This application claims a device which increases the lethality of conventional spring loaded rodent traps. The device serves to entice and hold a rodent on the trap in a position most lethal to the rodent when the trap is sprung.

A chip-clip type snap trap for rodents is provided that includes a bait cup covered by a bait cap that prevents setting of the trap when the bait cap is in place, high side walls to properly orient a rodent before trap activation, and grip elements on the lid and base to prevent finger slippage when setting the trap. An apparatus for controlling animal pests has a housing having a passage extending into the housing, the passage having a front wall and a rear wall, an impacting member movable across the passage from the front wall to the rear wall, the impacting member having a slidable arm extending out from the rear wall and having a free distal end having an impactor extending downwardly from the free distal end of the arm at the front wall, a retraction mechanism having a first support and a second support with the first support being integral with the rear wall, and a spring connected to the second support and the arm, a sensor positioned within the passage for providing a signal representative of the sensing of the presence of the animal pest, and the impacting member is operable to be released to rapidly move across the passage.

A microcontroller button for use with rat traps is provided that can connect to the internet and send messages to a predetermined IP address. The button is positioned underneath the trigger of nearly any rat trap and sends a Set message when not pushed and a Capture message when pushed. Upon activation, the button prompts a user to input WiFi credentials to establish an internet connection. The button's software can be accessed via a downloadable phone app, which displays trap status.

A strike trap is disclosed with improved reliability and ease of setting. In a preferred configuration the improved trap is in the form of a tunnel or tube trap. In a preferred embodiment the strike bar moves upward from a low position to strike against an interior wall or equivalent structure of the tube. The strike bar is set by pressing it downward to become automatically latched near a floor or bottom of the tube. With the downward set action a single hand or foot can provide the set motion wherein the ground or other support surface exclusively provides a reaction force. A two stage retention system provides reliable low force, low travel trip action. The strike bar therefore can pivot adjacent to a wall with the bar extending away there from. This compact arrangement ensures the tube entrances in the tube embodiment are adjacent to the wall.

A mouse trap including a frame, a first trapping member, a second trapping member, and actuator means for causing the first and second trapping members to move from an open position to a closed position. The first and second trapping members are pivotable such that they each pivot horizontally in an arc towards each other from the open position to the closed position. In some examples, the mounting bracket includes a flange portion suitable for attaching to the perimeter of a cavity in a building surface. The pest control device mounting system including a plug configured to be removably attached to the mounting bracket and to substantially close the portal when attached to the mounting bracket, wherein the plug is configured to accommodate a pest control device.

Described herein is an animal kill trap. More specifically, an improved animal trap configured for trapping and humanely killing small mammalian predators. The trap comprises an integrated enclosure which utilises the lid for setting the trap mechanism, and additionally acts as a safety mechanism wherein when the lid is the open position, the trap is deactivated and thus avoiding any harm to the user. The trap comprises a tunnel architecture which is appealing to the predators, and additionally has a capture flag to indicate when a predator has been captured.

The present invention is directed to one or more anchors that can be used to stabilize various types of animal traps to the ground. The invention comprises a clamping structure having at least two holes formed therein. The holes are axially aligned and formed in the top and bottom members of the structure. The invention further comprises a stake for anchoring the invention and trap to the ground. The clamping structure is designed to engage an edge or flange of an animal trap by positioning the flange in a groove in the structure and securing the structure to the flange using a threaded fastener such as a set screw. A threaded stake may be secured to a flange of the trap to anchor and stabilize the trap on the ground.
