved up and down relative to the control box.

Conveyor system for the transport of packaged food products

A conveyor system that utilizes a curved, closed-loop pathway defined by a profiled track and a plurality of wheel cars movably contained within and guided by the profiled track. The wheel cars have an attachment side facing towards an open side of the profiled track, and the track is arranged such that its open side faces into a substantially horizontal direction and such that the attachment side of the cars is oriented substantially vertically in any position along the pathway. One or more carriers, each having a carrier rack adapted to support a food product to be transported, are mounted to the attachment side of a respective one of the wheel cars. The carriers can pivot about an axis perpendicular to the attachment side of the corresponding car so as to maintain the carrier rack in a horizontal position as the carrier travels along the pathway.
