Drag device for fishing reel using fluid resistance
The invention relates to a drag device for a fishing reel utilizing fluid resistance, including: a housing (3) forming an outer body; a resistance fluid charged in a hydraulic chamber (C) within the housing (3); a rotary blade (5) rotatably embedded in the hydraulic chamber (C) with the resistance fluid; and a rotary shaft (7) rotatably supported on the housing (3), rotatably supporting the rotary blade (5) within the hydraulic chamber (C), wherein, when a rotational torque greater than that set on a spool (10) of a fishing reel axially coupled to the rotary shaft (7) is applied, the rotary blade (5) is adapted to rotate with the spool (10) in the direction of unwinding the fishing line while overcoming the fluid resistance of the resistance fluid.

Spinning type fishing reel with bi-directionally rotating rotor and drag control to prevent line twist
A fishing spinning reel that eliminates problems associated with line twist by providing a rotor adapted for both forward and reverse rotation wherein a drag assembly applies drag to the rotor using an adjustable cam mechanism to prevent the rotor from imparting twist on the line when in the winding mode. By enabling the rotor to rotate in a reverse direction with the application of drag the present invention prevents line twist when fighting a fish by allowing the rotor to rotate in a reverse direction to let out line and/or to remain stationary as the handle is cranked thereby preventing the rotor from imparting twist on the line.

FISHING REEL INCLUDING MAGNETS DISPLACEABLE PERPENDICULARLY TO AXIAL DIRECTION OF SPOOL
Provided is a fishing reel including a variable brake, the position of which changes in the axial direction of a spool, and magnets displaceable perpendicularly to the axial direction of the spool. The distance between the variable brake and the magnet is automatically adjusted, and the positions of magnet holders may be adjusted using a dial. The spool includes a drum on which a fishing line is wound and a shaft provided at the center. A facing member is provided on one side of the drum, and includes a facing portion. A magnetic brake includes holders provided in a circumferential direction of the facing portion to move forwards and backwards in a direction perpendicular to an axial direction of the shaft and magnets mounted on the holders to respectively have a facing surface facing the facing portion. A braking force control means moves the holders forwards and backwards.
FISHING LINE CLIP DEVICE FOR FISHING REEL
Provided relates to a clip device for fixing an end portion of a fishing line of a fishing reel, including: a body member having a box-shaped structure with an open upper surface by coupling a support rod and a clamping rod; a movable member accommodated in the body member to be vertically movable, and configured to clamp the fishing line at a front thereof; and an elastic member interposed between the body member and the movable member. Accordingly, the clip device may stably fix the end portion of the fishing line that is wound during separation of the fishing reel from the fishing rod and storage of the fishing reel in a state where the end portion is in close contact with the level winder, so that a damage thereof may be prevented, thereby simultaneously improving convenience and durability.

Fly fishing reel with brake assembly and methods
A fishing reel and related method include a housing, a spool, and a brake assembly. The housing includes an external circumferential surface and an internal circumferential surface. The spool is configured to have a length of fishing line wound thereon, and is rotatable relative to the housing about a rotation shaft. The brake assembly is mounted to and rotatable with the spool. The brake assembly includes a plurality of pivotally mounted pawls. The plurality of pawls each include a contact surface arranged facing the internal circumferential surface. Rotation of the fishing reel upon the fishing line being pulled out of the fishing reel when a fish pulls on the fishing line causes a centrifugal force that moves the contact surface of the plurality of pawls into contact with the internal circumferential surface to reduce a rotational speed of the spool relative to the housing.
Electric fishing reel
An electric fishing reel comprises a reel main body that comprises a left frame and a right frame and side plates covering the left and right frames, an operating part that is provided on a side of the left frame or a side of the right frame and is rotatable, a handle shaft of the operating part, a drive gear that comprises a cylindrical portion and a tooth surface and is rotatably frictionally coupled to the handle shaft, and a drag washer that is non-rotatably fitted to the handle shaft and is provided at an end of the drive gear on a side in a direction of the handle shaft, in which a protruding portion protruding in a direction of the drive gear from an inside of the side plate covering the left frame or the right frame is provided, and an end of the protruding portion is formed to be separated by a distance equal to or less than 3.0 mm with respect to an upper surface of the drive gear as viewed in the direction of the handle shaft.
