SPOOL LINE RELEASE SYSTEM AND METHOD OF USE
A cap for securing to a reel, the cap includes a body extending from a first end to a second end; an opening at the second end of the body and to have fishing line extending therethrough; and an attachment device to provide for securing of the body to the reel; the cap extends away from the reel to prevent friction, drag and inefficiencies from affecting the line.
Reel drag mechanism
A drag assembly is provided for a spinning fishing reel. The drag assembly includes a collar engaged with a mainshaft of a reel. The collar is fixed to the mainshaft for rotational movement with the mainshaft, but is fixed with respect to a housing against longitudinal movement with the mainshaft. The mainshaft is thereby free to oscillate longitudinally through the collar. A brake mechanism is also provided for selective engagement with the collar. The brake mechanism includes a brake surface. The brake surface makes selective contact with the collar to create a selective frictional force against rotation of the collar, and thereby against rotation of the mainshaft. An adjustment mechanism is also engaged with the brake mechanism. The adjustment mechanism causes more or less force to be applied to the brake mechanism, creating greater or lesser frictional force between the brake surface and the collar.
Dual-bearing reel
A dual-bearing reel includes a reel body and an attachment/detachment mechanism. The attachment/detachment mechanism includes an attachment/detachment operation portion, a first locking member and a second locking member. The first locking member is located on a side plate of the reel body. The second locking member is swingable relative to the first locking member. The attachment/detachment mechanism is configured to permit or restrict rotation of the attachment/detachment operation portion relative to the side plate by using the first locking member and the second locking member. When the attachment/detachment operation portion is operated to rotate while the second locking member is at a rotation-restricting position, an engagement portion presses an engaged portion such that swinging of the second locking member from the rotation-restricting position to a rotation-permitting position is restricted.
Heated fishing reel
A heated fishing reel, a system for heating a fishing reel, and a heated handle assembly provide a means of warming the hands of a user. The heated fishing reel comprises a reel casing, a handle, a side plate, a power source disposed in the fishing reel to provide power for a heating element disposed within one of a reel casing of the fishing reel or a side plate of the fishing reel. The system for heating the fishing reel comprises a plurality of heating elements and a power source disposed in the fishing reel for providing power to the plurality of heating elements. The heated handle assembly comprises a rocker arm, a knob attached to a distal end of the rocker arm, a heating element disposed in the knob, and a power source mounted in the knob for heating the knob.
FISHING ASSEMBLY
A fishing device adapted to be used hands-free and generate an alert when a fish is hooked is ideally suited to be used in confined spaces such as an ice fishing shelter.
Dual-bearing reel
A dual-bearing reel is provided that basically includes a reel main body, a spool, a clutch operating member and a first barrier portion. The reel main body has a first side plate and a second side plate. The second side plate is disposed at a distance from the first side plate in an axial direction. The clutch operating member is movably supported on the reel main body in a vertical direction between the first side plate and the second side plate behind the spool. The clutch operating member switches between a transmitting and disconnecting of a rotational force to the spool. The first barrier portion is provided on one of the clutch operating member and the reel main body. The first barrier portion prevents the fishing line from entering between the clutch operating member and the first side plate of the reel main body.
Fishing reel having pinion support structure
Provided is a fishing reel having a pinion support structure. The fishing reel is configured such that a spool shaft and a pinion are spaced apart from each other without being in contact with each other, so that it is possible to prevent reduction in casting distance and noise generation during casting due to friction between the spool shaft and the pinion. The fishing reel includes: a spool shaft provided such that opposite ends thereof are mounted axially between opposite side covers, and including a main shaft and a pinion shaft; and a clutch means fitted over the pinion shaft and moved forward and backward in a longitudinal direction of the pinion shaft, and including a pinion which is provided with a stopper at a second end portion to be engaged with the fastening pin.
Dual-bearing reel
A dual-bearing reel includes a reel body, a cover member and a casting control mechanism. The cover member is disposed to cover the reel body from a first side plate side, and includes a cover part, a bulging part and a first boss part. The cover part is located outside a first side plate of a reel body of the dual-bearing reel in an axial direction. The bulging part bulges outward from the cover part in the axial direction. The first boss part has a shape protruding outward from the bulging part in the axial direction, and causes a spool shaft to be inserted therethrough. The casting control mechanism includes an operating member that is attached to the first boss part so as to be movable in the axial direction and protrudes at part of an outer periphery thereof from the bulging part as seen in the axial direction.
Dual-bearing reel
A dual-bearing reel includes a reel body, a spool, a handle, and a spool shaft. The reel body has a first side plate having a first opening that opens in an axial direction of the spool shaft and through which the spool can pass, a second side plate that faces the first side plate, and a second side cover that is mounted on the second side plate. The spool has a bobbin trunk and a second flange. The handle is rotatably provided on the first side plate side of the reel body. The second side plate has a second opening that opens in the axial direction and a fixing portion for mounting a second side cover member, the fixing portion being provided on a peripheral edge of the second opening and at a position overlapping the second flange as viewed in the axial direction.
