A pick assist system may include a pallet destacker storing a front column of pallets and a back column of pallets. At least one rfid reader is configured to read an rfid tag on a pallet in or below at least one of the front column of pallets or the back column of pallets. The pick assist system may include a pallet sled including a display indicating a product to be retrieved. The pallet sled may determine that the product has been placed in a center of a pallet on the pallet sled. A method for verifying a pallet may include identifying skus on exterior products in a layer in a stack of products. Based upon that determination, the skus of the interior products may also be determined. For example, it may be determined that the interior products were part of a layer pick.

ITEM LEVEL PICKING METHOD AND SYSTEM

An RFID enabled system and method for tracking, directing, verifying, and validating item level order picking functions within order fulfilment and warehouse facilities having different SKUs sharing an inventory tote. RFID tags are coupled to each inventory item to be read by one or more RFID reader(s) in the facility. The system and method verify that a required item is picked and transferred correctly by the picker. The system provides feedback to the picker without requiring additional verification steps and preferably without any visual inspection by the picker. The picker may be guided to the required item and later directed to a location to place the retrieved item. The verification system may be adapted for use in a material handling system to monitor and direct material handling functions based on relative positions of RFID tags on individual items relative to RFID readers positioned throughout the facility.

In one scenario, a conveyor control system implements a hardware sensor in a conveyor system to generate sensor readings regarding an operational status of a first zone in an operational environment, where the first zone is an area where orders are fulfilled. The conveyor control system receives sensor data from the hardware sensor of the conveyor system. The sensor data includes feedback information for controlling the conveyor system. The conveyor control system then evaluates the received sensor data to determine which conveyable items are currently in the first zone and, based on the evaluation, induces the conveyable items onto the conveyor for the first zone.

A system and method that automatically monitors product use, such as the type and amount of agricultural and/or horticultural product stored in and dispensed from a cartridge over time and/or by geographic location. Monitored data are stored in memory such as a tag on the cartridge and may be transmitted to a server for storage, aggregation, and analysis. The cartridge may be authenticated before being authorized for use for the benefit of a current user in dispensing the product. The cartridge may be refilled after confirmation of authorization codes on the cartridge and refilling equipment tags. The cartridge may be calibrated automatically based on the bulk density or other parameter of the product in the cartridge. Data may be aggregated from a plurality of cartridges automatically. As-applied data from individual cartridges may be used to verify, independent of operator input, treated area coverage and product application rate.
