SHEET MANUFACTURING APPARATUS
A sheet manufacturing apparatus includes a transport section configured to transport a sheet made of a material containing fiber and a control section configured to control operation of the transport section. The transport section includes a first roller and a second roller which is disposed downstream of and separately from the first roller in a transport direction of the sheet and which is rotationally driven. The control section is configured to adjust a rotation speed of the second roller in accordance with a manufacturing condition of the sheet.
Engine for generating control plans for digital pre-print paper, sheet, and box manufacturing systems
Systems for providing efficient manufacturing of paper, sheet, and/or box products of varying size and structure, often with pre-applied print (pre-print), are provided herein. One or more controllers can be used to aggregate upcoming orders and information needed to complete the manufacturing process for the order. A controller enables a user to prepare control plans (e.g., reel maps, reel plans, etc.) for processing rolls of web product through the manufacturing process. Criteria filtering and/or various features enable generation of efficient and effective control plans for rolls of web product, including, in some cases, multiple orders. The control plan may include a set of instructions for operating one or more systems within the manufacturing process to form the desired finished paper-based product. In such a regard, efficient manufacturing of various paper-based products, including corrugated boxes, folded carton, labels, flexible paper, industrial bags, plates, cups, dcor, and many others, can be achieved.
Tear-assist blade
A material dispenser having a dispensing member configured to dispense a line of the material along a path in a downstream direction, and a cutting member having a cutting edge extending generally downstream with respect to the path. The cutting member having a convex shape across the path, such that the cutting edge engages and sequentially initiates cuts through the line of material when the line of material is pulled against the cutting member, thereby minimize cutting forces.
RECORDING MEDIUM POST-PROCESSING DEVICE
A recording medium post-processing device includes a binding unit and a hole forming unit. The binding unit performs a binding process on a recording medium bundle. The hole forming unit performs a hole forming process in a region of recording media that constitute the recording medium bundle including a part of a binding region in which the binding process is performed.
Portable and detachable dispenser
A lightweight, portable and detachable dispenser for reeled products such as tape, wrapping paper, aluminum foils and likes is disclosed. The dispenser includes a base portion that engages with inner circumference of a roll of the reeled product, and a top portion that is operatively coupled with the base portion and attaches to outer circumference of the roll, and includes a cutting means. The dispenser is made of a single wire, and allows dispensing of the reeled product in two different modes. In a first mode the reeled product is cut from top side and free end of the reeled product rests on a raised fourth portion of the top portion. In a second mode the reeled product is cut from bottom side and free end rests on a raised third portion of the top portion. Thus, the disclosed dispenser allows universal application and improves efficiency of dispensing.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING CORELESS PAPER ROLL
A coreless paper roll manufacturing method includes: unrolling a wide tissue web from a parent roll; spraying adhesive on the wide tissue web; winding the wide tissue web on a winding mandrel to form a log roll; and cutting the log roll to form a plurality of paper rolls. The spraying includes depositing a first adhesive, having a bonding strength capable of solidifying the wide tissue web wound on the winding mandrel and separating a sheet of tissue from the solidified wide tissue web, on parts of the wide tissue web from which the wide tissue web starts to be wound, the parts including both ends of the wide tissue web in the width direction and positions at which the log roll is cut, and depositing a second adhesive having a lower bonding strength than the first adhesive on parts between the parts where the first adhesive is deposited.
Printed unit block aligning device and printed unit block aligning method
A printed unit block aligning device includes a supporting element and an alignment transfer rail. The supporting element is opened and closed between a supporting position and a releasing position. The alignment transfer rail receives the group of the printed unit blocks dropped in response to move of the supporting element to the releasing position, aligns the printed unit blocks in each line unit block in a vertical direction, and feeds the printed unit blocks vertically at a constant speed using alignment transferring element. An electrical controlling element is provided that electrically controls timing of dropping the printed unit blocks from the supporting element onto the alignment transfer rail. While a speed of transfer of the horizontal feeding and transferring element are uniform for any imposition structure, the electrical controlling element controls timing of dropping the printed unit blocks in a manner that depends on the numbers of layers in each vertical line in different imposition structures.
Tape applicator with tape end fold and associated case sealing machine and method
An adhesive tape application device of a case sealing machine for sealing cases automatically and folding over the end of the adhesive tape to form a grippable non-adhesive tape end portion for easy peeling.
Hand Tape Applicator and System Including Same
Various embodiments of a hand tape applicator and system including such applicator are disclosed. The hand tape applicator includes a body, a spindle connected to the body that is configured to receive a tape roll that includes tape, and an ergonomic handle connected to the body. The applicator further includes a roller mechanism connected to the body that is configured to apply the tape to a substrate. The roller mechanism includes a head and a tape roller extending along a roller axis between a first end and a second end of the tape roller. The tape roller is connected to the head at each of the first and second ends. The applicator further includes a force sensor connected to the head. The force sensor is configured to detect a force between the tape roller and the head and provide a signal indicative of the force.
STACKING APPARATUS OF SHEET-SHAPED WORKPIECE AND STACKING METHOD THEREOF
A stacking apparatus of a sheet-shaped workpiece includes a pick-and-place machine that holds and picks up a sheet-shaped workpiece cut out from a sheet material and places the workpiece onto a stacking position to stack sequentially, a detector that is provided in the pick-and-place machine and detects a position of the workpiece in a lifted state by the pick-and-place machine and a controller that controls the pick-and-place machine. The controller calculates a position shift of the workpiece based on the position of the workpiece detected by the detector and adjusts, based on the calculated position shift, a holding position of a workpiece by the pick-and-place machine in a future operation.
