Continuous body folding device and folding method
A continuous body folding device includes a conveying part having a moving surface that moves while suctioning and holding a first region of a continuous body, the conveying part conveying the continuous body in the longitudinal direction thereof; a first folding reference part in which a first endless belt, which moves in a first circulatory pathway along a first virtual plane including the moving surface, moves along a first reference segment adjacent to a virtual line of the continuous body in the same direction at the same speed as the moving surface; and first guiding members that are disposed along the first reference segment, contact a second region of the continuous body, and fold the continuous body along the virtual line and move the second region toward the first region so that the angle formed by the first and second regions becomes smaller as the continuous body is conveyed downstream.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR SEPARATING BLANKS FROM A STACK OF BLANKS
An apparatus for separating blanks from a stack of blanks includes a drive shaft that interacts with the drive unit and that drives a belt arranged in a cassette. The drive shaft is neither enclosed nor carried by the cassette. A reversible securing means secures the cassette to a carrying structure of the apparatus in a detachable manner in such a way that the cassette can be repeatedly removed or detached and then refitted.
Image forming apparatus
An image forming apparatus includes a belt conveyance device that corrects leaning of an endless belt member, the belt conveyance device being detachably attachable to an apparatus body of the image forming apparatus; a first guiding portion that supports a first guided portion provided in a frame member supporting rotatably a first roller on which the belt member is laid under tension and guides the belt conveyance device being attached to or detached from the apparatus body; and a second guiding portion that supports a second guided portion provided in a steering unit supporting rotatably a second roller on which the belt member is laid under tension, releases the second guided portion at an attachment position of the belt conveyance device to the apparatus body, and guides the belt conveyance device being attached to or detached from the apparatus body.
WEB CONVEYING DEVICE
A web conveying device configured to convey a web and rewind the web into a roll includes: a moving roller arranged between a send-in port for the web and a rewinding roll which is the web rolled, the moving roller configured to be movable in an up-down direction to apply tension to the web or release the tension; and a controller configured to perform control of moving the moving roller to an upper limit position in the up-down direction in an operation of stopping conveyance of the web.
Packaging apparatus
A packaging apparatus includes a controller configured to control operation of a first conveyance unit, a second conveyance unit, a first moving unit, a second moving unit, and a cutting unit. The controller, after causing the cutting unit to cut a film, causes at least either one of a first clamp unit and a second clamp unit to clamp the cut film and controls operation of at least either one of the first moving unit and the second moving unit so that the distance between the first conveyance unit and the second conveyance unit in a second direction changes.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR AUTOMATICALLY BINDING PRINTED TEXTILE PANELS, OR PRINTED TEXTILE PANELS WITH FLEXIBLE MATERIAL STRIPS
The present disclosure relates to a device for automatically binding two or more printed textile panels along a lateral edge of said panels and/or binding a printed textile panel or panels with a flexible material strip along a lateral edge of said panel or panels, said device comprising a sewing head, a puller for pulling the printed textile panel or panels into the sewing head, and a gripper holding system comprising a plurality of grippers for gripping a portion of a lateral edge of the printed textile panel or panels to maintain alignment as the printed textile panel or panels are pulled into said puller.
Method for rolling up definite lengths of mats in unidirectional rolled rolls, and a mat rolling station for performing the method
Method for rolling up definite lengths of a mats in a unidirectional rolled roll, where mats are advanced one after another into a rolling mechanism in flattened out condition and released from the mechanism in rolled up condition. A rolled up mat is ejected from the rolling mechanism and caused to roll out therefrom on top of a succeeding flattened out mat which advances towards the rolling mechanism. A mat rolling station for performing the method is provided, where a ramp conveyer is provided which advances a flattened mat towards the rolling mechanism. At the rolling mechanism, bending conveyers are provided for advancing the forwardly moving mat sections into a circular bend on the ramp conveyer. A difference of surface speeds of the bending conveyers and the ramp conveyer is controllable by a signal provoked by the advance of a succeeding mat on the ramp conveyer before the rolling mechanism.
Systems and methods for parent roll tail reduction
Described herein are methods and systems for reducing the tail on a parent roll. The system may comprise a web tail extending from a parent roll supported by an unwind stand. The system may further comprise one or more nozzles positioned below the web tail and configured to facilitate the rewinding of the web tail about the parent roll. The web tail may be rewound about the parent roll in a direction opposite to that which the web was initially wound about the parent roll. As a result, the length of the web tail extending from the parent roll may be reduced and is less likely to lengthen as the parent roll is ejected from the unwind stand.
Medium processing apparatus and image forming system incorporating same
A medium processing apparatus includes a conveyor, a receptacle, a liquid applier, and a crimper. The conveyor conveys a medium. The receptacle holds the medium conveyed by the conveyor. The liquid applier is disposed upstream from the receptacle in a conveyance direction of the medium to apply liquid to a liquid application position on the medium conveyed by the conveyor. The crimper presses and deforms the liquid application position on a plurality of media including the medium held on the receptacle to bind the plurality of media.
SHEET DETECTION CIRCUIT USING ELECTRICAL ELEMENTS CONTACTING CONDUCTIVE VACUUM BELT
Devices include electrically conductive elements contacting a vacuum belt, and a voltage source connected to the electrically conductive elements. The electrically conductive elements form an electrical circuit from the voltage source, through the belt, and back to the voltage source. The electrically conductive elements are positioned so that they are separated from the belt when the belt moves the sheets of media between the electrically conductive elements and the belt. A processor is capable of identifying leading edges of the sheets of media on the belt (when voltage of the electrical circuit changes from a relatively higher voltage to a relatively lower voltage) and identifying trailing edges of the sheets of media on the belt (when the voltage of the electrical circuit changes from the relatively lower voltage back to the relatively higher voltage).
