MEDIUM CONVEYING APPARATUS FOR CONTROLLING FEEDING BASED ON A MOVEMENT AMOUNT OF AN ARM AND A SIZE OF A MEDIUM
A medium conveying apparatus includes a medium tray, a feed roller, an upper guide, a movement sensor including an arm movably provided by the fed medium on the upper guide and on an upstream side of the feed roller, to generate a movement amount signal corresponding to a movement amount of the arm, a medium sensor to detect a presence of the medium at a predetermined position of the medium tray, a processor to determine whether a feeding abnormality of the medium has occurred based on the movement amount signal, detect a size of the medium placed on the medium tray based on a detection result by the medium sensor, and stop feeding of the medium by the feed roller when the processor determines that the feeding abnormality of the media has occurred and the detected size of the media is equal to or less than a predetermined size.
Document Feeder
According to aspects of the present disclosures, when a cancel command is input during a document conveying process, drive of a conveying motor is stopped. Then, a movable plate of a feed tray is moved down from a supplying position to a lowermost position being a non-supplying position, and the drive of the conveying motor is restarted. The conveying motor is driven at least until a document sheet is discharged from a conveying path.
APPARATUS AND METHOD TO RESTORE PAPER STACK INTEGRITY
A paper feed apparatus. The paper feed apparatus can include a stack of paper, the stack of paper having an uppermost sheet of paper and a second sheet of paper being disposed below the uppermost sheet of paper. A driven pick roller is suitably arranged in contact with the uppermost sheet of paper and is suitably rotatable in a first roller direction to convey the uppermost sheet of paper in a first paper direction. A nip defined by a driven feed roller and a separation roller is suitably disposed downstream from the pick roller, the nip having a gap sufficient for the uppermost sheet of paper to pass through, the gap being sufficient for the separation roller to be in frictional engagement with the second sheet of paper to prevent it from passing through the nip. A rotating element having a plurality of radially extending brush elements is suitably disposed between the driven pick roller and the driven feed roller and rotatable in a second direction opposite the first roller direction to urge the second sheet of paper under the influence of the plurality of radially extending brush elements in a second paper direction opposite the first paper direction.
Feeding device and image forming apparatus
A feeding device includes a feeding device body of which a downstream end portion in a feeding direction, in which a material to be fed is fed, is mounted on a mounting portion, and that is openable and closable between a closed position where an upstream end portion is positioned above the downstream end portion and an open position where the upstream end portion is positioned on a side of the downstream end portion, a stacked portion that is provided on the feeding device body and on which the material to be fed is stacked in the open position, a detection unit that has a detection member hanging down to a downstream end portion of the stacked portion in the open position, moves to a downstream side in the feeding direction as the detection member is pressed by a downstream end portion of the material to be fed stacked on the stacked portion, and detects a stack of the materials to be fed on the stacked portion, and a restriction unit that restricts movement of the detection member to the downstream side in the feeding direction in the closed position.
Load stops
In an example, a load stop may comprise a stop paddle, a paddle link, a swingarm engaged with a motive element, and a cam gear to engage the swingarm with the paddle link. The paddle link may move the stop paddle from a locked position, to a gathering position, and to a stowed position. The swingarm may transfer the motion of the motive element to the cam gear such that the cam gear is to move in a first direction, the cam gear to drive the paddle link to move the stop paddle from the locked position, to the gathering position, and to the stowed position when the motive element moves in a first drive direction, and the swingarm moves the cam gear in the first direction.
PAPER SHEET PROCESSING DEVICE
A paper sheet processing device includes: an ejection roller for ejecting a paper sheet; and a bill press for pressing the paper sheet against the ejection roller, wherein the bill press has: a bill press main body that moves in a direction to approach and separate from the ejection roller; a pressing portion that is provided on the ejection roller side of the bill press main body and moves in a direction to approach and separate from the bill press main body; and an elastic portion provided between the pressing portion and the bill press main body.
PICKUP ROLLER ROTATED BY DRIVING FORCE FOR MOVING KNOCK-UP PLATE
A feeding apparatus includes a knock-up plate to be rotatably installed on a main body of an image forming apparatus and install a paper, a knock-up spring to elastically apply pressure to the knock-up plate in a direction of a pickup roller, a cam to be fixed at one end of a knock-up shaft and downwardly apply pressure to the knock-up plate, and a driving force transfer member to transfer a rotating force of the knock-up shaft to the pickup roller.
Processing apparatus and feed unit
There is provided a processing apparatus including: a processing unit that performs a predetermined process on a medium; a placement unit on which the medium is placed in a first posture; a medium feeding unit that feeds the medium from the placement unit toward the processing unit; and a feed unit that is detachably disposed on the placement unit. The feed unit causes the medium to be placed in a second posture which is different from the first posture. The first posture is a posture in which a surface of the medium is placed along a placement surface of the placement unit, and the second posture is a posture in which sides of a plurality of media are brought into contact with the placement surface of the feed unit.
RECORDING APPARATUS
A recording apparatus includes a sheet feeding device including a sheet feed tray on which a medium is mounted in an inclined orientation, a feeding roller configured to feed the medium, and a sheet feed slot that is defined by the sheet feed tray and the feeding roller i, and a recording section configured to perform recording onto the medium fed from the sheet feeding device. The recording apparatus includes a scanner unit that is disposed on a body of the recording apparatus and functions as a reading device for reading a document, and a guiding member that is inclined from a side surface of a guiding member installation section that is a side surface of the scanner unit on a sheet feed tray side in a state in which the scanner unit is closed with respect to the body of the recording apparatus.
DOCUMENT CONVEYING APPARATUS THAT PROPERLY DISCHARGES DOCUMENTS REGARDLESS OF AMOUNT OF DOCUMENTS
Provided is a document conveying apparatus that properly discharges documents regardless of the amount of documents stacked on a discharge tray without complicated construction of a transmission mechanism for transmitting a driving force to conveying rollers. A conveying roller pair is provided at an end portion on an upstream side. A swing mechanism swings a discharge mechanism centered around a drive shaft of the conveying roller pair. An upper surface height measuring unit measures the height of the upper surface of documents stacked on the discharge tray. A control unit, by causing the swing mechanism to swing the discharge mechanism according to the height measured by the upper surface height measuring unit, performs control so that the difference between a discharge port and the upper surface of the documents stacked on the discharge tray is within a specified range.
