The present disclosure describes a cable reel. The cable reel may include a hollow core having a width; a first wall coupled to an end of the core and extending radially outward a distance from the core, the first wall comprising an opening aligned with the hollow core and at least one support member extending across the opening; and a second wall coupled to an opposing end of the core and extending radially outwardly a distance from the core, the second wall comprising an opening aligned with the hollow core; wherein the first wall and the second wall form a gap therebetween equal to the width of the core, the gap being configured to hold a length of excess cable wrapped around the core. A moulded fibrous end plug (3) and dispenser system comprising the same, the end plug for use in mounting a roll of sheet material to a dispenser and having a roll facing side comprising formations configured to be insertable into an opening in an end of a roll of sheet material and for securing the end plug to the roll of sheet material, the end plug further comprising an opposite dispenser facing side comprising formations configured to cooperate with formations of a roll holder portion of a dispenser in use for mounting the end plug to the dispenser. The formations of the roll facing side configured to be insertable into the opening in the end of the roll of sheet material include a plurality of domes (7). The formations of the roll facing side for securing the end plug to the roll of sheet material include protuberances (26) configured to provide an interference fit securing the end plug to the roll.

Disclosed is a web handling system that includes a spindle having a spindle magnetic coupling portion and a roll core configured for receiving the spindle for mounting thereon and having a roll magnetic coupling portion, wherein the spindle and roll magnetic coupling portions are configured for magnetically attracting each other to hold the roll on the spindle.

The present disclosure relates to an apparatus for accommodating copper foil. The apparatus includes an accommodation body having an accommodation space which accommodates copper foil wound on a core, a support portion coupled to the accommodation body and configured to support both ends of the core, and an elastic member disposed between the support portion and the core and configured to support the core. Here, the elastic member includes a body portion, a plurality of first protrusions arranged on a top surface of the body portion and extending in a longitudinal direction of the core, and a plurality of second protrusions arranged on a bottom surface of the body portion and extending in a direction perpendicular to the extending direction of the plurality of first protrusions. Accordingly, vibrations may be buffered in a frequency band of vibrations occurring in a transportation process.

A tension-inducing shaft system includes a shaft, two shaft caps, and a biasing mechanism. A bore extends through the shaft between two ends of the shaft. The shaft caps are positioned on the two ends of the shaft. Each shaft cap includes a collar having a size that is larger than the bore, a keyed end, and an anchor. The biasing mechanism is arranged inside the bore and is coupled to the anchors of the shaft caps so that the biasing mechanism exerts inward forces on the shaft cap. The keyed ends of the shaft caps can be coupled to a housing so that the shaft caps do not rotate with respect to the housing. The shaft is configured to rotate with respect to the shaft caps such that, when the keyed ends are coupled to the housing, the shaft is capable of rotating with respect to the housing.

A tape dispensing system, including: a first roll cartridge including a hub with a first axial side and a second axial side opposite the first side; a first twist-lock connector integral with the first axial side of the hub a second twist-lock connector integral with the second axial side of the hub; a tape cutter extending radially from the hub; and a second roll cartridge substantially identical to the first roll cartridge, the first twist-lock connector of the second roll cartridge mates with the second twist lock connector of the first roll cartridge.

A manually-operated dunnage conversion apparatus includes a housing, a support mounted in the housing and configured to support a supply of sheet material for dispensing from the dunnage conversion apparatus, and one or both of (a) a guide member mounted in the housing downstream of the support and providing a resilient surface across which the sheet material may be drawn to restrict tearing of the sheet material as it is drawn from the dunnage conversion apparatus, and (b) a tensioning assembly mounted in the housing and configured to apply a compressive force between opposite axial sides of the housing to control the force necessary to dispense the supply of sheet material. Except for the tensioning assembly, the apparatus may be made of paper-based products, making the apparatus recyclable, reusable, and composed of a renewable resource, as well as inexpensive to manufacture.

A roll support device includes: a shaft portion that supports a center hole of a rolled medium in which a medium is wound; a first guide member with which one end surface of the rolled medium in an axial direction of the shaft portion is in contact; a second guide member that is provided on the shaft portion and regulates, in the axial direction, an inner peripheral side of another end surface of the rolled medium in the axial direction; and a third guide member that regulates, in the axial direction, an outer peripheral side of the other end surface of the rolled medium supported by the shaft portion.
