Image forming apparatus
An image forming apparatus configured to form images on a first surface and a second surface of a sheet includes an apparatus body, an image forming unit, a feed tray, and a return unit configured to return the sheet having an image formed on the first surface of the sheet toward the image forming unit. The return unit includes a first guide, a second guide, and an adjuster. The first guide is detachably attached to the second guide and includes a first roller and a positioned portion. The second guide is positioned in the apparatus body and includes a second roller facing the first roller, and a positioning portion configured to contact the positioned portion of the first guide, thereby positioning the first guide relative to the second guide. The adjuster is configured to adjust an orientation of the second guide relative to the apparatus body.
Winder for an endless material web
The present invention relates to a method and a device for producing a roll (18) made of a material web (5) of flexible material which is guided via a contact roller (19) of a winder and is wound in the said winder to form a roll (18), wherein the contact roller (19) maintains contact with the roll (18) during winding and the wrap angle () of the material web (5) passing over the contact roller (19), as the former is progressively wound, is maintained throughout at a variable reference value predetermined for each winding. In this way the wrap angle () for the winding can be adapted to the respective composition of the material web (5), which improves the quality of the winding.
FEED APPARATUS AND IMAGE RECORDING APPARATUS
There is provided a feed apparatus including a support unit, a feed roller, a swingable arm to support the feed roller, a guide unit, a movable member movable to a retracted position and a protruding position at which the movable member can abut against the sheet supported by the support unit, a driving source, driving transmission units; and a contact-separating mechanism to move the feed roller to a separated position and an abutment position at which the feed roller abuts against the sheet supported by the support unit. In a state in which the movable member is the protruding position and the feed roller is the separated position, a time required to start feeding of the sheet by the feed roller moved from the separated position to the abutment position is longer than a time required to shift the movable member from the protruding position to the retracted position.
TOOL AND METHOD FOR SEPARATING AND PICKING CUT PIECES OF FLEXIBLE MATERIALS
The disclosure relates to a method and apparatus that separates and efficiently captures from an automated cutting table select pieces of thin, flexible material in an orderly manner which prevents damage to the selected piece while preventing the undesired lifting or movement of the surrounding material. The apparatus comprises a pick head assembly including a cylinder with a plurality of orifices that communicates with the selected piece to maintain contact between the selected piece and the cylindrical surface while the selected piece is being removed.
Sheet feeder capable of suppressing increase in size
A sheet feeder includes: a first roller; a separation member; a shutter; a pressing portion; and a cam portion. The separation member contacts the first roller at a contact position. An axis of the shutter is positioned downstream of the separation member in a conveying direction. The shutter is movable between first and second positions. The shutter in the first position has a portion positioned upstream of the contact position in the conveying direction. The pressing portion is positioned upstream of the separation member and the shutter in the first position in the conveying direction. The pressing portion is movable between third and fourth positions. The pressing portion in the third position faces the first roller. The pressing portion in the fourth position is separated from the first roller farther than in the third position. The cam portion is positioned upstream of the pressing portion in the conveying direction.
Sheet supporting apparatus and image forming apparatus
A sheet supporting apparatus includes an apparatus body, a supporting unit being capable of being drawn from and inserted to the apparatus body, and having a supporting member on which a sheet is supported, a conveyance guide disposed on the apparatus body and being capable of moving to a first position at which a sheet conveyance path is constituted, and a second position distant from the first position, and a regulation unit. The regulation unit regulates the conveyance guide positioned at the second position from moving in an upward direction, a downward direction, a drawing direction and an inserting direction of a supporting unit.
MEDIA LOADING
According to an example, a roller assembly for media loading comprises a fixed frame, a plurality of parallel rollers that protrude from a bottom surface of the fixed frame, and a coupling member to mechanically coupled the fixed frame to a reference surface, wherein each roller of the plurality of rollers is rotatably coupled to the fixed frame and is movable with respect to the bottom surface of the fixed frame.
CONVEYOR HAVING OPPOSED UPPER AND LOWER DECKS AND LATERALLY SHIFTABLE LOWER DECK
A conveyor for transporting sheets along a path from an input end to a discharge end includes a main frame, an upper conveyor deck supported by the main frame and having a plurality of belts and a lower conveyor deck supported by the main frame and having a plurality of wheels supported by a plurality of shafts. The transport path is defined by the contact surfaces of the plurality of belts in the first contact region and the contact surfaces of the plurality of wheels in the second contact region, and the conveyor is configured such that the sheets make direct contact with the contact surfaces of the plurality of belts and make direct contact with the contact surfaces of the plurality of wheels when the sheets move along the transport path. The lower conveyor deck is shiftable laterally relative to the upper conveyor deck.
SHEET CONVEYING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A reversing unit has a drive roller, a discharge roller for forming a first nip portion N1 together with the drive roller, and a conveyance roller for forming a second nip portion together with the drive roller. The reversing unit moves any one of the rollers and nips a sheet at a plurality of nip portions when moving the roller to switch the nip portion for nipping a sheet from a first nip portion to a second nip portion and change the sheet conveyance direction from a first direction to a second direction.
Sheet material feeding apparatus
A sheet material feeding apparatus includes a first roll 106, and a second roll 108 arranged vertically below first roll 106, to feed a sheet material clamped between the first roll 106 and the second roll 108. The sheet material feeding apparatus further includes a first motor 102 provided with a rotatable first motor shaft 104 coupled to the first roll 106, and a second motor 103 provided with a rotatable second motor shaft 105 coupled to the second roll 108. The first motor shaft 104 and the second motor shaft 105 rotate at substantially the same rotation speed to allow the first roll 106 and the second roll 108 to rotate in synchronization with each other.
