DETACHABLE PANEL FOR AN ELEVATOR PANEL ASSEMBLY
20200385236 · 2020-12-10 ·

An elevator panel assembly comprises a detachable panel (4), for covering a front surface of an elevator car panel (2b), and a separation member (7). The separation member (7) comprises a head portion (7a) received against a back surface of the detachable panel (4). The detachable panel (4) is magnetically attachable to the elevator car panel (2b) and comprises a through hole (9) which is smaller than the head portion (7a) of the separation member (7) and arranged to sit directly over the head portion (7a). The separation member (7) is configured so that a tool inserted through the through hole (9) engages with the head portion to apply a mechanical force, causing the head portion (7a) to push against the back surface of the detachable panel (4).

SAFETY MONITORING DEVICE FOR MONITORING SAFETY-RELATED STATES IN A PASSENGER CONVEYOR SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR OPERATING SAME
20200346893 · 2020-11-05 ·

A safety monitoring device monitoring safety-related states in a passenger conveyor system has first and second double contact relays each controlled by a control voltage to switch first and second normally open contacts and a feedback contact synchronously between an open and closed relay states. First and second controllers each determine properties of the system correlated with safety-related states and in dependence generate the control voltages. The controllers and two double contact relays form first and second safety monitoring switch arrangements for monitoring first and second safety-related states and correspondingly switch first and second switching states within a safety monitoring chain of the system. The first arrangement includes the first contact of the first connected in series with the first contact of the second relay. The second arrangement includes the second contact of the first relay connected in parallel with the second contact of the second relay.

ELEVATOR CAR POSITION DETECTION SENSOR

To provide an elevator car position detection sensor capable of suppressing erroneous detection of presence or absence of a plate. The elevator car position detection sensor includes a first coil provided to one of an elevator car and a hoistway and configured to output an excitation magnetic field to a plate provided to the other of the elevator car and the hoistway; a second coil provided on an opposite side of the first coil relative to the plate; a shield wall configured to shield an end portion of the plate located closer to one of the car and the hoistway; and a determination circuit configured to determine a phase of an alternating-current voltage corresponding to a frequency of the excitation magnetic field output from the first coil at an alternating-current voltage generated across the second coil.

ELEVATOR DISPLAY SYSTEM

Hydraulic elevator system with position or speed based valve control

An illustrative example elevator system includes an elevator car and a valve assembly that selectively directs fluid flow to control movement of the elevator car. At least one sensor provides an indication of a current status of the elevator car, which includes at least a position of the elevator car or a speed of the elevator car. A processor receives the indication from the at least one sensor and adjusts operation of the valve assembly when the current status of the elevator car is different than a predetermined desired status.
