Safety brake for telescopic mast of several segments
Safety brake for multi-segment telescopic mast of the type used in masts of lighting, surveillance or communication towers, having at least one retractable reel fixed jointly on the top of an external segment of the telescopic mast of the lighting, surveillance or communication tower, in which a tape, or rope is wound, terminated by its free end in a fixing piece, fixed jointly on the inner lower part of an internal segment of the telescopic mast, passing the tape, or rope in the gap between both segments, providing the retractable reel for winding and unwinding the belt, or rope, having to detect an acceleration greater than a preset in the removal of the tape, or rope, and having to block the tape, or rope in case of acceleration greater than a preset in the removal of the tape, or rope.
Drive mechanism for automated footwear platform
Systems and apparatus related to automated tightening of a footwear platform including a lacing engine drive apparatus are discussed. In an example, a drive apparatus to rotate a lace spool of a motorized lacing engine within a footwear platform can include a gear motor, a gear box, a worm drive, and a worm gear. The gear box can be mechanically coupled to the gear motor, and the gear box can include a drive shaft extending opposite the gear motor. The worm drive can be slidably keyed to the drive shaft to control rotation of the worm drive in response to gear motor activation. The worm gear can rotate the lace spool upon rotation of the worm drive to tighten or loosen a lace cable on the footwear platform.
Methods for Rooftop Fabric Dispensing Apparatus
Machines and related methods are disclosed for dispensing a rolled fabric over spaced support beams of a roof and for holding the fabric firmly in place over such beams to protect workers from falling through the gaps between the beams. The machines may include one, some, or all of several different components and features to enhance the system's overall operation and effectiveness. One aspect relates to a hub brake used to help prevent unwinding of the fabric roll in the event of a fall. Another aspect relates to a magnetic brake to help keep the machine from sliding across the support beams in the event of a fall. Another aspect relates to a guide assembly that engages a support beam with a one-directional bearing to also help keep the machine from sliding in the event of a fall.

ADJUSTABLE RELOADABLE CABLE REEL
A reel for storing a cable coil includes first and second facing flanges. First, second and third cylindrical rods define a hub and have first ends attached to the first flange and opposite, second ends extending through holes formed in the second flange. A guidepost has a first end attached to the first flange and a second end passing through an opening in the second flange. A lock set allows a distance between the first and second flanges to be selected. Attachment positions of the first ends of the cylindrical rods to the first flange are manually or automatically adjustable to change a diameter of the hub. Bushings within end openings of the guidepost control the rotation payout speed of the reel, and a parking park feature is provided at the second end of the guidepost to block rotation of the reel.
