A system for stacking and packaging a plurality of discrete products of different sizes is provided. The system includes a stacking system having a movable lift plate, a slide plate assembly, an adjustable stop plate, and adjustable sidewalls. Layers of articles are introduced into a stack area, and movement of the lift plate and the slide plate assembly are coordinated to stack products in layers on the lift plate. The stacking system includes an adjustment assembly that allows adjustment of the position of the stop plate and/or the sidewalls relative to a frame such that the stacking system can be quickly and efficiently configured for use with layers of articles that have different depths and/or widths. In another aspect, the stacking system cooperates with a tipping system that rolls or tips stacked product to facilitate further processing or use of the product package.

The magazine includes a first vertical guide and a second guide, the second guide capable of being inclined at an inclination relative to the first guide. The inclination of the second guide is adjustable to accommodate destacking of the trays in the stack of trays.

A palletizing device for container packs including a structure and a loading surface of the packs with side-by-side parallel rollers mounted on mobile frames with a freely rotation. Two side parts are movable from a closed position to an open position, and reversely. When a locking system of the rollers with a locking means with a cart with a locker mobile from a folded position to an unfolded position, and reversely, is in the unfolded position, the locker is blocking the freely rotation of the rollers, and the locking system has a fixed locking actuator cooperating with the locking actuator to move the locker from the folded position to the unfolded position to lock the rollers of the two sides parts during the movement from the closed to the opened position. In some examples, displacement of the loading surface can cause the locker to either engage or disengage.

The invention comprises a method for horizontal movement of a group or layer of articles (10) from a vertically movable first support level (38) of a first module (12) to a vertically movable second support level (40) of a second module (14) immediately downstream of the first conveyor module (12) in a direction of transport or transfer (20, 50) while substantially maintaining the relative positions of a plurality of articles (16) forming the group or layer of articles (10). The movement or transfer is carried out by means of a transfer device (19). Additionally, the horizontal movement of the group or layer of articles (10) while the first and second support levels (38, 40) of the first and second modules (12, 14), which can move vertically in a synchronized fashion during the transfer process, are approximately aligned.

A transfer device for transferring items to be conveyed, such as flat goods, from a feed conveyor to conveyor spaces of an onward conveyor. The transfer device forms a stationary receiving space for at least one item to be conveyed, the receiving space being delimited at the bottom by a movable support element. The support element is movable via a displacing device between a support position, in which the at least one item to be conveyed lies flat on the support element, and a delivery position, in which the item to be conveyed falls, under the influence of gravity through a released transfer opening downwards, and onto a conveyor space of the onward conveyor that is displaced past below the receiving space.
