Veneer feeder head
A veneer feeder head used to peel a veneer sheet from a stack of veneer. A stationary head and an actuating head both contact the top veneer sheet and the actuating head moves into a peel state, where the one portion of the top veneer sheet is raised higher than another portion of the top veneer sheet. This peeling action separates the top veneer sheet from the next veneer sheet in the stack of veneer.
DEVICE FOR GRASPING INSERT SHEETS, LOADING DEVICE, STATION FOR RECEIVING BLANKS AND MACHINE FOR PROCESSING ELEMENTS IN THE FORM OF SHEETS
The invention relates to an insert-sheet pick-up device (13) for an insert-sheet loading device (10) of a station for receiving copy (500). The pick-up device (13) includes a suction element (20) configured to pick up an insert sheet. The pick-up device (13) includes a pivoting axis (30) and at least one telescopic arm (33) including a proximal arm (33a), one end of which is fixed to the pivoting axis (30), and a distal arm (33b), able to move with respect to the proximal arm (33a), and one end of which is pivot-articulated to the suction element (20) to move the suction element (20) between a raised position and a lowered position according to a vertical movement of the suction element (20). Also, the invention also relates to an insert-sheet loading device, a copy-receiving station and a machine for processing elements in sheet form including the insert-sheet pick-up device.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR CUTTING OFF AND PROVIDING A FILM PART UNIT FROM A FOOD PACKAGING FILM STRIP
The present invention proposes a device (1) that saves time and costs and is reliable and gentle on material for cutting off and providing a film part unit (20) from a food-packaging film strip (7), comprising a cutting station (2) which is adapted to intermittently cut off film part units (20) from a food-packaging film strip (7) which intermittently passes through the cutting station (2) in a conveying direction (5), characterized in that the cutting station (2) is adapted to pre-cut a film part unit (20) in one working step, where the film part unit (20) remains connected to the film strip (7), and to cut off from the film strip (7) a film part unit (20) that adjoins in the conveying direction (5) and has already been pre-cut in a preceding working step. The invention also relates to a corresponding method.
Method for making an electronic product with flexible substrate
A method for making an electronic product. The method includes processing a flexible substrate (e.g., a web) with the use of a tensioner having a vacuum plate and an indexer that intermittently moves the flexible substrate for processing. While a designated location of the flexible substrate is stopped at a processing location, a process is performed on the designated location. Wherein while the designated location is stopped at the processing location, the vacuum plate of the tensioner moves in an opposite direction of the transport direction.
Envelope feeder with selective suction cup assist
The novel solution provides a method for feeding of individual envelopes from a stack of envelopes in a hopper for an inserter machine. At the downstream end of the hopper, a friction feeder serially feeds individual envelopes from the stack. A suction cup is selectively actuated to engage with the envelope to pull a leading portion of the envelope away from the stack to assist the friction feeder in feeding envelopes. Selective actuation is based on monitoring downstream movement of fed envelopes. The suction cup is engaged when the envelopes travel a shorter distance than would be expected based on the movement of the feeder.
Method for Unstacking Veneer Sheets
A method for unstacking veneer sheets (14), in which an uppermost sheet (14a) of a stack (12) is taken off the stack by using a suction device (24) of a movable gripper, and the sheet is then transferred onto a conveyor (16) and is transported away, wherein the sheet (14a), after the sheet has been lifted by a first gripper (22), is transferred to a second gripper (32), which transfers the sheet to the conveyor (16).
ARRANGEMENT AND METHOD FOR HANDLING PAPER ELEMENTS
An arrangement (100) for handling flat elements (202), in particular paper elements (202). A guiding structure (101) is provided, along which a flat element (202) is guidable and transportable along a transport direction (T). A hold-down element (102) is coupled to the guiding structure (101) for holding down the flat element (202) to the guiding structure (101). The hold-down element (102) has a support section (103) on which the flat element (202) is supportable. The hold-down element (102) extends along an extending direction (116) having a component perpendicular to the transport direction (T), wherein suction holes (104) are arranged along the extending direction (116). A suction unit (110) includes a suction opening (111) coupled to the suction holes (104) of the hold-down element (102), an air inlet (112) and an air outlet (113), wherein the suction unit (110) directs air from the air inlet (112) to the air outlet (113) for generating an air flow (114). The suction opening (111) is formed and arranged such that the air flow (114) passes the suction opening (111) so that air flow (114) entrains air through the suction opening (111).
APPARATUS TO OVERTURN SHEETS AND/OR PANELS
In an apparatus for overturning sheets and/or panels, a bearing structure carries a loading plane, and roto-translation means vertically translate the loading plane and rotate the same with respect to an axis. A grab device carried by the loading plane serves to transfer a sheet and/or panel from a supply station, when stopped upstream of the apparatus, on an operating surface. A command and control unit in alternatively activating and de-activating the roto-translation means, the stabilization and transfer and the grab device, defines for the loading plane a collection position, an overturning position and an unloading position of a sheet and/or panel to be overturned by the supply station placed upstream of the apparatus, over an unloading station downstream of the apparatus.
HANDLING OF STACKED SUBSTRATES
A pneumatic device for transporting a substrate during a manufacturing operation is described. The pneumatic device can include multiple suction assemblies for securely coupling the substrate to the pneumatic device. The vertical position of the suction assemblies can be varied so that when vacuum is applied through the suction assemblies to the substrate, the substrate is in a bent configuration when secured to the pneumatic device. When the pneumatic device is used to lift the substrate off a stack of other substrates, the bending of the substrate reduces the surface area contact and likelihood of inadvertently removing additional substrates from the stack of substrates.
