Composition for inhibition of insect host sensing
The present invention provide chemical modulators of insect olfactory receptors. In particular, compounds and compositions are provided that can inhibit host targeting functions in insects such as mosquitos. Method of employing such agents, and articles incorporating the same, are also provided.
Pest control and detection system with conductive bait matrix
A pest control and detection system generally includes an electrically conductive bait matrix including at least one carrier material that is at least one of palatable, a phagostimulant, consumable, and displaceable by pests, and a plurality of electrically conductive particles. The electrically conductive particles are substantially randomly interspersed throughout the at least one carrier material. The at least one carrier material includes at least one of a thermoplastic material and a resin.
Insect Bait Stake
An insect bait stake comprises a container defining an internal cavity adapted to hold a quantity of liquid bait. The container includes a first housing defining a first portion of the internal cavity, a second housing attached to the first housing and defining a second portion of the internal cavity, and a tab portion adapted to be removed for exposing the internal cavity to the exterior environment. A first anti-crushing element is arranged within the internal cavity and between the first housing and the second housing. The anti-crushing element fixes a distance between the first housing and the second housing in response to a compressive force placed on the container. A passageway is formed by the container and is in communication with the internal cavity on a first end thereof. The passageway extends through at least one of the first housing or the second housing to the tab portion.
Repellent delivery device with glycerin soap body and related methods
A repellent delivery device may include a body having a hygroscopic base material, and one or more of an insecticide, and an insect repellent. The repellent delivery device may have a support structure coupled between the body and a trunk of a plant. The body may be configured to release the one or more of the insecticide and the insect repellant into a root ball of the plant using ambient moisture.
Dual action lethal containers, systems, methods and compositions for killing adult mosquitos and larvae
Dual action lethal containers, systems, methods, compositions and formulas used to kill mosquitoes and their larvae. The containers can have separate interior larvicidal and adulticidal coatings separated from each other by horizontal water line holes in the container. Another container can use a novel combined coating of a larvicidal and adulticidal coating. Unique compositions of adulticidal coatings, larvicidal coatings and combined adulticidal and larvicidal coatings can be used as liners.
INSECT-TRAPPING HORTICULTURAL COVER, SYSTEM AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURE
An adhesive pest trap is provided, that includes: a substantially planar substrate having first and second substantially parallel surfaces and an outer perimeter, wherein the first surface includes a non-drying adhesive material coating, and wherein the outer perimeter is configured for fitting within a rim of a plant growing container. In one example, an adhesive pest trap can be adapted to cover a soil surface in a plant growing container, where a perimeter of the adhesive pest trap additionally includes one or more attachable surfaces adapted for attachment to a rim of a plant growing container. A related method of using an adhesive pest trap includes applying the adhesive pest trap over a top surface of a plant growing medium in a plant growing container.
INSECTICIDE DISPENSING DEVICE AND METHOD
Insecticide dispensing devices and methods of the present technology provide for the prolonged release of insecticide for the eradication of insect populations. Insecticide dispensing devices include an attractive toxic sugar bait, and have a housing configured with at least one aperture to allow a gaseous compound to exit the internal cavity and sized to allow entry of a target insect into the internal cavity. Methods of insecticide dispensing include activating the attractive toxic sugar bait in the device, and placing the activated device in an area where insects are present.
Sexual attraction pheromone of tribolium castaneum and insect control device
A sexual attraction pheromone exclusively obtained from Tribolium castaneum male insects, a method to obtain said pheromone and a device useful for controlling insects in grain silos are disclosed. The device comprises an outer shell, a membrane impregnated with the sexual attraction pheromone and a nucleus containing an insecticide formulation comprising effective amount of an isolated microsclerotia of Beauveria bassiana and an agronomically acceptable carrier.
REPELLENT DELIVERY DEVICE WITH GLYCERIN SOAP BODY AND RELATED METHODS
A plant repellent delivery device assembly may include a plant with a root ball, and an integrally molded hygroscopic body having a hygroscopic glycerin soap base material, and an insecticide. The integrally molded hygroscopic body may have an external surface directly exposed to an external environment and configured to condense ambient moisture directly thereon. The plant repellent delivery device assembly may include a support structure coupled between the integrally molded hygroscopic body and a trunk of the plant, the support structure extending within the integrally molded hygroscopic body. The integrally molded hygroscopic body may be configured to release the insecticide into the root ball of the plant using the ambient moisture.
