Mechanical hoistway access control device
A mechanical hoistway access control device for an elevator landing door includes a first and a second base plates mounted on the hoistway side of a landing door panel and arranged in parallel with one another, a slider slidably arranged between the first and second base plates and configured to move in conjunction with a car door and configured to protrude out from a door closing side end of the landing door by a first elastic member to take an extended position when the landing door is opened with no elevator car at the landing, and a latch attached to the landing door and configured to engage with the slider to keep the slider in the extended position once the slider protrudes out from the door closing side end of the landing door.
Elevator landing door lock safety system
Access prevention systems of elevator landing door locks including a landing door lintel for a landing door of an elevator system, a lock mechanism mounted to the lintel and arranged to enable unlocking of the elevator landing door, and an indicator feature on the lintel and aligned with the lock mechanism to indicate a location of a blocked locking mechanism, wherein the indicator feature is at least one of frangible or breakable to permit access to the lock mechanism when the indicator feature is broken.
Elevator car door interlock
An elevator car door safety device that uses flags along a hoistway is disclosed. The elevator car door safety device is mounted to the outside of an elevator car door using a mounting plate and includes a locking assembly mounted to the sill of the elevator car door. The car door safety device includes a lever with a hook at its distal end. The safety device also includes a flag engagement arm perpendicularly mounted to the lever. If the flag engagement arm engages a flag on the hoistway then the hook is prevented from being lodged into the locking assembly and the car door is permitted to open. Inversely, if no flag is engaged, the lever will continue to rotate urging the hook to be lodged within the locking assembly, thereby preventing the door from opening. An electric switch assembly can be used to stop the motion of the elevator.
ELEVATOR SYSTEM LANDING DOOR UNLOCKING MECHANISM
A landing floor door access system for an elevator system includes a door lock operably connected to a landing floor door, and a door lock controller operably connected to the door lock. The door lock controller is configured for non-contact communication with an access device such that communication between the access device and the door lock controller initiates a signal from the door lock controller to the door lock to deactivate the door lock. A method of accessing a hoistway of an elevator system, includes approaching a landing floor door of the elevator system, the landing floor door positioned at the hoistway, and initiating communication between an access device and a door lock of the landing floor door via non-contact interaction between the access device and the door lock. The door lock is deactivated via the non-contact interaction between the access device and the door lock.
Car door interlock with sill lock
A lock assembly for an elevator car door is provided including a car mechanism configured to move from a first position to a second position upon detection of a known condition. A contactor is mounted adjacent a lower portion of the elevator car door and is operably coupled to the car door mechanism. The contact is movable in response to movement of the car door mechanism to lock and unlock a portion of the elevator car door.
