A module, the module including: a first side, a second side, a top, and a bottom; an output port on the first side to feed medium to a side port of an imaging device; a communication port to communicate with the imaging device; and an intake port on the bottom of the module to receive medium from a first medium storage tray.

The document conveying apparatus includes a body, a document tray, a guiding tray, a first support member that supports the document tray movably between a open position where a document is placed on the first document stacking face, and a close position where the document tray is closed, and a second support member that supports the guiding tray. The second support member positions the guiding tray at a first distance from the document tray, when the document tray is at the open position. The second support member positions the guiding tray at a second distance from the document tray, when the document tray is at the close position. The second distance is smaller than the first distance.

A paper sheet recycling and printing apparatus includes a paper sheet recycling section which manufactures a recycled paper sheet; a printing section which prints recording information on a recording target medium including the recycled paper sheet; a plurality of recycled paper sheet storage sections including a first recycled paper sheet storage section and a second recycled paper sheet storage section in which the recycled paper sheet is stored; a recycled paper sheet supply section which supplies the recycled paper sheet from the paper sheet recycling section to the recycled paper sheet storage section; and a transport section which transports the recording target medium to the printing section. The transport section transports the recycled paper sheet stored in the first recycled paper sheet storage section to the printing section, and the recycled paper sheet supply section supplies the recycled paper sheet to the second recycled paper sheet storage section.

An image forming apparatus includes an image forming section, a discharging roller pair, a plurality of trays, a guide member, and a controller. The image forming section forms an image on each of a plurality of sheets. The discharging roller pair discharges each of the sheets. The sheets discharged by the discharging roller pair are to be stacked on the trays (first through third trays). The guide member guides each of the sheets from the discharging roller pair toward a discharge destination tray among the plurality of trays. Every time the discharging roller pair discharges one of the sheets, the controller controls the guide member to change the discharge destination tray. The trays are configured such that leading ends of the sheets are superposed on one another.

A printing apparatus includes a printing unit that performs printing on a medium, an apparatus main body that houses the printing unit therein and that has outer surfaces including an upper surface and a front surface that adjoiningly intersects the upper surface, a paper feed port that is provided on the upper surface of the apparatus main body and that enables the medium to be fed into the apparatus main body, a feed path that is guiding the medium fed from the paper feed port toward the printing unit and that has a curved portion for inverting the medium during the guiding, a pair of rollers that are provided at the upstream of the curved portion and that feed the medium toward the printing unit via the feed path by rotating while nipping the medium fed from the paper feed port from both front and rear sides.

In an image forming apparatus, a tray having first and second receiving portions is configured to move between a first position, at which at least part of the tray is positioned inside an apparatus body, and a second position, at which the tray is outside the apparatus body. The tray in the first position allows a first recording medium to be conveyed from the first receiving portion. When the tray is in the first position, the second receiving portion is configured to move between a third position, which is at an upstream side relative to a first opening of the apparatus body in a second direction, and a fourth position, which is at a downstream side relative to the third position in the second direction. The second receiving portion at the third position allows a second recording medium to be conveyed from the second receiving portion in the second direction.

An image forming apparatus includes an optional device, a casing, an image forming section and a sheet conveyor device. The optional device performs optional processing. The image forming section is located inside of the casing and forms an image on a sheet. The sheet conveyor device conveys, to the optional device, the sheet with an image formed thereon by the image forming section. The optional device and the casing are fixed to each other. The sheet conveyor device is fixed to the optional device and the casing.

A printer having front-end paper feeding and front-end paper outputting and being capable of changing a paper discharge path, said printer comprising a housing (10) and a paper discharge unit (40), the paper discharge unit (40) comprising a first paper discharge mechanism (401) and a paper discharge channel (50) which consists of upper and lower casings (1011, 1012), a front end surface of the housing (10) being a vertical flat surface A, a paper feed port (30) and a paper output port (20) being horizontally arranged on the flat surface A, the paper feed port (30) being located beneath the paper output port (20), the paper discharge channel (50) at the front of the first paper discharge mechanism (401) being provided with a paper conveyance system capable of changing a paper discharge path.

In an example implementation, a stackable component assembly includes a first stackable component with a bottom recess in its bottom surface, and a second stackable component with a top recess in its top surface. A first alignment element is installed in the bottom recess and a second alignment element is installed in the top recess. The second alignment element is nestable within the first alignment element to align the first and second stackable components upon stacking the first stackable component onto the second stackable component.

A printing apparatus includes a media bin and a sensor, directed toward the media bin, having a first emitter and a receiver. The printing apparatus further includes a second emitter to emit photons toward the optical sensor, and a controller. The controller determines presence of a print media on the media bin based on a count of photons received from a source other than the first emitter, including the second emitter.
