Bait fish cutter
An apparatus for accurately cutting baitfish at a compound miter angle of forty five degrees. The apparatus automatically centers the bait fish within a transverse well at the bottom of a half pipe tube capable of accommodating various common bait fish sizes. The compound miter cut provided by this apparatus exactly matches the compound miter found within the construction of the Sure Spin Herring Helmet® Angler Innovations. The present apparatus is easily washable and leaves no trace of fish scent between uses as it is constructed from non-absorbing high density polyethylene (HPDE). The apparatus further provides safe usage as downward pressure is applied to the cutting tool and bait fish as the cutting tool blade enters the blade slot groove. The present apparatus is constructed with two half pipe options to accommodate multiple bait fish dimensions.
FISH ATTRACTANT DISPERSAL APPARATUS
A fish attractant dispersal apparatus may comprise a dispersal pouch encompassing fish attractant. The dispersal pouch may comprise a water-soluble material configured to dissolve in water to release the fish attractant. The dispersal pouch may define an attractant cavity configured to encompass and seal the fish attractant. The attractant cavity may be sealed to at least partially reduce air trapped within the attractant cavity. The attractant cavity may be sealed to remove air within the attractant cavity.
Application of Cyclodextrins (CDs) for Remediation of Perfluoroalkyl Substances (PFASs)
A system for remediation of perfluoroalkyl substances (PFASs) has a multiplicity of β-cyclodextrins (β-CDs) and/or modified β-CDs combined with a vehicle additive, and a delivery device. Modified β-CDs can contain a single amine functionality at a single primary carbon or single secondary carbon of the β-CD. The vehicle additive can be powdered activated carbon (PAC). The delivery device is a column, a pouch, a packet, or a sheet that can permit the contacting of a fluid environment with the β-CDs and vehicle additive. The system of remediation can be used for a fluid environment or for biological organisms. CD-based fluorescent sensors can detect PFASs in the environment.
BAIT HOOKING DEVICE
The project of the present disclosure is to provide a measure for easily putting an earthworm and the like onto a fishhook without causing a finger to touch the earthworm.
[Solution] A bait hooking device 1 is provided with: a first clamping component 2 having a first clamping portion 23 and a fishhook guide member on the front end side 2b, wherein the first clamping component 2 is connected with the start end side 2a to enable opening and closing by a shaft; a second clamping component 3 provided with a second clamping portion 33 on the front end side 3b; a guide rod 41 provided between the first clamping component 2 and the second clamping component 3 and running through a bait clamped to the first clamping portion 23 and the second clamping portion 33, so as to be clamped to a fishhook guided by the fishhook guide member; and a bait moving component 5 having a pressing portion 52 close to the guide rod 41 and causing the pressing portion 52 to move along the guide rod 41 to the fishhook side.
Minnow capturing system and method
A minnow capturing system includes a tubular member that has an open first end, an open second end and a perimeter wall having a plurality of elongated slits. The slits expose portions of a minnow held within the tubular member such that a hook can extend through the slits and through the minnow. A housing for holding minnows and water has a bottom wall and a peripheral wall. The peripheral wall includes a front wall, a rear wall, a first side wall and a second side wall. A juncture is defined where the bottom wall meets the first side wall. The interior surface of the first side wall is concavel arcuate from the front wall to the rear wall. The tubular member is positionable against the juncture such that a minnow in the housing swims into the second end.
Bait holder with bait cutter
A bait holder includes a multi-purpose lid that has a sliding portion operable to both cut and enclose bait within a bait container.
Berley dispenser
A berley dispenser, including a container to store berley, a homogenizer within the container to form a homogenized berley from one or more predetermined homogenized berley settings where each setting corresponds to a particular fish type, a discharge port to discharge the homogenized berley, and a controller to control the homogenization of the berley by the selection of the one or more predetermined homogenized berley settings to form the homogenized berley and control the discharge of the homogenized berley. The controller can communicate with a GPS navigator, fish finder or other similar device to coordinate the homogenization of the berley and/or discharge of the homogenized berley.
Production method of fish baits and fish baits according to this production method
The invention relates to a novel method for producing fish bait, in which fish are dehydrated and then impregnated. In a first step, fresh dead fish bodies are attached and suspended on a horizontal carrier in the longitudinal direction and then frozen in a deep freezer. In a second step, the frozen fish bodies are impregnated in deep-frozen acetone and dewatered. In a third step, the acetone is brought to room temperature in order to defat the fish bodies. In a forth step, the fish bodies are impregnated in a vacuum chamber, the acetone being replaced by a suitable impregnating means for a plurality of days under a vacuum. And in a fifth step, the fish bodies impregnated with the impregnating means are hardened at room temperature.
