A document feeder for a printer may include an upper part and/or a lower part. The upper part may include a feeding roller arrangement configured to engage with an upper face of a document. The lower part may include a retaining surface. The lower part may further include a sliding element which, in at least an operation mode of the document feeder, may have a portion that projects with respect to the retaining surface for supporting a lower face of the document in such a way that at least a portion of the document is raised with respect to the retaining surface.

A cash recycling system and a banknote separating device thereof are provided. The banknote separating device includes a supporting side plate, and an impeller wheel assembly, a banknote separating assembly, a first banknote pressing assembly and a second banknote pressing assembly mounted to the supporting side plate. The first banknote pressing assembly includes a first banknote pressing plate and a synchronous belt pulley mechanism configured to drive the first banknote pressing plate, and the synchronous belt pulley mechanism includes two synchronous pulleys and a synchronous belt sleeved on the synchronous pulleys. With the banknote separating device, the structure is simplified, the banknote clamping risk is reduced, and the reliability is improved.
Sheet-type medium separating apparatus and self-service financial device
A sheet-type medium separating apparatus applicable in a self-service financial device for reliable sheet-by-sheet separation of an entire stack of banknotes. The apparatus includes a pickup roller component; a reversal roller component; and a separation roller component, where the reversal roller component includes a reversal roller, the reversal roller is fitted onto a reversal roller shaft via a one-way bearing, the reversal roller is provided with an inner sleeve cylinder fixed with the one-way bearing and a reversal roller sleeve sleeved onto the inner sleeve cylinder and capable of moving axially and flexibly. The separating apparatus allows for automatic adjustment of the meshing clearance between the reversal roller and the separation roller on the basis of the thickness of sheet-type media to be separated, thus effectively solving the problem of the sheet-type media being jammed or torn.
Paper-sheet feeding unit
A paper-sheet feeding unit includes: a feed roller configured to be rotated when feeding out a paper sheet, the feed roller having a high friction portion placed on a part of a circumference of an outer circumferential surface thereof, and a low friction portion placed on a location of the outer circumferential surface thereof other than the high friction portion, the low friction portion having a frictional coefficient smaller than that of the high friction portion; and a gate member arranged to be pressed against the outer circumferential surface of the feed roller, the gate member constituting a gate section configured to separate, one by one, the paper sheets fed out by the feed roller.
Roller member, sheet feeding apparatus and image forming apparatus
A roller member includes an endless belt elastically deformable and configured to convey a sheet and a holding unit holding the endless belt. The holding unit includes a first holding portion being in contact with an inner circumferential surface of the endless belt, a second holding portion being in contact with an outer circumferential surface of the endless belt and movable with respect to the first holding portion, and an engage portion engaging with an engaged portion. The second holding portion is moved with respect to the first holding portion by resilient force of the endless belt in a state in which the second holding portion is in contact with the outer circumferential surface of the endless belt in response to a disengagement of the engage portion from the engaged portion.
Paper feeding roll and method for manufacturing same
A paper feeding roll includes a shaft body and an elastic material layer. A first outer diameter portion and a second outer diameter portion having a larger outer diameter than the first outer diameter portion are provided in a portion where the elastic material layer is provided. A sloping portion is provided connecting between the first and second outer diameter portions so that the outer diameter varies along an axial direction. The sloping portion occupies 3% to 80% of the portion where the elastic material layer is provided. A difference in outer diameter between the first and second outer diameter portions is 50 m to 1,000 m. Protrusions that form surface unevenness are formed on an outer peripheral surface of the elastic material layer. Surface roughness of the first outer diameter portion is 50% to 200% of a step difference between the first and second outer diameter portions.
Sheet feeding device
A sheet feeding device includes a roller unit having first and second engagement units, a first engaged unit, and a pressing arm having a second engaged unit. By being rotated about the first engagement unit from a first position where the first engagement unit and the first engaged unit are engaged with each other, and the second engagement unit and the second engaged unit are not engaged with each other, the roller unit is movable to a second position at which the first engagement unit and the first engaged unit are engaged with each other, and the second engagement unit and the second engaged unit are engaged with each other. By the second engagement unit pressing the second engaged unit to move the roller unit from the first position to the second position, the second engaged unit moves to a position retracted from a second engagement unit movement locus.
Medium conveyance device
Provided is a medium conveying apparatus to enable suitable feeding of a plurality of types of media. A medium conveying apparatus includes a guide member including an opening or a notch and configured to form a conveyance surface of a medium, a feed roller located inside the opening or the notch and configured to feed the medium, a separation roller located to face the feed roller, and protruding parts located on left and right sides of the separation roller relative to a medium conveying direction. The guide member includes recessed parts positioned on left and right sides of the feed roller relative to the medium conveying direction. The protruding parts are located at positions facing the opening or the notch, or the recessed parts in such a way that the medium is conveyed between the protruding parts and the recessed parts. A tip of each of the protruding parts is positioned on the feed roller side of a nip part of the feed roller and the separation roller.
Single moveable feeder unit for multi-function devices and corresponding methods
The present disclosure discloses a moveable feeder assembly/unit for multi-function devices and corresponding retrieval and printing methods. Here, a multi-function device is disclosed. The multi-function device includes multiple trays. Each tray is configured to receive or store one or more media sheets, and further is positioned at a respective vertical height. The multi-function device further includes a single moveable feeder unit for all trays at the multi-function device. The single moveable feeder unit is configured to move across a plurality of positions to reposition itself proximate to a target tray of multiple trays, selected for printing operation.
Sheet feeding device and image forming apparatus including same
A sheet feeding device includes a cassette storage part, a sheet feed cassette, a pickup roller, a feed roller, a retard roller, a retaining member, and a pushing mechanism. The pushing mechanism pushes the retaining member so that the retard roller is pushed to contact with the feed roller. The pushing mechanism includes a pushing member that contacts and pushes the retaining member, and a biasing member that biases the pushing member. In a plane perpendicular to a rotation shaft of the retard roller, a pushing direction of the pushing member in a push contact position against the retaining member forms an angle of 45 degrees or less, with a straight line connecting the center of the rotation shaft of the retard roller and the center of a rotation shaft of the feed roller.
