Safety system based on hoistway access detection
Provided are embodiments that include a safety system and method for implementing presence detection. Embodiments can include a receiver that is configured to receive a signal from a transmitter, and a detection module that is configured to detect a signal strength of the signal. Embodiments can also include a processor that is configured to compare the signal strength of the signal with a signal strength threshold, and a task module that is configured to perform a task based at least in part on the comparison.
Method of configuring an elevator system
A method of configuring an elevator system (1), includes positioning a wireless communication device (4, 4) on or within an elevator car (2). When the elevator car (2) is in the vicinity of a landing floor (8a) of the elevator system (1), the wireless communication device (4, 4) transmits data comprising a unique identification code, or part thereof (26, 44) to a landing fixture (10a, 12a, 14a, 16a, 18a) on the landing floor (8a). The landing fixture (10a, 12a, 14a, 16a, 18a) receives the data. The method further includes, based on the received data, the landing fixture (10a, 12a, 14a, 16a, 18a) storing the unique identification code (44).
Method and system for controlling elevator for robot passengers
A method of controlling an elevator includes detecting that a robot providing a service on a floor within a building has gotten on an elevator moving through floors within the building, and controlling the elevator to move to a floor where the robot is to provide the service. At least one of the internal user interface and the external user interface of the elevator is configured to indicate whether the robot is using the elevator.
Calibration method and system for virtual buttons, elevator and storage medium
A calibration method and system for virtual buttons, an elevator, and a storage medium. The method includes: receiving a first designation regarding a layout of the virtual buttons in a virtual keypad zone; receiving a second designation regarding a number of the virtual buttons; and determining a position of each of the virtual buttons in the virtual keypad zone according to the first designation and the second designation.
Determination of the position of an elevator car in an elevator shaft
In an elevator system, a measurement system is provided in addition to an elevator car, an elevator controller and a transferring device configured to transfer electrical energy and/or information between the elevator car and the elevator controller. The measurement system has a transmitting device and a detection device which can be positioned separate and remote from the transmitting device by an air path. The detection device receives a measurement signal emitted from the transmitting device as electromagnetic radiation via the air path and converts it into an electrical signal. The transmitting device receives the electrical signal via the transferring device, determines a propagation time of the measurement signal over the air path by means of the electrical signal, and determines a distance (d) between the transmitting device and the elevator car by means of the propagation time.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR CONTROLLING ELEVATOR FOR ROBOT PASSENGERS
A method of controlling an elevator for a robot passenger includes detecting that at least one robot providing a service on at least one of the floors within a building has gotten on an elevator moving through the floors; controlling the elevator to move to a floor where the robot is to provide the service; and indicating whether the robot is using the elevator on at least one of an internal user interface and an external user interface of the elevator. The external user interface is configured to indicate that the elevator is being used as a dedicated elevator for the robot, and to disable at least one of indicators indicating whether the elevator is going up or down, the current location of the elevator, and a floor where the elevator is scheduled to stop, when the elevator is being used as a dedicated elevator for the robot.
Elevator system with simplified power supply for shaft door assemblies
An elevator system has a rail system and a shaft door assembly on each of a plurality of floors of a building. The rail system has an electrically conductive guide rail that extends along the plurality of floors and guides a vertically movable component of the elevator system, and an electrically conductive bracket on each of the floors anchoring the guide rail to a wall of the building. The guide rail is electrically conductively connected to each of the brackets. Each shaft door assembly has a movable shaft door for openable closing of a shaft opening of the floor and an associated control device and/or drive device for moving the shaft door; wherein the control device and/or drive device is supplied with electrical energy via two electrically conductive paths with a first of the electrically conductive paths being formed over at least parts of the rail system.
MODULAR ELEVATOR SYSTEM WITH CONFIGURABLE ARCHITECTURE
A method and elevator system includes a main module that is operable in a configuration mode, a detection mode, and an elevator operation mode. At least one sub-module is connectable to the main module when in the configuration mode, and the sub-module has an initialization mode and a recognized mode. At least one activation tool is selectively actuated by a user to activate the detection mode. In response to activation of the detection mode, the main module returns to the configuration mode and initiates communication with the sub-module while in the initialization mode. In response to communication from the main module, the sub-module communicates a plurality of sub-module characteristics to the main module. In response to review and certification of the plurality of sub-module characteristics, the main module accepts the sub-module as an approved sub-module and the sub-module enters the recognized mode.
Elevator communication system
According to an aspect, there is provided an elevator communication system. The system comprises an ethernet bus, at least one message forwarding element connected to the ethernet bus and being configured to communicate with a control entity that is external to the elevator system, and at least one elevator system component configured to communicate via the ethernet bus and being provided with an ethernet medium access control address. The at least one elevator system component is configured to at least one of receive an ethernet frame from the control entity and to send an ethernet frame to the control entity.
Systems and methods for determining elevator loads
A method for dispatching an elevator car that includes determining the elevator car is located at a first location of a plurality of locations, and a predefined positional count corresponds to each of the plurality of locations. The method includes determining a positional count of the elevator car at the first location, and determining a load of the elevator car at the first location based on a difference between the positional count and the predefined positional count corresponding to the first location. The method includes controlling an operation of the elevator car based on the load of the elevator car at the first location.
