Rope storage unit and a method for installing an elevator rope
A rope storage unit for storing an elevator rope during transportation and/or installation of the elevator rope includes a rope reel, formed by a rope wound in a spiral form and having a central axis; and a support frame provided with an inner space inside which the rope reel is positioned supported by the support frame such that it can in use be rotated in the inner space for unwinding the rope. The rope is a rod having a straight form when in rest state and elastically bendable away from the straight form, the rope being under substantial bending tension in the spiral form, and wherein the support frame comprises three or more rotatable support rollers delimiting the inner space and surrounding radially the rope reel. A method for installing an elevator rope implements the rope storage unit.

CABLE LAYING APPARATUS CAPABLE OF CHANGING DIRECTION OF CABLE
Provided is a cable laying apparatus capable of changing a direction of a cable, which is configured to lay a cable from a cable drum placed on a trailer bogie without additional unloading work, the cable laying apparatus including a frame unit variably installed to accommodate the cable drum therein; a traverse part provided at a side of the frame unit and configured to guide a withdrawal direction of the cable wound around the cable drum; and a cable unwinding part located at the rear of the traverse part and configured to pull the cable, wherein the traverse part is further configured to change the withdrawal direction of the cable withdrawn in a radial direction of the cable drum to an axial direction of the cable drum.
CABLE LAYING METHOD USING CABLE LAYING APPARATUS CAPABLE OF CHANGING DIRECTION OF CABLE
Provided is a cable laying method using a cable laying apparatus capable of changing a direction of a cable, the cable laying method including: (A) installing a frame unit; (B) arranging a trailer bogie loaded with a cable drum inside the frame unit without additional loading work; (C) rotating the cable drum, which is loaded in the trailer bogie, by an under roller part; (D) changing a withdrawal direction of a cable unwound from the cable drum by a traverse part of the frame unit; (E) supplying the cable, the withdrawal direction of which is changed by the traverse part, to a cable unwinding part located at the rear of the traverse part; and (F) supplying the cable passing through the cable unwinding part to a required place through a curvature guide part located at the rear of the cable unwinding part, wherein the traverse part is configured to change a direction of the cable withdrawn in a radial direction of the cable drum to an axial direction of the cable drum.
System and Method For Handling Reel Of Pipe
A system includes a frame and a first pair of rollers coupled to a first side of the frame. The first pair of rollers is configured to support a first end of a pipe reel. The system also includes a first cradle disposed longitudinally between the first pair of rollers and a second pair of rollers coupled to a second side of the frame. The second pair of rollers is configured to support a second end of a pipe reel. The system also includes a second cradle disposed longitudinally between the second pair of rollers, a pipe guide coupled to a third side of the frame between the first and second sides, a pipe brake coupled to the frame, and a pipe re-spooler coupled to the frame.

CABLE STORAGE AND HANDLING SYSTEMS AND METHODS
An assembly and method for deploying, retrieving, and storing a cable having a minimum bend radius onto a drum. The assembly may comprise a frame, a rotatable drum carried by the frame, a levelwind carried by the frame, and a powertrain. The levelwind may comprise a rail spanning at least the width of the drum, and a traversable carriage carried by the rail. The levelwind may also comprise a cable guide carried by the carriage, where the cable guide comprises an elongated chute having contoured walls. The contoured walls of the chute include no bends having a radius less than the minimum bend radius of the cable. The powertrain may be operatively connected to rotate the drum about the drum axis and traverse the carriage along the rail. In some examples, the contoured walls of the chute are coated with a supplmentary coating.
UNREELING APPARATUS AND METHOD
In order to increase the operational safety of an unreeling apparatus and an unreeling method at high working speed, an unreeling apparatus for unreeling a ring of wire along a pull-off direction, having at least two reel crowns, which can each be brought into a pull-off position and into a preparation position and/or loading position by way of a displacement device, includes a safety apparatus having an overload safety device and having a safety guide track, which has a directional component that faces in the pull-off direction and acts independently of the other reel crown, at least for the reel crown situated in the pull-off position, wherein the overload safety device holds the reel crown situated in the pull-off position in the pull-off position and, in the event of an overload, releases the reel crown situated in the pull-off position into the safety guide track.
FILAMENT CONTAINER
A filament container for housing a spool of filament comprising a base and a lid that define an inner volume. The lid rotatably attached to the base and moveable between a closed position, wherein the inner volume is substantially sealed, and an open position, wherein the inner volume is accessible. First and second horizontal shafts are supported rotatably within the inner volume, parallel to and spaced from one another a distance, and rotatable about a respective longitudinal axis. The first and second horizontal shafts are adapted to support a spool of filament vertically within the inner volume and to allow the spool of filament to freely rotate about a horizontal axis that is parallel to and spaced from the longitudinal axis of each of the first and second horizontal shafts as filament is pulled from the spool and out of the filament container.
