SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PROVIDING SINGULATION OF OBJECTS FOR PROCESSING
A processing system including a singulation system is disclosed. The singulation system includes a conveying system for moving objects to be sorted from a source area along a first direction, a detection system for detecting objects at the conveying system, and for selecting certain selected objects for removal from the conveying system, and a removal system for removing the certain selected objects from the conveying system for providing a singulated stream of objects.
CAPSULE DISPENSING DEVICE
A cartridge dispenser (1) has: a receptacle (10) delimiting a cavity (10) for storing cartridges (2); a cartridge outlet (11) for dispensing a single cartridge at a time from said cartridges (2), the single cartridge being dispensed in a predetermined cartridge dispensing orientation; and a cartridge transfer device (12,13,14) for transferring cartridges (2) from the cavity (10) to the cartridge outlet (11). The cavity (10) is so dimensioned that cartridges (2) can be stored in bulk therein at random capsule orientations. The transfer device comprises a delivery conveyor that is configured to displace cartridges from the bulk of cartridges towards the outlet and to deliver the cartridges (2) to the outlet (11) via an orientation-discrimination passage (15) which ensures that the cartridges (2) are delivered one at the time to the outlet (11) and that each cartridge (2,2a) that is delivered to the outlet (11) is in the predetermined orientation at the outlet (11).

AUTOMATIC CASE SEPARATING APPARATUS AND METHOD AND CASE SEPARATION SYSTEM
An automatic case separating apparatus includes a feeding mechanism configured to receive and deliver a plurality of cases after unpacked, a delivery mechanism configured to receive and deliver the cases output by the feeding mechanism, and a combing mechanism configured to comb and separate at least two overlapping cases on the delivery mechanism, so that the cases are separated from each other. The plurality of cases maintain a first state before unpacked. When the feeding mechanism delivers the cases to the delivery mechanism, the cases are in a second state on the delivery mechanism.

METHOD FOR ALIGNING AND RIGHTING PREFORMS BY MEANS OF CENTRIFUGATION, AND ASSOCIATED DEVICE
Disclosed is a method for aligning preforms in a row and righting same, the method being intended for use with axisymmetric preforms having an annular supporting face. The method includes: a first step of discharging preforms in bulk onto a rotating horizontal platen; a second step of aligning the preforms against a fixed peripheral rail by way of the centrifugal force produced by the rotation of the rotating platen; a third step of successively righting the aligned preforms by tilting the preform bodies, performed under the annular supporting face. During the second alignment step, the main axis of the preforms is oriented essentially tangentially to the direction of movement. Also disclosed is a device for carrying out the method.
Determination of removal strategies
An item that is moving along a moving surface of an inventory conveyance system may be identified. An orientation of the item with respect to the moving surface may be determined based on sensing information that describes the item and a portion of the moving surface surrounding the item. A removal strategy for operating a robotic arm to remove the item from the moving surface may be determined based at least in part on the item and the orientation. The removal strategy may include a trajectory for the robotic arm to follow as part of removing the item from the moving surface.
DEVICE FOR ALIGNING AND RIGHTING PREFORMS, COMPRISING A BOWL CENTRIFUGE EQUIPPED WITH MEANS FOR EJECTING MISALIGNED PREFORMS
Disclosed is a device for aligning preforms in a row and righting same, the device including a bowl centrifuge formed by: a horizontal circular platen rotating about a vertical axis; a fixed peripheral rail; at least a first angular sector for aligning the preforms against the rail; and at least a second angular sector for righting the preforms. The device includes a unit for actively ejecting incorrectly aligned preforms from the row of correctly aligned and righted preforms.
