A sheet feeding apparatus includes a casing; a sheet stacking unit rotatable between a closing position and first and second opening positions; a sheet feeding unit; a link unit provided with a slidable engaging portion; and a spring. The sheet stacking unit includes a first guide; and a second guide branching from the first guide. The first guide includes a first portion, a first supporting portion, and a second portion. The second guide includes a second supporting portion. The engaging portion is guided from the second guide to the first portion of the first guide by the sheet stacking unit being closed from the second opening position, and the engaging portion is guided from the first portion of the first guide to the second portion by way of the branch portion by the sheet stacking unit being opened from the closed state.

A sheet feeding device includes a sheet accommodating portion mounted in a main assembly. With respect to a crossing direction perpendicularly crossing a pulling-out direction of the sheet accommodating portion from the main assembly as viewed in a direction of gravitation, the main assembly is provided with a positioning portion. A member-to-be-engaged is provided in one of the main assembly and the sheet accommodating portion. An engaging member is provided in the other of the main assembly and the sheet accommodating portion. The engaging member is elastically deformed when the sheet accommodating portion is pulled out in the pulling-out direction from a mounting position. The engaging member is provided swingably in the other one of the main assembly and the sheet accommodating portion so as to be capable of changing a position thereof with respect to the crossing direction.

To enable placement of a regulating member which regulates a position of an end of a paper sheet at a desired position, and stable sheet feeding. A fixing member for standard size (33) is guided to engage with a fixing hole for standard size (42) and, in a state where the fixing member for standard size (33) positions a trailing end regulator (24), a fixing member for non-standard size (34) does not engage with a rack gear (43).

A sheet storing cassette includes a cassette base, a sheet stacking plate, a cursor rail, a regulation cursor, and an adjustment member. The regulation cursor has a first regulating portion which forms a first sheet regulating face for positioning the sheets placed on the sheet stacking plate in the sheet feeding direction. The cursor rail has a plurality of engaged portions with which an engaging portion provided on the regulation cursor meshes when the regulation cursor is moved such that the first sheet regulating face is arranged at standard-size positions corresponding to a standard-size sheet. The adjustment member has a second regulating portion that offsets, when the adjustment member is attached to the regulation cursor arranged at one of standard-size positions, the first sheet regulating face to a second sheet regulating face corresponding to a non-standard size sheet.

There is provided with a sheet feeding apparatus. A biasing unit generates a biasing force of biasing a storage unit in an insertion direction. A repulsive unit generates a repulsive force of biasing the storage unit in a direction opposite to the insertion direction. A fixing unit fixes the storage unit in a fixing position. The biasing unit starts generating the biasing force in a repulsion start position where the repulsive unit starts generating the repulsive force, or on an upstream side of the repulsion start position, in the insertion direction, and stops generating the biasing force before the storage unit reaches the fixing position. A biasing Zone in which the biasing unit generates the biasing force and a repulsive zone in which the repulsive unit generates the repulsive force partially overlap each other.

There is provided a sheet storage device including a regulation unit that includes a first contact portion configured to contact a stacking unit, and a second contact portion configured to contact a facing member. The first contact portion contacts the stacking unit in a state of being urged toward the stacking unit. The second contact portion contacts the facing member in a state of being urged toward the facing member.

A feeding device includes a first feeding unit, a second feeding unit, and a fixing structure. The first feeding unit feeds a first recording medium. The second feeding unit is located below the first feeding unit and feeds a second recording medium. The fixing structure takes a first posture or a second posture differing from the first posture. The fixing structure fixes the second feeding unit to the first feeding unit when the fixing structure is in the first posture. The fixing structure fixes the second feeding unit to the first feeding unit by fixing a third frame member of the second feeding unit to a second frame member of the first feeding unit. When the fixing structure is in the second posture, the fixing structure releases linkage between the second feeding unit and the first feeding unit.

A sheet supporting apparatus includes a first lock portion supported movably with respect to an apparatus body between a first locking position where the first lock portion locks a retention portion at a retaining position and a first releasing position where the first lock portion releases a lock of the retention portion and the first lock portion, a second lock portion supported movably with respect to the apparatus body between a second locking position where the second lock portion locks the first lock portion at the first locking position and a second releasing position where the second lock portion releases a lock of the first lock portion and the second lock portion, and a regulation portion provided on a sheet supporting portion, and configured to abut against the second lock portion positioned at the second locking position and regulate a movement of the second lock portion to the second releasing position in a state where the sheet supporting portion is attached to the apparatus body.

Disclosed is a sheet stacking apparatus which includes a first stacking portion on which a sheet is stacked, a second stacking portion which is movable with respect to the first stacking portion, a third stacking portion which is detachably attachable to the first stacking portion or the second stacking portion and a restricting portion which restricts disengagement of the third stacking portion which has been attached. The second stacking portion is movable such that the second stacking portion is located at a first position where the restricting portion does not restrict disengagement of the third stacking portion and a second position where the restricting portion restricts disengagement of the third stacking portion which has been attached.

A cassette drawing-in device in an embodiment includes a lever, a guide section, and an urging member. The lever includes an engaging groove opened on a first side in a first direction. The engaging groove includes an entrance for a cassette pin at an end portion in a longitudinal direction. The cassette pin projects to a second side in the first direction from a cassette. The cassette is capable of moving in a second direction orthogonal to the first direction. The lever rotates around the rotation axis to thereby draw in, in the second direction, the cassette pin engaging in the engaging groove. The guide section is formed in the entrance of the engaging groove and guides the cassette pin to the first side in the first direction. The urging member urges the lever to the first side in the first direction.
