Puck handling device for a conveyor system, comprising a puck handling disc and a drive means for rotating the puck handling disc, where the puck handling disc comprises a first semi-circular disc comprising a first cut-out and a second semi-circular disc comprising a second cut-out, where the first semi-circular disc and the second semi-circular disc are individually rotatable by the drive means, and where the first cut-out and the second cut-out forms a recess adapted to hold a puck when the puck handling disc is arranged in a first holding state. The advantage of the invention is that a puck handling device adapted to direct a puck from any of two infeed conveyors to any of two outfeed conveyors is provided. This allows for a flexible and quick handling of pucks.

CONVEYING SYSTEM FOR CONVEYABLE AND NON-CONVEYABLE ARTICLES

A conveying system is disclosed. The conveying system may have a first conveying apparatus that conveys a first article to a first location. The conveying system may also have a second conveying apparatus that conveys a second article to a second location. The conveying system may have a frame, a chute connected to the frame, and a third conveying apparatus. The chute may convey the first article received from the first conveying apparatus to a discharge location. The third conveying apparatus, disposed below the chute, may convey the second article received from the second conveying apparatus to the discharge location. The chute may be movable relative to the to the third conveying apparatus, such that the first or second article may be selectively conveyed to the discharge location via the chute or third conveying apparatus, depending on the position of the chute relative to the third conveying apparatus.

Parcel processing system and method including hybrid orientation active merge induction equipment

A parcel processing system (400) includes infeed conveyors (404, 406, 408) each conveying parcels (106) with an assigned orientation class, a merging conveyor (410) configured to merge parcels fed by the infeed conveyors into a single stream of parcels, and an induction conveyor (200) configured to feed the merged stream of parcels along an induction feed path (202) to a sorting conveyor (100). The infeed paths (404a, 406a) of the infeed conveyors are arranged at different angular orientations in relation to a merging feed path (412) of the merging conveyor such that each parcel in the merged stream of parcels has an orientation that is dependent upon its assigned orientation class. The merging conveyor (410) includes a multi-axis transport mechanism configured to move parcels along a principal axis parallel to the merging feed path and a secondary axis perpendicular to the principal axis, the merging conveyor being operable to selectively activate movement along the secondary axis for centering parcels being loaded thereon.

Device for controlling a flow of cardboard tubular cores (1) adapted to produce logs of paper material and intended to be stored in a collection point (2) placed downstream of the same device, including more conveyors (5; 7) each of which is adapted for carrying the said tubular cores (1) up to the entry point (6D) of a respective guide channel (6) having an entry point (6D) and an exit point (6F), interception devices (8) adapted for intercepting the tubular cores (1), the interception devices being arranged and acting on each of the channels (6) to adjust the flow of the tubular cores through the respective exit points (6F), and programmable device (UE) adapted for activating and deactivating the interception device (8). The interception devices (8) are adapted to selectively form two nips (N1, N2) inside the guide channel (6), the nips (N1, N2) being selectively formed at a predetermined distance from each other.

Method and conveying technology element for combining conveyor streams in a conveyor system
10239704 · 2019-03-26 · ·

A method combines conveyor streams on a conveying technology element having a number of ingoing conveyor segments at least one coupling to an outgoing conveyor segment on which the ingoing conveyor segments are brought together, and a number of holding devices for holding a conveyor flow on the ingoing conveyor segments. In addition, a number of release devices disposed downstream of the ingoing conveyor segments logically connected to an OR-connection are provided for releasing a holding device or a conveyed object. A holding device or a conveyed object waiting at the holding device is then respectively released when a conveyed object preceding the waiting conveyed object in a sorting order passes one of the connected release devices or when there is no preceding conveyed object. A conveying technology element carries out the method.

METHOD FOR SORTING CONVEYED OBJECTS ON A CONVEYOR SYSTEM

The invention relates to a method for bundling conveyed streams on a material handling element (Ka . . . Kz, K1 . . . K34) comprising a number of incoming conveyor segments (1a, 1b), at least one coupling (2) to an outgoing conveyor segment (3), on which the incoming conveyor segments (1a, 1b) converge, and a number of holding devices (4a, 4b) for holding a conveyed stream on the incoming conveyor segments (1a, 1b).
